Newegg's response when the fauls lay with customer: Newegg has a heart!
“Last week, I ordered an LG Monitor from Newegg. Unfortunately, I was multitasking when I placed the order and mistakenly specified a 27" model, which would not fit on my desk, instead of the 22" model which would. Newegg's delivery was lightning fast, even though I had not specified anything but ordinary Fedex Ground. Only then, from the package, did I become aware of my mistake. I called Newegg, explained my predicament. They graciously agreed to waive the 15% restocking, on condition that the package was unbroken and I placed my order for the 22" model promptly. Since they had every right to apply the restocking fee, their agreement to waive it under the circumstances show me that Newegg understood their customer's innocent mistake and agreed to absorb the expense of restocking. To me, that meant that Newegg has a heart as well as a smart mind.”
