Damaged Item Return Exchange Refusal

We purchased a replacement Dell Maintenance Kit which is a two item product. The belt unit was fine, however the fuser was damaged out of the box. Called Newegg to request a replacement and was told they are not responsible to take up my issue with Dell. Got a call back from someone named Nate, he asked me to call back to provide more detail. I called back twice and it is now well past a week nothing from Nate or anyone else from Newegg interested to provide solution oriented follow up. I paid Newegg, they sent product to me, not Dell. Newegg should take responsibility, they took my money.
