"I have now purchased two guitars from Alto, sight unseen, through their website and both transactions have been perfect. My 812ce DLX Taylor was used at the NAMM expo and they made sure to let me know of even the slightest imperfection to make sure I was absolutely confident in my purchases. The staff is always extremely friendly and eager to answer any questions as well as each guitar was shipped/packaged quite well. It can be pretty daunting to purchase high end items off the internet and before playing them but they make seamless. Fantastic selection, great staff, what more could you want. I will be back ;)"
"Terrible businesss to deal with, no communication, shady people. I was guaranteed a guitar by Justin on an online deal, so I waited an hour for him to finally send me the invoice to pay. So he calls and tells me that it sold to someone else within that time. I was up at 7am waiting an hour for him to write the invoice, what a waste of time. I still don’t know believe the different stories I was told about how it was sold, from a few employees. Very shady situation. Couldn’t get a manager on the phone to tell me what really happened. "
"I bought a Yamaha Clarinet for my wife for 1236 USD, and had it delivered to a US address. The instrument arrived with several obvious defects, and several more which can be noticed only when trying to play it. I took it abroad (to my home country) and when my wife tried to use this present, she found all the defects. I payed about 135 USD for fixing it. Alto Music refused to compensate me. The instrument looks like a badly refurbished one.

"Found a great price on an item from Alto Music. Saw the lack of ratings and was almost afraid to order from them, but since they had physical locations in NY I decided I would take a chance. Paid off big time I saved a lot of money, got my item fast and it was exactly as described.
They were very prompt with shipping, confirmation emails coming to me for the entire process (order, payment, shipping, etc) Also I asked a question about the item before buying and they got back to me very quickly with that as well.

Not only did Alto Music have what I needed, but they gave me a better sales price than anyone that I've checked..and they didn't even have it in stock! I usually don't spend time writing reviews but I noticed that for some reason they only have a couple and it is my absolute pleasure to do one for them.
