"Unbelievable! Just cancelled an order without any explanations. I called the number to find out about it, and the automated system just said it was cancelled, and hung up! Never again!"

"Site shows items as in-stock when they are not. they just cancelled my order without any notice and also without offering any kind of replacement item. I have also sent them many e-mails which none have ever been responded to. Last time i ever place an order with such a lame company."

"this is the 2nd time i deal with this company.
1st time , i buy a sony tv from their MA store, the TV does not funtion after 1 night, they give so many hard when I want return.
2nd I placed a order online , after they charge my credit card and 5 days , they send me a E-mail says ,they caneled my order for no reason, after I called their customer service REP,they says ,they have some mistake in their computer Sys , so the price is wrong and they cancelled my order.

what i should say, stay away from this company,even when you saw some good deal in their AD, but they will cancel it ,don't wast your time with this company go to bestbuy and circuitcity they all never cancel your order.

"I found a Sony 51" KP51WS520 Projection Televion on Tweeter.com for the insanely low price of $848 with free shipping. Of course I placed my order immediately. I was emaild my confirmation and everything. My credit card company even called me to verify the charges as they had seen alot of fraudulant charges at Tweeter.com. Anyhow, about a week goes by with no emails, no calls or anything. I called several times to get an update on the status and they said that it was in stock and would ship soon. After about a week I called and the order had been cancelled because it was out of stock and they did not plan to order any more. After incredibly rude Customer Service people who flat out refused to transfer me to a supervisor, I went looking for "alternate" contacts at Tweeter. I stumbled across a listing of all of their CEO's and figured out their email addresses. I emailed my story to all of them and within 15 minutes had a call from one of their assistants offering me a Toshiba 51H83 for $799 including free shipping. I was more than happy to accept. I was called in about 10 minutes from the guy who was to process the order. I was informed that they had to charge me tne normal $1199 but assured me that $400 would be credited once the item shipped. About 1 week later the Toshiba shipped. However my $400 was not credited. I called my new friend at Tweeter Corporate and he said he'd look into it. Still haven't heard back. Finally today (more than a month after I initially ordered the Sony) the Toshiba arrived via Bekins moving company. Man, was I in for a shock. It was shipped without a box, wrapped in bubble wrap. Scratches all over, packing tape stuck to the screen, cracks in the base, and worst of all, it did not power on. I refused delivery of course. I just called my contact at Tweeter and he is "looking into it". We'll see what happens. I am prepered to take legal action soon. That's my story. Do not purchase from Tweeter.com."

"What a joke this company is! Ordered 2 iPod minis a week ago. They confirmed > 100 units in stock. Ordered them overnight (which, by the way means 3 day delivery because it takes them 1-2 business days to take the item off the shelf and place it in a box) Anyhow 3 days go by. 4 days go by. The unhelpful order people can only tell you that the order has been "allocated." The order had been allocated since I ordered it. Anyhow now I'm trying to cancel it. I've spent the last 3 days talking to tweeter customer service. Apparently there's a HUGE disconnect between the order center and the warehouse because they can't seem to get (multiple) order cancellation messages to the warehouse (how convenient for tweeter). I will NEVER order again from this place, and I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy doing so, either."

"I placed an order for a set of Polk speakers for $175 a pairs. The order went through with a confirmation. Then 5 days later Tweeter asked for $350 instead of $175 and decided not to honor the sale and cancel. This is my first experience with Tweeter online. won't recommend to anyone, do not buy from Tweeter."

"I've never seen a more classic example of bait and switch in my life , not only did they use a pic of a different speaker than the one they were selling but they offered a pair at one price , then switched the price to per speaker , after confirming by email and phone that the said price was for a pair . Answer me this if you ran a company and you were about to put out a sales flyer for your BIGGEST sale day of the year , BLACK FRIDAY , wouldn't you confirm the ad and your web page to be accurate and HONEST !
I've bought a number of items from tWEETER in the past but I fear this will be the last , the fact that they confirmed the price and then denied to sell at that price is too much for this consumer to deal with . I thought it was ILLEGAL to try to dupe consumers in this way just to get them into your store in the hope they will buy something else!!!

"This review is requards to a purchase for 2 pairs of Polk floorstanding speakers for an advertized sale price that was NOT honored .

Once again Tweeter.com has failed to come through with another posted online price , only to have the ordered cancelled at their discretion and anytime they see fit .
This seems to be an ongoing regular process for Tweeter.com , with the same bs explaination of "wrong pricing' , "not in stock" , etc ; along with "sorry but you order was CANCELLED due to" ... (what-ever reason they can think of at the time) . This time the explanation was "sorry this price was listed for a single speaker , not sold a pair ". F
I can say this : The online price was well marked (many times) and this price was also well marked through out the WHOLE ordering process and listed as sold in PAIRS ; as I have all documentaion to prove this .
This is not the first time Tweeter has done this to me with their online ads ; but it will be the LAST .

"Tweeter.com website advertised Phillips WS HD TV. Ordered online, got email asking me to call to confirm. I did so, provided needed information. told me it was in stock and they would be processing it and shipping it in the next few days. A friend of mine also ordered. It was a great price. When Friend confirmed, he was told "Out of Stock". All was fine at that point. He complained via phone. He was offered another 10% off to wait 10 days for it to ship. He confirmed, they sent him a customer sat email to fill out. Two days later, they canceled my order, website tracking said "due to lack of information or missing information". I emailed customer support, received an "Out of Stock" reply. three emails sent, no progress, called customer service. Rude reps, hung up on me. Talked to a super, who told me "Out of Stock".... I told her I didn't believe her, she said she was sorry I did not believe her. I told her she was lying and told her of friend's situation. I was told by the supervisor that her boss did not take phone calls. Ultimately hung up on me. Friend's order still showed "Item located in Stock". Two days later, Tweeter.com canceled his order, same status as mine. Friend called and complained. No resolution. Ultimately, emailed Tweeter HQ twice, no response. Friend emailed Pineville, NC store, who offered him a $100 gift certificate. I emailed the Pineville store too, they did not respond. He lives near them. For the rest of us, they apparently do not care..."

"Ordered an HDTV on 2/15/04. Received a phone call the next day verifying order, account information and cc account number. Received an email on 2/17/04 verifying order with link to check status.

On 2/25/04, I emailed them requesting status and within two hours I received an email that it would be shipped within 48 hours and I would receive tracking information from the shipper.

On 2/27/04, I received an email stating the order was cancelled as it was not in stock even though all this time the website showed the item had been located in the warehouse. The online information stated the order was cancelled due to invalid order information.

I called the customer (ha) service line and was told that the item was no longer available from the manufacturer from where it was being shipped. I asked them what they could offer for my inconvenience, they replied nothing. I told them that tweeter has lost a customer for life.
