pros: the samsung tv did eventually come

cons: the entire ordering process!
Thur: I placed the order on a thursday and immediately got an email saying my order will be shipped in 2 days. This would be the only email notification I'd receive during this whole ordeal.
Fri: waited for shipping confirmation.

Sat: customer service closed. waited for shipping confirmation.

Sun: customer service supposedly open but no one answered the phone. waited for shipping confirmation

Mon: called in to check the status of order. Victor said that order was delayed because the shipping address didnt match the billing address. I told victor I had called the bank earlier that day and had already added an authorized shipping address. He replied that the order should be shipped the next day. He then sold me discounted expedited delivery which i accepted. I was getting impatient.

Tues: still no response so I called again only to be told that my card was denied for some reason. (No email about this was sent... God knows how long I would have waited to find out had i not called in!) confused, I told them to hold my order while I sorted out the mess with my card company.

Wed: called card company and made sure there were sufficient funds. called buyersedge and had them try the order again. they told me to expect shipping confirmation the next day.

Thur: still no shipping confirmation. I called and once more they told me the card was rejected, and that I should have received an email about this (i didnt). I told them there was more than enough money on the card. They put me on hold... and then tried to tell me that my card wasnt accepted because it was a Walmart Visa card! I insisted that I made online purchases with the card all the time, so they put me on hold once more.... and finally came back to tell me that the order had been pushed through.

Fri: The day before (thur) Buyersedge website had advertised that samsung tvs purchased on that day would come with a free wall mount and surge protector. I called and inquired to see if I qualified for the deal, since my order had technically gone through only the day before (even though i ordered it a week ago). Rep told me he had no idea what I was talking about. I swallowed my anger and resigned myself to the fact that the transaction had finally gone through....

6 days later the tv was finally delivered. end of story. If i had ordered from another vendor I would have received my order in half the time frame.

The moralof the story is buyersedge may have a lower price than other vendors, but you end up paying for it with sub-par customer service. I never had such a hard time getting a merchant to take my money! And no emails were sent out other than the initial one, so when something goes wrong in the transaction process there's no way for you to know. You really have to call and hound them every step of the way.
