"New unit never worked for more than a few minutes at a time. Expended hours trying things. USBAV705 - Instant TV Deluxe USB (sells for up to $200) would not be regognized by a fresh XP SP2 PC (tried a few PCs) by device manager until unplugged & reconnected after each reboot. Unit runs very hot. Software awful. ADS Tech had me mail unit to them (they make it hard) - said sending a replacement but sent me back same unit - they do not offer refunds and do not honor warranty. Ended up buying a competitor (ATI) device which worked fine. As a tech for 20 years, have never seen such a bad company. Orb TV said may pull recommendation. Save yourself time - avoid ADS Tech. I'm contacting Attorney General to report these con men.

"Purchased a hard drive enclosure from a local Fry's retail location, which was advertised with a thirty dollar rebate from ADS Technologies. Since that time, I have spent literally hours trying to obtain this rebate, always being told that there is a check made out two days earlier than my call and it would be mailed "next week" via third class mail. I have received three different "check numbers", but no check. ADS says they are not responsible because this is a special arrangement between their sales people and Fry's, fulfillment is outsourced to a third party. Bottom line isI have no check after six month's and no help from ADSTech."
