“Terrible customer service. I ordered a cover for my rifle scope and was very careful to pick the correct size when ordering. I even went as far as going to the manufacturers web site to double check the item numbers because the measurements on the Optics Planet web site were not correct. I ended up receiving the incorrect size so initiated an RMA, which required that I pay shipping back to them. Because I was going to be leaving for a hunting trip shortly I did not have the time to argue and the particular model was not being handled elsewhere. Shortly after sending the RMA I received a notice saying there were ready to ship, but needed MORE MONEY FOR SHIPPING! I called the customer service department and the person there said they would get the shipping charge reversed, but it would take a few days. Because as I mentioned I didn't have the time, I just paid the shipping and asked that she get it refunded, she agreed. I never heard back so called again and of course there was no record of my call. This rep said the same thing, that they would refer the request to their shipping area to refund my money. Once again, days went by and there was no contact. I called again and once again, no record of my past calls were available. This time the customer service rep (who I recorded) made it sound like the entire thing was my fault and basically said they were doing be a favor by even checking with the shipping department. I then sent several emails (all documented) requesting this be handled. In one case the person responding apologized for their late response and saw that the issue had already been resolved. WHAT? IT WAS NEVER RESOLVED! I wrote back and they just described how they "tried" to get back the shipping charges. Give me a break. Take my advice and NEVER order from this scamming company!”
I needed a specific motherboard for a client build in short time and they were the only supplier that had it listed at the time. I've never shopped there before so I checked the Reseller Ratings, which looked good. I contacted them with my shipping concerns and they went over and above to make sure I got it when I needed it. AND they tolerated my annoying emails, "Is it shipped yet, is it shipped yet, is it shipped yet?? :D LOL!”
“Second order in an approximately a week that was cancelled due to being out of stock. In each case the item was listed in stock, but coincidentally enough they were the lowest price and best deal for the quality of their current stock. One time I can understand, but twice is an obvious "bait and switch" ploy. I should have been alerted when the customer service agent suggested a less desirable product on my first order.
On the second cancellation the customer service agent gave me this big story that basically breaks down to "we have no idea what we have in stock at anytime so when you make an order, we'll take your money there on the spot, earn interest from it when combined with all the other saps we took to the bank and then tell you that we don't have the item a couple days later. Oh, but we do have this hideous substitute that you could buy instead..." thanks, but no thanks. Caution when buying, if you even bother, and if I were you I would just look for a legit deal somewhere else...
Update: As expected after my third email to them they have not replied, yet they keep sending me their SPAM emails about specials and sales probably 3 times a week even though I have unsubscribed several times. How low can they go.... ”
“I ordered on-line on Saturday the 17th, was notified that the package was ready to ship on Sunday the 18th, received the package on Tuesday the 20th. It really does NOT get ANY better than that. The parts were all excellent quality and communication with them was great! A-1 all the way around. Definitely going to do repeat business with them...”
