Deleted ALL pictures!
"They deleted all pictures! Not only ones from last year or year before. But ones from this year also. Some those where uploaded like week before they Deleted Them. Talk about Poor service!!!!!!!!!! I get deleting old pictures specially if people didn't order them within month. But think poor of them only give people month time order other wise they going Delete All pictures worse part was going order the following week. Was going be album, I use to recommend them just cause knowing they weren't as bad of other low grade labs on there printed items. But I now don't recommend them much if do give people heads up Not upload unless able buy right then cause they delete pictures without giving you much notice, actually think was less then a month notice. Poor customer service when comes to notify people about this would be better get 60 day notice at less & fee reminders up to & including day of. "Since emails do get buried!""

"Don't trust them with your photos. They deleted all TEN years worth in a technical oversight. This should NEVER happen. Buyer beware, if it can happen once it can happen again. Go with someone else."

"I buy a LOT of photos. I copy and hand out photos of our ancestors to my family, and I have a big family. They LOVE them. I had one problem once, they handled it immediately. They have fantastic deals too, all the time. Once I got an 8X10 that was a gift in a flimsy envelope. I messaged them that I was disappointed. That's it. I didn't expect or request a replacement. I got the replacement just days later. Really have so many good experiences with them. "
Horrible Seller -Do not buy from them
"If I could give 0 stars I would. Purchased a custom photo travel mug. Item arrived a day late but that didn't bother me. I received on Thursday instead of Wednesday. What bothered me is the item was shipped in a VERY thin white box with no protection. Then they put that in a regular UPS shipping envelope with NO additional wrapping or protection against damage. I opened and several pieces fell out. The box was mangled, top was completely torn off, and mug was falling out of box. The handle was completely broke off and mug was dented. Photo quality was crappy too. I emailed and sent photos to seller. NO RESPONSE!! I had to go out last minute gift shopping and now you know why I am a VERY dissatisfied customer. "
Customer service treats you like an idiot.
"This is the third order I placed with York Photo. The first two I had a good experience and was able to receive help from customer service without a headache.So, I trusted them to print my Christmas cards this year. I ordered my prints mid November to ensure that I would have my items in a timely fashion. 10 days later my photos arrived and both were cropped more than shown during the creation. The photo was within the aspect provided by the editor upon ordering. I called customer service for help and asked what they can do to help resolve this issue as it is time sensitive. I was greeted RUDELY by the first lady that answered. Before I even explained my problem she was SO rude and immediately told me to hold on. 2 minutes later she comes back to the phone and I explained what happened. She tells me well it is your problem because you didn't leave an extra 1/8 of an inch. I explained that no where on the website does it instruct me to do so. She told me to make a portrait and pay for expedited shipping. I asked to speak with someone else since she was clearly not interested in helping me. Donna called me back about 10 minutes later and I explained to her the situation. She gave me some industry jargon saying "I don't know if you know anything about digital photography or not"... and went on to make me sound like I was a first grader that colored outside of the lines. She told me my order would not qualify for complimentary shipping because the company would lose money on the order.So the summary of this mess is that you get what you pay for. Cheap prints = cheap looking prints + cheap customer service that only cares about money and not customer satisfaction.What they don't realize is that if they would have taken care of my problem (not given me free prints but at least upgraded my shipping) - I would have continued to order items from them and they would have continued to make money from me. So either way WILL lose money because I'll never purchase anything again and I will tell every single person I know how much York Photo ****. Don't trust any pictures you consider important with these people. "
"Disappointed. Ordered 20 PHOTO CARDS with envelopes. Expected CARD STOCK. Received 20 PHOTO PRINTS with my greeting printed on the photo. Feeling DECEIVED. "
"Well my review is a lot different that those I've read. I wanted to order my wife some photos for Christmas but being a man I waited till the last minute, literally. On Monday 12/21/15 I uploaded 1,884 (that's right 1,884) photos and didn't finish till around 12:30 am Tuesday morning. I didn't even hold out any hope of getting them by Christmas. I choose overnight shipping and to my surprise, I received an email Tuesday saying they were shipping. I couldn't believe it but Wednesday morning they were on my porch, all 20lbs. I am very happy with their service and the pictures look great. "
"Let me preface my review of York Photo by noting that I am adept at photo books and have worked with competitors products without issue. With York, the upload process is smooth, but after that there is not another portion of the design software that runs smoothly. The editing process is limited, the "help" feature cites fixes that do not exist in the current design software. The process was so glitchy that out of desperation, I switched from Chrome to Internet explorer. The improvement was noticeable, but customer service insisted there shouldn't have been a difference. A word of caution to groupon users: Once you start a project, you cannot apply your groupon to an up-sized project and pay the balance. You have to scrap the project and start fresh. This is in the fine print; best to read it. For that matter, the design software does not allow you to change book size during a project and redesign as necessary. You must delete project and begin again. Finally, when using multiple groupons/coupons, you must complete each purchase separately even when ordering duplicate copies of the same project. To add insult to injury, this forces individual shipping charges. I was told that it would cost triple to have my 3 photo books sent to the same address. At $6.99 to ship each book, it cost me $21 to ship 3-8x8 photo books. If shipped together the combined weight would have been under 2lbs. It appears to be a shrewd means to recoup the discounted price through exorbitant S&H. This is not a manufacturer I would ever use again, even if the end result is beautiful. I haven't seen it yet, but the process of making the project was so frustrating the end will not justify the means. I called customer service 3x during the process. They were unhelpful and totally "flat" in affect. Pleasantness did not seem to be a job requirement."
"York photo is the WORST possible option for storing any photos or buying them for that matter. They overload your email with "special offers" aka junk mail and send you ONLY one warning by email when they are going to PURGE your photos from their system completely, so that you have no chance to get ANY of them back EVER. That email does not say anything about that by the way, just that the photos will be expiring and deleted, no mention of never recovering your precious memories. DO NOT EVER USE YORK unless you store your photos elsewhere and are looking to make a calendar that would turn out better at Shutterfly. YORK PHOTO SUCKS!!!!"
"BEWARE Poor website and even poorer customer service. I should have anticipated the poor outcome of this story when initially using this hard to navigate and difficult to use site. If you’re thinking about using YORK Photo think twice even if you have a coupon – or, should I say - especially if you have a coupon. They will take NO responsibility for the shoddiness of their layouts and how the web image does NOT sync to the printed image. We purchased 3 photobooks that arrived looking very different from the image displayed on the website. The letters of the title ended up being rolled under the binding of the bottom edge of the book. However, when viewed on the website it looked perfect. After a lengthy 70+ minute conversation with Customer service – talking to three people then finally getting Donna, the supervisor, who will eventually hang up on you if you push the issue without so much as offering to make good on something that was clearly THEIR error. Here is the story – Spent an inordinate amount of time designing the photo book using their website (that is extremely difficult to navigate and use), then waited for a delivery that never arrived. After a call to the first level of Customer service they promised to resend the books by a certain time since these were gifts. The books did NOT arrive on the promised date – so now two events are missed, thanks YORK! Then the 70 minute call to customer service rep Melanie then Marie then Donna yielded NOTHING except an offer of 50% off one book with no extra pages as we had purchased (but there was already an offer on their site for 60% off!!) …so now we are stuck with three books that cannot be used. It takes a lot to irk me let alone write something on Facebook or wherever but this one hit. Needless to say I will NEVER be using this company again. I am sure there will be the defenders who never had a problem and that’s great…just wait until YOU do!"
"Awful! Lost my calender which was a gift. After 21 days after purchase they mailed out a new one, after hanging up on me twice. They never once said they were sorry. Will never order from this company again. "
"York Photo is crap for military families. I placed a fathers day order in May that never got to us. I paid for it again to go directly to my husbands ship (since he is deployed) and after asking for an update yet again they said there was a problem with the order and they would credit my account. This is all being handled a MONTH after the order had originally been placed. So I was patient and gave them another chance and ordered 6 items for my husband for our anniversary, again to be sent to him on his deployment. Out of those, 5 of those items were split up between 3 separate UPS packages and the last one was sent via USPS and they cannot update me a tracking info for the last item. I am seriously disappointed and upset and will not be using them again. We have to have everything mailed to us since we live in Japan and I have never ever had an issue with any other company where as York Photo has failed us multiple times and ruined fathers day and our anniversary!"
"I ordered photos and for some reason it made each photo a quality of 2. I noticed AFTER I submitted the order. I called right after and the lady took my order number and said it would be canceled. Wrong! Not only did it process thru my bank I did not receive an email or any correspondence letting me know that it WAS canceled. So they took my money and was NOT going to let me know. I only found out because I called today again to check on my order assuming since it went thru my bank that it did not get canceled. I spoke with someone knowledgeable and she assured me I would be credited. We will see. No more York Photo for me. "
"where do i start, ok well i ordered my prints to get here next day they got here 2 days later. No offer in reimbursement for shipping. I got my pictures and found out 9 pictures were missing. When i went back to look one by one i realized they messed up the order. They printed out an extra of another kind i had only ordered 2 of, so that left me with 10 missing in total. They sent me a coupon gift card to cover 9 pictures plus next day shipping on them, this just makes me upset that i had to wait this long to not only get a response but then notice they actually had messed up on the order more than i had originally thought. Never again. If that wasn't enough some pictures came out lighter in color and poorer quality then others even though it was the same exact print, it's like 1 out of 3 came out good. "
"WELL I HAD HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, SUPER RUDE AND ANOYED AND LAZY. I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WAS SO STUNNED BY THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM IN THE REPS. COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW PEOPLE LIKE THAT COULD BE HIRE AND STILL WORKING. MY ISSUE IS NOT WITH MY PROBLEM NOT BEING RESOLVED IM OK WITH THAT. BUT I WILL NEVER ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY BECASUE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AND THE WAY THEY TALK TO YOU. HORRIBLE. IF I WOULDVE BEEN TREATED NICELY DIFFERENT STORY."
