As a very in-experienced solderer, i was unsure about installing a PS2

modchip myself.

I had done a couple of PS1 chips many years ago, but always found it a

pain getting a good connection.

I had a PS2 I really wanted chipped, But wanted to do it myself.


But where to start?

I rang a quite few modchip stores, and explained what I wanted to do.
They pretty much all just insisted that I pay them to do it or just buy

one of their pre-modded consoles.

Either way, it would have worked out more expensive than I wanted and I

would have missed out on the challenge of doing it myself.



So I rang TechSick and spoke to their staff.
They were more than happy to help with my modding venture.

They didn't try to deter me from doing it myself.
They were very friendly and helpful and told me exactly what chip they

use and recommend to be reliable based on their experiences (very

reassuring).

They sold me the modchip at a very competitive price.
It was actually about 1/3 the price of some of their competitors.

I was very impressed.


But TechSick's impressiveness didn't stop there.

They told me everything I would need to have to get the job done.
From the sort of wire I needed, to the sort of soldering iron I should

use.
Right down to the type of flux they use themselves (also very

reassuring).

They even went on to explain the best way to do it.
Including;
How best to make good contact with the points,
Best way to route the wiring,
What points to use.
Where to go to get diagram's on how to install the chip.


They even said if I have any problems, to just give them a call, and they

will try to let me know how to fix it.

You just don’t find good service like that these days.



With all this information now at hand,
I started the modding process.


And I can honestly say, without they're helpful advice and great after

sales support.
There is no way I would have been about to do this install by myself.

Some of the points are so small and impossible to get the solder and

wires to stick to without the methods TechSick's staff advised me to use.
I definitely would have been pulling my hair out with them.


But instead,
I did it how they told me, paced myself,
And,
I can now say I have done my very first successful PS2 modchip install.

I'm very impressed with my efforts and the great outcome.

It's getting harder to find companies in this industry that are so

helpful, especially after they have already got your money.

But it's different with TechSick.com

I now recommend them to my friends and anyone else who is looking to have

their console chipped or wanting to chip it themselves. Because I know

they wont come back to me later complaining.

I VERY highly recommend TechSick.com for really great prices and service,
Before AND after sales.

So do yourself a favour,

"This company is fantastic to deal with; great customer service, great service across the board – I recommend Tecksick highly.

For me the test of a company is how they handle it when there is a problem. A small part of my order (cable) arrived damaged. Techsick couldn’t have been nicer or easier to deal with – I emailed, they called back & told me they’d send me another cable. No mucking around, no ‘send the complete unit back and we’ll look at it’ rubbish. Excellent! Also I had just purchased another unrelated item from them – so instead of putting the (tiny) replacement cable in with that (far heavier) parcel, they put them in together and refunded me the freight from my second order. Great from start to finish.

"I'm very happy with TechSick.

I've been shopping around other sites and have been scammed a few times, so my trust was limited. So I decided to give it one more shot.

I chose TechSick. This was my first time buying from these guys. I made an order but forgot to add another item into the cart, so I send a request to have it added after. I received a reply back in just a few minutes stating my items have just been packaged together with the earlier product. That's not all, Adam even kindly went through the hassle of giving me the items for free, and as if that wasn't enough, he included another extra item to use with with my purchase. I couldn't ask for more; I'm happy. I even registered an account to express my positive views on TechSick and its services.

For now, this will be my main supply carrier.

5 Kingston 4 GB Micro SD Card SDHC From Adam. he said he Would bring them over to my Place as he did not live to far away from me.
