"Illegally charged me new York state sales tax even though they are in new jersey and owner as well as manager admitted that money doesn't go to new York.

They sold me a new dehumidifier but sent me a refurbished one.

"Made an order for vacuum cleaner bags on 4/20. Waited until 5/5 and called customer support. They told me the shipment should be received from wherever they were buying it from by the end of the week. Called the next week and guess what? Something happened and they never got the shipment but they should be getting it by the middle of the following week. Called two weeks later... guess what?! still not in stock. They charged my card on 4/20 and here it is 6/6 and still nothing. I finally cancelled the order and asked for a full refund. Still have to wait and see if it comes through. AWFUL. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. IT'S A SCAM."

"Ordered 2 replacement hepa filters on a Sunday. Received the shipment on the following Friday but there was only 1 filter, even though the packing slip said 2 and my order said 2. I emailed customer service about the situation that Friday and received a response Monday that another filter would be shipped out. I didn't think about it for about 3 weeks and realized the 2nd filter never came. I called and was put on hold and basically ignored for a very long time and then I was disconnected. I called back and when I got someone I said I had been holding a long time and was disconnected and I heard the girl laugh and was hung up on again right as she was laughing. I called back and asked to speak with a manager or owner or someone else and she said that's not possible. She assured me my other filter was on the way and said the previous disconnections were not intentional and she was not laughing. Yeah right, anyway, the 2nd filter never came. Horrible."

"This is the most disorganized company I have ever seen. They do not answer phones, return voicemail, or return emails. They also charge your credit card immediately, but never ship out the items. After calling for over an hour,leaving multiple emails, and multiple voicemails (on other days), I finally got in touch with someone who says I will get a refund, but I am very dubious about this."

"Ordered a toy through Amazon.com which was fulfilled by Allergy Be Gone (ABG). The first issue was that ABG did ship the product by the shipping deadline causing the product to arrive 7 days later than the latest receive date. Since it was received 7 days late, it didn't make the trip that our family took in which we were to deliver the toy as a gift to family we were visiting.

We ended up sending the product back to ABG. While ABG received the returned product on 12/15, they didn't issue a credit until 12/27. To make matters even worse, they shorted me $3 on the credit.

In regards to their customer service. It's hit or miss if you ever get to talk to them. I've never received an email response from any email that I've sent them and on 5 attempts to call them, I was able to talk to a live person twice.

Given that there are so many other companies doing similar business, avoid any "low" price you might get from ABG and buy elsewhere.

"Allergy Be Gone has very poor service. I ordered several replacement filters for Honeywell HEPA units and only received part of the order. I called them and they promised to send the remaining items. They sent one of three. I called again and they agreed to send the remaining two which they haven't. They aren't accepting any calls today, but I intend to cancel the rest of the order and get a refund. I'm also contacting my credit card to open a dispute. I'll never buy from them again. I don't know why I didn't check ResellerRatings first this time like I usually do."

"Buyer beware! I ordered a portable air conditioner and recieved confirmation of my order. After 2-weeks, my unit had not arrived so I contacted Allergy Be Gone. They said that unit was discontinued and that it was never shipped. I was dumbfounded, and asked if anyone planned on telling me this. To make matters worse, they charged me for the unit, and I needed to deal with support to get my credit. Absolutely terrible!"

"BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered a vacuum cleaner from allergybegone despite the horrible reviews and should have not done so!! The website claimed that the product was in stock ready to ship in 24 hours so I thought it would be a smooth transaction. It was not a smooth transaction and the order ended up being backordered. My credit card was billed and I never received shipping confirmation. Here's where it gets ugly: I called them and was on hold for 10 minutes. After on hold for that long, the automated service put me through an answering service that said "Sorry mailbox full" and hung up on me!! This happened several times. They don't respond to emails and when I finally got a hold of someone, the representative stated that there was only 1 person answering phone calls and if too many people are calling, it sends you too the "full mailbox". I'll never shop with them EVER AGAIN!!"

"Items were easily ordered 11/23 and an e-mail was received 1/26 that they shipped. On 12/6 I e-mailed company that I had not yet received order and got a response that they checked with the shipper and items should arrive today. On 12/8 I still had not received the items and phoned customer service. I was told that the items had never shipped from the warehouse. I asked to speak with a manager. The only option offered to me was to cancel my order. I cancelled and ordered from Amazon. I received my covers four days later."

"BUYER BEWARE! Rarely do I bother to write online reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others consumers about Allergy Be Gone. To begin, I was supposed to receive a free gift with my purchase and never did. Then, among the items I bought was a Hoover Savvy vacuum cleaner. Within 2 months, it no longer worked. Within 6, the bottom fell off. I attempted to contact Allergy Be Gone by phone and email at least 20 times. The customer service is non existent. By phone only a voice mail, by email, no response. I did not even receive an automated response! Of all my online buying experiences, this has to have been the worst ever. EVER. I spent nearly $500.00 all together - and you would think that would merit at least the possibility to get a response. I cannot understand some of these positive reviews. But when I read the reviews from epinions.com, I realized I was in good company. PLEASE, make sure you check out ALL the reviews from different sites before overlooking my review. STAY AWAY!!!"

"This was a disappointing experience. I ordered some replacement humidifier filters and after many days waiting for shipment I contacted the store. They then informed me that the product was on backorder and would be at least another week before shipment. This should have been communicated to me immediately without me having to request more information. When my order was finally received more than three weeks after ordering I opened the box to find a generic replacement product and not the OEM product shown on their website."

"I ordered two room air cleaners and some replacement filters. The vendors price was the lowest (or at least among the lowest) and shipping on the larger items was free - a huge plus!! The items were shipped promptly and even arrived a day ahead of schedule.

Older reviews give the vendor a low rating. I didn't check reseller ratings before ordering (my bad), but I have to say that I was happy with my order with this vendor.

"Ordered a Nebulizer for over $200 on Friday evening 1/9/2009. It qualified for a free gift that turned out to be a silicone mixing spoon. On the following Monday I received 2 seperate shipping notices. One for a FedEx shipment and one for USPS. Tuesday the FedEx shipment arrived, it was the stupid spoon. The nebulizer is still with the USPS. I only live about 30 miles from this merchant so I decided that gound shipping would take maybe two days. Under normal conditions it probably would. But these people use a USPS "Shipping Partner" who took the packege to a USPS facility that was about 30 miles from me, in the oposite direction, than Allergy Be Gone. There it sat for a full day in a USPS facility in Brentwood, NY. Tomorrow will be it's third day floating around Long Island and I doubt it will be delivered then.
I don't understand the logic of using a shipping partner when it adds to the actual delivery time.

"On December 31, 2008, I ordered a vacuum from these guys through Amazon.com. I immediately received an e-mail confirmation from Amazon, but by Amazon's estimated ship date - January 2 - I had not heard anything from Allergy Be Gone. I sent an email through allergybegone.com requesting tracking info.

I received no response to my first e-mail, so on January 5, I sent them a similar e-mail through Amazon. This time, I received a response within an hour saying only "We will email tracking info shortly. Sorry for the delay" The next day when I still hadn't received tracking info, I replied to that e-mail, telling them I was still waiting for info. January 9th, Amazon's estimated date of when I should receive the vacuum came and went and I heard and received nothing. Now, January 13th, I have cancelled the order through Amazon and have yet to hear anything from Allergy Be Gone.
