"I have been purchasing parts from GM Parts Depot for several years, for two classic cars I own. While many parts are unavailable, other genuine components can still be purchased. Questions are answered promptly, and the people seem to take extra steps to ensure your order is fulfilled. For example, I recently placed an order for various parts, one of which was for a complete fuel pump & sending unit. Chris was unable to obtain the part from GM, but was able to acquire a genuine sending unit without the fuel pump. Chris went further by recommending a quality after-market fuel pump for the assembly. This combination resulted in less cost, and a rebate was issued for the difference. GM Parts depot is operated by Jim Tubman Chevrolet located in Ottawa, Ontario. While there are online dealers located in my area within the GTA, the dealers here charge exorbitant shipping fees - roughly $400 to ship a box of parts that weigh roughly 3 pounds, and aren't large boxes (I paid nothing for shipping through GM Parts Depot for the exact same order). GM Parts depot charges reasonable shipping fees - shipping is free if you spend over $100. They will continue to receive my business in the future. Shipping is fast once GM Parts Depot gathers all of the parts for your order - this is important because it could take a few days for GM Parts Depot to gather all parts of your order (a point often overlooked by many impatient people). My level of satisfaction is good enough that if I wanted to purchase a GM vehicle in the future, I would consider driving the four hours or so from the GTA to Ottawa to give them the business.
