Horrible quality control and service

"Service used to be good about a year ago, they now have gone severely down hill, about my 5th bad pc in a row. They refuse to do anything helpful except say send it in for repair which would be a lengthy turn around, and if it breaks in transit I’m responsible, or two send in my defective gpu and wait several weeks for one to come in so they can replace it. They do not care and for what I’ve gone through sincerely believe I deserve much better customer care considering the atrocious PCs I have received. I’ve gotten 3 of my family members to buy from them lucky for them no issues except one. But for me it’s been an absolute horror story. DO NOT buy an Abs pc. "

Computer came with a Bad GPU

"The computer was purchased through Newegg and arrived within several days. The cable management was fine, the computer booted up and started. upon doing a windows update it was discovered that the GPU was having issues. After reinstalling drivers and booting into bios it was determined that the GPU was bad and the product was returned. What else can be said. A major part of the PC wasn't functioning as soon as the product was started. Why did I have to diagnose it and not the builders. The pc should have been checked prior to sending it out. It's a quality control issue. This did solidify my decision never to buy pre-built again and I will be doing a custom order from another builder. I hope you consider doing the same. There are so many pc builders out there, choose one that will actually send you a working product."

They say everything you want to hear but don't actually do what they say they will do.

"My computer showed up at my door with a defective video card. I was initially told that if I got it shipped out to them before 5pm and sent them a picture of the drop off receipt that they would ship out my card that day (next day business day) and that I would have the card in my possession by the next day. I not only dropped it off the card at 4pm and emailed them the drop off receipt (proof that I had in fact shipped it) but called them to ensure they had received it and that my card would ship. I was told that everything was received and all was good on their end.

The card did not ship.

I emailed that evening asking for a tracking number and was told that the warehouse was closed and that it could not be retrieved at that hour.

I normally get notification from UPS when something has been shipped to my place and had not received it yet as of the the next day. I email again for a tracking number that morning. No response. I called in again and was told that they would release the video card. When I told them that means I'd get it Monday at the earliest they told me no they in fact shipped just next day and that I would get it Saturday or Sunday at the latest.

FF Monday. Still no card, email from UPS showing label was created but they did not in fact ship the card. UPS truck shows up, I check with driver, NO CARD! I DON'T THINK THEY EVEN HAVE THE DAMN THING!!!

I have been told for days that they would/had ship out my replacement video card. Promises made over and over again, promises not kept. I am so livid I cannot barely type this damn thing.

Worst customer experience ever. Bad quality computers, NEVER BUY!

"Bought a PC on Newegg on November 30th 2020. PC had blue and black screens, called the support and they sent me a new one, but have downgraded the motherboard for a cheap biostar. I Asked for a replacement (to have at least a motherboard as good as the one I got on my first machine), they said the only thing they could do is send the new motherboard so that I could replace it by my own. Would have built my own gaming PC, I am not working in computer science, that was the whole part of buying something already built. I also lost more than a month trying to fix that issue. Same review for Newegg, customer support is horrible (ABS are Newegg's in-house computers). Shipping was also extremely slow with Newegg"

Worst customer service I've ever experienced

"Purchased a $2300 PC through them. Graphics card was faulty on arrival. They had me send the card back before sending a replacement - which isn't a huge deal. Though, I would have much preferred a replacement to be sent asap, and the extra amount being held on my credit card or something. Especially with the rollercoaster I've been through with their customer service this last month.
The problem is that I was told the process should only take a week or so.
It's taken over a month.
And every time I contacted support, I was lied to. Let me explain.
First call- I explained my issue. Was told I would get an email or a callback within 24hrs. Waited 48 hrs. Nothing.

I sent an email and finally got an answer another 3 days later. They eventually generated an RMA and got a shipping label. So I sent it back asap.

Got an email from Newegg telling me I sent the wrong part back and that they are sending it back to me, although the RMA email told me specifically to ONLY return the gpu, so that's what I did. I called ABS again about this. They told me new people at the Newegg warehouse make this mistake sometimes, but the part wont be sent back and it will be resolved. And after that, the RMA should be processed within 2-3 business days and I should get an update. So I left it.

3 business days went by - no update. I waited a couple more days before giving them another call.
This time, the representative told me that they didn't have the power to look up my order details (???) so he set me up for a callback within 24 hours. OK. Well I waited 48 hrs and got nothing.
So I called back - this time, got someone who knew what they were talking about. Was confused about some parts of my order, and "pushed it through" so it wasn't pending. I finally got an email saying my "return was processed" a couple days later.

After that - I didn't get any updates for over a week. I assumed maybe it was just getting sent back and they didn't send me a tracking number. But this wasn't the case.
I called again, and spoke with someone else who couldn't help me. So I was told I would get a call back within 24 hrs, I told him I've never gotten a callback from them when I was told I would. But he assured me that it will happen this time.
Well. I never got the call. (I verified my phone number with them - which is also in the order information. So idk what's going on here).
I called back. Got someone else who was confused with what was going on with my order, again. He did something to my order and told me he would expedite it, and that I should get a tracking number that night. Well, I Never got the tracking number.
So I sent an email, got a reply within 24 hours telling me that the RMA is being processed. And if I want the tracking number - I need to reply to that email in another 48 hours.
I replied in 48 hours. Didn't get a reply for another 48 hours. But finally - I got the tracking number. Through OnTrac - who, for the record, wasn't used for my original shipment or my return label. And also was shipping my replacement through ground shipping. Which isn't very expedited.

As I'm writing this - I haven't received my graphics card yet. I'm tracking the package, and it says it got scanned into the facility in CA 2 days ago but that's it. And the package is supposed to arrive today. Problem is - I'm in WA. So OnTrac isn't updating their system, or their promise time is wrong. Either way, I'm extremely disappointed, and genuinely just annoyed at this point.

I spent over $2000 and I feel extremely disrespected as a customer. This process is absolutely terrible and something should be done about it. I've been nothing but respectful to the customer service representatives I've spoken with. I understand what working in customer service is like, but there is seriously a disconnect with their team at ABS. Maybe training is bad, structure is unorganized, or something. But I would never recommend an ABS product at this point.

Genuinely helpful people and quality equipment

"I just got a desktop from abs and absolutely I love it. The only thing I didn't like wat that I was unable to control the RGB on one of the fans, but the people in tech support helped me figure out what was wrong then sent me a whole 'nother set of fans with a hub + remote control to fix the problem. They were very friendly and helpful. Can recommend!"

Do NOT buy this computer!!!!

"I purchsed an ABS computer through Newegg a month ago it was suppose so come with Windows Pro on. I was upgrading because my old desktop was Windows 7 and was not supported anymore. So my main focus was having a computer with current Windows on it. My computer came in no windows activation anywhere on it or in the box. I have been dealing with customer service at ABS since it came it. All I get is a run around and no activation code. I saved my boxes with be returning this product customer service is aweful!!! "

My PC never worked

"I purchased this PC during the week leading up to Black Friday, it was well priced and I went for it disregarding several other online deals.
It did not work out of the Box!
NewEgg decided to issue a refund which now leaves me with no PC, and a refund on the way.
I paid for this PC and my money was in someone else bank for over 2 weeks.

ABS and NewEgg could have done a better job to in customer service and provide me with some options instead of just refunding my order.

I have now missed the Black Friday deals altogether and nobody wants to own up to it.

I am disappointed.

Horrible Gaming Desktop

"I bought this gaming desktop, and every hour while gaming it freezes up for 5 seconds and lags. You can imagine how bad this would be in a raid. I had to pay for shipment back to the repair place in California. After more than 2 months of ABS working on this. They sent it back and it still has this issue! On top of that, sometimes the sound drops out mid game and I have to restart the game client completely. What a waste of money this piece of sh*t is. I hate ABS and their repair shop for how bad of a quality they have for this desktop.

Computer died in less than 7 months

"The computer died in less than 7 months and I sent it back for warranty repairs. So far, it has been 5 weeks, and I can't even get a status. No one in customer support responds to my email. I bought it through newegg.com, and they also have proven to be worthless. Very disappointed!"
