I placed the order on Friday night and I got the shipping confirmation on Monday morning. The stroller arrived in great condition 3 days later.”
“I ordered a Baby Trend Double Jogger from VM Innovations. They had fast shipping and the stroller arrived in great condition. Their website was a little odd and seemed to drop my coupon after completing my order. I phoned their support line and the person I spoke with said it was common but that it would charge the correct price. My credit card was charged the right price and everything worked out great.”
“I ordered a Big Easy Turkey Fryer for in-store pickup. The ordering process was easy and the order was ready for pickup in about an hour. The representative at the customer service desk took a minute to figure out the process for picking up merchandise for an online order. Otherwise, it was a painless experience.”
“Placed an order for some personalized gifts and used PayPal for payment. Order showed up on PayPal but not Disney Store. After 3 days I called and asked for order status but the order was totally missing in action. Some sort of system disconnect. The CSR was incredibly nice and allowed me to buy the same items at the original price, but one item was of course out-of-stock.
Personalization took awhile (placed 2nd order 11/07/2012, shipped 11/20/2012), but there was a big sale on personlization so I assume there was a backlog. Shipping was decent, UPS Ground.
This one wasn't the best experience, but overall OK. Not my first Disney Store order and definitely not my last. Most other times have been better but with slower shipping.”
“I planned to order a TV which was on sale for $449 before $100 rebate. Imagine my surprise when the TV showed $349 before rebate once I added it to my shopping cart! I went through the order process where the "Order Review" screen told me my total was $377 after tax and free shipping. I couldn't believe my eyes when the order confirmation told me I had paid $595! There was -ZERO- notice or confirmation of the price change before I placed the order. If that wasn't enough, my CC had been authorized for another amount, $495.
I immediately tried to call their customer service number but their automated system told me that their call volume was high and hung up on me. It took 30 minutes of calling over and over as well as finally waiting on hold for 15 minutes to talk to someone.
I explained that I had bought the TV for $377 and somehow the price had changed. The CSR told me that the price CAN freely change anytime between when I place the order and when their system processes the order. I was finally "approved" to purchase the TV for $449 and told that my order wouldn't be changed to the correct price. I was lucky to catch the order before it shipped so that I could cancel it.
To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It almost felt like those bait-and-switch horror stories of the Brooklyn camera stores. I can't imagine purchasing anything again if you can't even rely on purchasing the item for the price they say you'll pay.”
