Bad quality, worse customer service.

"I opened up a claim with beach store regarding a damaged pole on an umbrella I purchased. The original decision on the damaged pole was I would get either a refund or replacement

After asking for a refund, I got neither a refund or replacement or any notice that I was not getting either.

After contacting beach store via phone, I was told that a replacement pole was on the way to me, however I never got the pole or any notice that I was not getting the pole.

Additionally, when I first got the umbrella, the sleeve that is used to store the umbrella was missing the cord at the top that is used to tighten the top of the sleeve, I decided that I could live with that defect

And most recently, the last time I used the umbrella, the **** the sleeve gave way due to inferior stitching.

Bottom line is I think I purchased a piece of junk and am quite unhappy with the customer service. This will certainly be the last purchase I make from beachstore.com

Shipped the wrong product, not new and dirty. Customer service is unresponsive

"I ordered one RIO 6.5' Sun Blocking Vented Beach Umbrella w/ Sand Anchor - Margaritaville Stripe order no. 270-SO111071 on 10/17/2017 but received instead a low quality, not new umbrella branded Hang Ten on 10/18/2018. The umbrella I received is not only not the product that I ordered, it is a cheap umbrella, it is not new, it is scratched and it is even dusted with sand!
I immediately submitted case number CA 17015 with photos, requesting authorization for return and a full refund for $40.04 which includes the product price, taxes and shiiping; I have also sent follow up emails and have called their customer service phone number with no response
I am attaching photos of the product that I receive to prove that it is not new and it is dirty with sand.
I request once more either a full refund or exchange for a new product, the same brand and model that I ordered.
I finally received a replacement product of the correct brand, in new condition. Case is resolved to my satisfaction

"Every year my family and I go to the beach during the summer. We bought chairs years ago from Beach Store and have been satisfied ever since. All of are friends have admired them so we decided to purchase more chairs as presents during the holidays for are friends and family. We all agree these products are elegant classics that will last many summers at our beach house! I definitely think if your looking for beach chairs you should buy from Beach Store! "

Horrible Customer Service

"On 7/20/17 I ordered a chair online. I received the chair that I ordered with no problem. When I opened the box and tried out the chair in my home, I discovered that when the chair was in the most upright position and I leaned back against the back of the chair, as though I were going to dig the rear leg assembly in the sand, the left arm rest popped out of the most upright position into the next position down while the right arm rest stayed in its original position. I immediately contacted customer service about this issue and was told I would have to "prove" the defect by sending pictures. I was surprised by this request as I have never had to "prove" that something was wrong with a purchase, but I took the pictures that clearly showed how the left arm rest had popped out of the original upright position and sent them. I was told, numerous times, that the pictures didn't show the defect, which was a flat out untruth on their part. The pictures I took very clearly showed the difference in arm rest positions. At one point, I suggested that we resolve the issue by them sending me a return label, I would return the chair and order another one. I was told this wasn't possible. I would have to send the chair back at my own expense and they would determine if there was a defect and then I would be reimbursed for the shipping I paid. That's what I did and notified them them chair was coming, had arrived, and where was my refund. Between 8/10/17 when the chair was delivered back to the store and 9/5/17 when I finally was able to get some satisfaction, all I heard from the store was that the pictures I had sent were not sufficient for them to determine the issue and that I had to send more pictures. Finally, on 9/5/17, I managed to talk to someone who told me that they had determined that they had determined there was no defect and I would get only the cost of the chair back in refund. Only by having to raise my voice was I able to get the original cost to be of the chair and shipping refunded to me. The amount of $37.72, the cost of shipping back the chair via the method they sent it to me, would not be refunded to me. I have to say, the whole time I dealt with this company I felt as though they thought I was trying to put something over on them. I asked what was it I could possibly have had to gain by trying to return a non-defective chair that I obviously wanted, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it, if there was not a problem. There was no answer to that question. I've never written a review one way or the other before, but felt I had to tell about this bad experience. "

"I ordered 2 beach chairs from beachstore.com. on June 26, 2017. At the time of the order both chairs were labeled as in stock and ready to ship. After a few days I began checking the status of the order, but it is impossible to do so. You are instructed to call a representative, which I did, however no one answers the phone. A week later my persistence in calling paid off, even though I waited 15 minutes for someone to answer. The representative asked if he could call me back in a few minutes while he called the shipping department to find out where the order was. He did get back to me, only to tell me that the chairs were not in stock and would not be able to be shipped until July 28th or so, too late for my use on a vacation. I don't know when they were planning on telling me, but I cancelled the order and will be receiving the same beach chairs from Amazon in a few days. "

No human answers the phone and of course you don't get a reply to your messages. Will be turning them in to BBB. Hopefully no one does online business with this merchant, so disappointed. "

Bad Service

"I don't know what the problem is but they sent me the wrong goods and they won't respond to my inquiries.
I can't get them to answer the phone or respond to emails.
Their return policy is 30 days and I have to get a pre-authorization. 5 days left and no authorization or other communication.

Be careful!

Worse customer service ever

"I ordered a beach chair and was shipped incorrect item. I was promised an correct item would ship right away and this time I received a 9' umbrella. Again I was promised correct item would be shipped and shipping labels would be issued to pick up incorrect items. Now nothing seems to be happening.They do not answer the phone and they have quit responding to my email requests on their website. I am puzzled as to why they don't seem to want to pick up the incorrect items as I was not charged for the umbrella and it worth $100."
