"I ordered a M15x laptop from Alienware in mid june. Two weeks later, after making no progress building it or trying to conatact me, they emailed me saying that the keyboard was on backorder and would take a few more days and it would be shipped. waited another week and still no progress was made in shipping/building my computer. I complained and they said that it would take 8 to 10 more bussiness days to build and then ship. I needed the laptop urgently so i told them that i needed it shipped in the next few days or i would cancel my order. I guess they got the message and my computer was shipped out later that day. I got it a few days later from fedex. Nice packaging, everything was inclueded. But my "N" key on my keyboard is broken and just flops al over the place. That is my only complaint other than the month that it took for them to get it to me. I would give them a 3.25/5 I dont know if i would purchase another computer from them."

"Got the comp I ordered in great condition right on time.

And I love the thing! This is my second comp from Alienware, and even the times I HAVE had hardware issues, their customer service is EXCELLENT...even when one time it was just a bit of dust in a connector haha.

The internals of the computer are well laid out and neat and make accessing anything I may need to quite simple, and the computer itself runs great in its shipped configuration.

"This system is incredible! Even though it's a laptop, it still runs games far better than both desktops in my house, and one of those desktops is only about 2 months old. Aesthetically the system looks great, and the AlienFX lighting and webcam are really cool. Basically this computer can run whatever you would want a computer to run and is well worth the price. It really is that much better.
There are only a few issues I have. First the AlienSense facial recognition to login is really pretty much unusable. The idea of logging in using your face cool, but the time it takes the camera to recognize you is so long there's really just no point. Shoddy though it may be, AlienSense isn't what one would call a vital part of the system, so it doesn't affect the overall experience. The second issue was one that is to be expected from a powerful laptop: battery life. All I can say is, bring the ac adapter with you."

"i purchased an Alienware Area51 M15x. it's fast and has given me no trouble. i bought the computer to take to college, and i'm confident it can handle anything i throw at it. alienware's online chat service was fast and helpful in resolving a few questions i had prior to ordering. once ordered, alienware beat their initial estimated ship date by two days, which made me very happy."

"The order process with Alienware was a simple one, with one exception. I wanted to purchase the M17X laptop for my son's graduation, but it was backordered several weeks due to 1200p monitor delays. After waiting 3 weeks to learn this news, I come to findout that Alienware was not bnuilding this computer anymore, but that Dell had taken into their inventory. Fine, this was ok, but at that point, 3 weeks into the process, I was told that I could no longer use my Alienware credit line, since it was NOW a Dell computer. Disappointed, but at that point I wanted to still surprise my son with the FINEST gaming computer in the industry. We purchased the Area 51-M15X. He loves it. Great computer and the high tech security features with facial scan and color-changing keyboard is a nice touch. The computer arrived right on time, as promised, if you take out the initial glitch with the original order request, I just wish I could have used my Alien credit for a Dell computer...aren't they the same company? "I purchased an Area 51 -750i. Great product. Love the computer. Alienware understands gamers so they know what to offer for hardware and software, and they don't load up your system with a bunch of junk. Love the WoW preload package. It saved me a ton of download time.
Did have an issue during the order process where the status of my order was in question. Couldn't really get a straight answer on the delay, and was even told the online order status isn't really accurate... which is odd because it is accessable right from the home page. My order ended up being about a week late which was frustrating, but I'm happy with the system."

"I purchased an Area 51 X58 and it arrived in perfect condition and it has been running smoothly for me ever since I recieved it. I went ahead and ordered the G15 keyboard and G5 mouse as well, which I recieved in a timely manner. The computer has been everything I thought it would be and more. I am able to run Crysis, Fallout 3, Bioshock, EQ2, WoW all at the highest possible settings without any lag whatsoever. I am able to play for hours and the machine runs flawlessly. Alienware made a great gaming machine and I will be ordering from them again.

Order: I ordered the computer over the phone and it went great, the rep was nice and took care of all of my questions.

Order Processing: I was updated everytime it was going through a new phase and for me I felt it was processed quickly.

Shipment: It shipped on the day it stated and I recieved it in perfect condition with all the bells and whistles I had ordered.

"About a month ago I purchased the Area-51 m15x laptop. While I didn't customize it to its maximum capability, and I left out some of the features, I have not been disappointed with its performance. The ergonomics are great. The keys are very smooth and do not stick at all, and the laptop itself feels very well built. Screen is great, there's no glare (I heard that was a problem for many laptops). The order arrived actually a few days ahead of schedule, which was a welcome surprise. This laptop runs all of the games I play without any lag, such as Cod4, Mass Effect, Dead Space, and Crysis (Crysis just for testing purposes).
Very pleased with this purchase, and I would definitely buy from Alienware again."
