"This company lives up to its name Allstar. The prices were very reasonable, they sent exactly what I ordered (a Kingston 256MB PC-133 SODIMM memory for my laptop computer), for $25.95 + $6 shipping.

The email sales confirmation came within a minute with the correct charge and saying the company would be sending a later email when the item shipped and the tracking number which they did the next day. A later email the same day confirmed the package was enroute. The next day the package arrived. It only took two days to get to me.

One minor complaint is the box was a little large for the memory chip. I could have fit 10 memory cards and packing in the box. But with all the packing peanuts and bubble wrap I do have to say the item came well protected.

I'm going to be a repeat customer for Allstar! They have got great service, honest prices and fast shipping."

"I ordered an Antec 1060Plus case w/ side panel fan on the 25th and received it on the 28th. Unfortunately, it wasn't the correct case. They sent me the 1060Plus without the side panel vent. Three e-mails on the 28th and 29th garnered no response. Since ASM didn't stock the side panels, I ordered from Newegg for $19 w/ $7 S&H. I needed the side panel as the customer needed his computer.

I spoke with a customer service person on the 3rd of Sep. (today) and told him the situation. I also told him that the web store was STILL showing the wrong case (even after my e-mail the previous week telling them of the problem). I wanted them to reimburse me for the $26 that it cost me to fix their screw-up. I was told they could only reimburse me for the cost of the panel ($19). After telling me they couldn't reimburse me for the shipping costs, he told me that since it was their screw-up, they would send me a shipping label so I could send the case back. Then they would send me the correct case. In other words, they were willing to eat the cost of shipping a computer case twice (there and back to me), but not willing to simply reimburse me for the $7 shipping it cost me to order the correct part from another vendor. Absolutely amazing.

Now, this $110 case (available w/o the side panel fan for that price from several vendors) has cost me over $180.

ASM had every opportunity to make this right by refunding me the WHOLE amount it cost me to fix their mistake, but they chose not to. The $7 they "saved" lost a potential good customer forever, one who had never shopped at ASM before (and never will again). A customer who purchases hundreds of dollars a week online. They won't see a penny of it.

"I live in Lake Forest, CA which is where all-star’s warehouse/office is located. Their place is literally 5 minutes from my house. I order from them all the time using their will call option to pick it up. Their located in the “high-tech” corner of the city. The first time I went over there, it surprised me on how nice their office was. They have a huge warehouse stocked with all the computer parts you can think of. Great place to buy. The only complaint I have is that they still charge $5 for a will call charge =/ oh well."
