11days n they still haven't shipped 2 bags of blue buffalo dog food

"This company fails. I attempted to contact them via text twice and email once to find out their typical shipping times. Their website says they ship next day if u order after 3pm...this has not been the case for my order I placed on feb 15th. Tiday is the 26 and my order still reads "preparing for shipment." My dogs ran out of food and i bpught 15lb to hold them over. I should of just ordered from chewy.com but 1800petmeds was $12 cheaper. I always receive my chewy orders 1 day after I place them...it's like they have a magic portal. Even Amazon deliveries have been taking a week to deliver but chewy is always like POOOF heres ur order..they have spoiled me fir other companies. Anyhow, I wouldn't be so bothered by the long wait for my order had they informed me of the issue,, but they have chosen to ignore my inquiries. Plus I'm out of dog food AGAIN..."

Horrible customer service- Jessica manager

"On 12/23 I placed an order for my dogs regular flea and tick. That order was neither shipped nor delivered in the promised time. Second order, did not get shipped nor delivered in the promised time. Had to literally call for two days in a row just to get them to approve my already approved order. So they offer credits on my account. Cool, I’ll order some stuff for my dogs and then never call them again. So I ordered some treats, dog bed, etc. the dog bed was heated for the winter. Well, but shocker it came broken. I called in on the 5th to let them know the heating element was busted. They inform me they are sending out a replacement and just trash the one I have. Cool. So I wait, wait. Today January 12th I call in to get tracking for my order and speak with the lovely Jessica. It takes us about 15 minutes for her to even pull up the correct order. Once we find the order we find out a replacement was never sent. Shocker again from this company. I’m done, I don’t want a replacement or anything else to do with this company. There are so many places to buy pet meds, I recommend finding them and staying far away from this company. "

"asked my vet to fax authorization which they DID 4 x to Pet Meds. Then they ask you to mail it to them. this isn't 1984 and this company is beyond incompetent. i mean literally MORONS. good luck with your order if you choose not to read how many times this same review is posted. "

"It's hard to stay mad at these guys, even with a delay they were just so kind and friendly on the helpdesk all my anger just melted away.
They ended by sending my doggie a huge hug lol!

Excellent service

"I had an excellent experience with 1800 pet meds. I called 1800 pet meds because my dogs heart worm RX had expired. They put me on hold and called the Vet and got confirmation from my vet. They overnighted my order free of charge so I could get my dog his heart worm medication on time. Customer service is excellent every time I call them. I couldn’t be happier with this company! Thank you 1800 Pet Meds for great customer service and caring about are animals!

Great customer service

"I dealt with 800 pet meds until my dog passed away & never once had a problem. They honored prices I got via email, promptly notified my vet if authorization was needed & I received my orders in 5 days or less. They even gave me a refund for an item my dog didn't get to use since she passed away. When my heart heals from losing Jazzy & i get another dog, I will continue to use 800 pet meds. Great customer service "

Stay away

"After two weeks of waiting for my order, still hasn’t come. I call everyday, they say it’s shipping today and they will email a tracking number. Never comes. Everyday they say the same thing. Terrible customer service. Terrible company. Go somewhere else!!"

Bad experience

"They send me an email for reordering 2 prescriptions. I get a call a week after confirming the order and the pharmacist tells me that I am ordering 1 if them too early! How am I doing it too early when they are the ones sending me the reminder to order again? Then the pharmacist had me count the remaining pills I have. When he finds out I will need more in a week, he questions me about it like I am misusing my 18 year old dogs meds. My dog takes 1 peice of a pill every 8-12 hours (or as needed for pain). I have never been treated this way when ordering his medications elsewhere. The man or woman on phone was rude and unhelpful! I have cancelled the order with 1800petmeds and will happily get them filled through my vet again. They did not care one bit about losing a customer, nor did they try anything to correct the issue. I DO NOT recommend 1800petmeds for elderly animals that require medication to function!!! I will never order with them again for any animal I have due to the way they handled this refill (that they sent me an email saying it was time to order again)!! Terrible customer service!"

Bunch of liars

"The website says that they will call your doctor for an O.K. for a prescription
medication. I ordered late in the evening and at 3:00 in the morning they told me that the clinic told them that a written prescription was required. Who were they talking to? The cleaning lady? Certainly not my doctor. They use this ploy to get your order, but can't be bothered to make the call. I used another website the next day and had no problem.

Very Helpful service

"Just called 1-800 PetMeds to order medications prescribed for my dog. Staff very helpful and professional. They were willing to match the price of another online pharmacy (K V Supply) ...which has horrible service as well as the Pet's Choice Pharmacy that they use).

1-800 PetMeds have their own pharmacy and do not out source to anyone else. Will see how the process goes...but so far, very good service.

Very unhappy

"I ordered an 18 month supply of NexGuard as they were offering it at a good price. They sent me a 3 month supply with no explanation but charged me for the full 18 months. When I sent a request to customer service the only reply I received was that a vet, who is not my vet, only approved a 3 month supply. I have asked what they are going to do about a refund but have received no response. I am contacting my credit card company to refund my money. I won’t be using this company again.

Illegal advertising

"Dear customers, what PetMeds do fulfills the criteria of illegal advertising.

When selecting the supply, one should answer to the following question: "do you want a 3 pack, 6 pack or 12 pack?"

If you make the mistake of purchasing the 3 pack assuming that you will get three packs of this product, a justified assumption based on their very high price, you'll be surprised. You'll only end up with a box, which includes 3 ...pills.

You'll find nowhere on the box the word 'pack' obviously -- the makers were a bit more sincere than 1800 PetMeds.

Useless to say, emailing the company solves nothing. Stay away, please!

Years of Excellent Service

"My husband and I have been using this company for quite a few years. It's not just for pet supplies but for those all too expensive medicines our furry friends need.

We get the prescription from the vet and submit to PetMeds and save a fair amount of money most of the time. (Occasionally, it's just as expensive, if not more so, with them once shipping costs are included.)

We have one cat who seems to constantly have special needs. The specialized food cost was out of this world and PetMeds not only a good value, but had a subscription plan which reduced it even further. My husband particularly likes the fact that we no longer have to remember to order it in time.

No company is perfect, and there was a mistake made some years ago, but PetMeds corrected it immediately. Their customer service was very responsive and a delight to deal with.

Still waiting on medicine after 10 days, no information from "customer service"!

"I have had good experiences with these guys for over the counter stuff, although I don't buy much of that. I mainly buy compounded medications for my cat. This usually takes 7 days to receive in the mail and I usually get the medication before I even get the tracking number because communication between 1800PetMeds and their compounding pharmacy is so poor. This time, I did not receive the medication nor any tracking information. I chatted with them online, they said they would get the tracking information and send an email with it. Received email saying the medication had shipped, but no tracking information. I chatted them again the next day since the compounding pharmacy would have been closed by that time, they again said they would get the tracking information and send it. Still nothing. Gave them one more chance in chat, still nothing, so I called them the next day (day 3 of trying to get tracking information from them for a package that was supposedly sent out 3 days ago from the same city I live in). I got the usual runaround from customer service rep, asked to speak with supervisor, she claimed to be a supervisor - I don't know if that's true or not, but either way, she did no follow-up and did not get any information for me and I still did not have the medication 4 days now after it was supposedly sent. I called again on the 5th day, the guy I spoke with started giving me the same runaround, I asked to speak with a manager. He went away for a bit then said the manager was calling the compounding pharmacy to find out about the order. I didn't really believe him after the runaround I'd been getting all week, so I asked him if the manager would call me within 30 minutes with the information, he checked and said yes. I was surprised when the manager called back. The bad news was that the medication had never been shipped. She was very apologetic and said they've been through a lot of compounding companies and have a lot of problems with getting information from them, so we discussed that and I made suggestions about making it better. The good news (I hope) is that she said she spoke with a senior person at the compounding pharmacy who will make sure I get the medicine tomorrow, and she will send the tracking number as soon as she gets it. She also said she is refunding the full cost of the med since this was so poorly handled. I really hope she is telling the truth, because if I don't get the med tomorrow, I will not buy anything from them again. Getting meds should NOT be such a hassle, and if I hadn't kept pestering them and eventually escalated this, I never would have gotten my pets meds. I know to allow extra time when dealing with mail order companies, but this experience has been ridiculous. If I do get the med tomorrow, then I will consider buying from them again or might go with vetrxdirect instead, I haven't decided that quite yet. They have been much better with communication but they don't have a money back guarantee like 1800petmeds does."
