Got my Item just fine
"I was getting worried after seeing the bad reviews for this place but I bought a DJI Spark remote controller via Rakuten from 6ave and they shipped it the following morning and I got it 2 days later. Seems pretty legit to me."
"I have disputed the charge for the computer with my credit card company. The seller refuses to send a replacement computer-probably because they did not have one to sell to begin with. I believe that the seller is sending a box through FedEx knowing they will reimburse for the cost of the item if lost. Therefore, the box may either have 2 labels or is collapsible so that it scans for a time and then simply disappears and cannot be traced. Then when the customer complains that the box has not arrived, the seller reimburses the customer and files a claim with FedEx. What a scam. I have alerted FedEx on the activity to assess if I am right and hopefully they will expose this fraud and file charges for theft. In the meantime, I will get my refund on my credit card. I have ordered a similar computer online from a reputable company.Thanks for wasting my time,M Jones"
Got a professional camcorder for an excellent price!
"I was reluctant to purchase from 6th Ave because of all the bad reviews. I first called their phone line and talked with a nice technical sales person who answered all my questions. I ordered a high priced Sony professional camcorder online, I received it in 2 days, brand new, never used, in perfect condition and it works great! Will buy from them again!"
Poor Customer Service
"I am sorry to have to give 6ave a low rating on the basis of my experience with them. It could have been much better with only the smallest improvement of their customer service. I ordered a digital camera. The carrier never delivered it. Problems happen, I get that. But after asking me to deal first with the carrier (and the carrier's telling me after their own research to pursue the claim with 6ave) 6ave vaguely explained it would take "weeks" to figure out. After two weeks of further silence from them, I asked for an update; 6ave never responded. When I then stopped payment on the credit card, "suddenly" 6ave found the package and offered the refund. Thee words: bad customer service. I have no problem with newegg, but will never go back to 6ave."
FRAUD. No Shipping after 3 weeks. Fake tracking. No customer service.
"They run daily deal on ebay and I bought a macbook from these guys on Jun 5th. They updated tracking on Jun 7th. The tracking shows 1lb but they never ship it out after 3 weeks. When they claim "Packages ship within 24 hours from valid payment received." on the page, they mean they give you a tracking number. It doesn't mean it's going to be picked up by Fedex. Customer service always take 2-3 days to reply and with the most useless information. Most of the items they sell is either grey market or used item. There is no manufacturer warranty, so they claim they will give you one year 6 Ave warranty that I am sure is bogus.These people are just fraud. I am glad Amazon runs these shady NY/NJ electronic stores out of business. I am going to file a credit card dispute. It's against FTC rule to not ship within 30 days without buyer's permission."
Sony fe24-70mm 2.8 Lens, $2K
"I purchased a sony mirrorless compatible lens with some hesitation from 6th Ave after reading the reviews on this website. However, I'm happy to report my lens, which cost me over $2K, was delivered just as promised and was exactly as it was described on 6th aves website. I found the lens on ebay and read through 6th aves reviewes there, which were 99% positive. I'm unsure why this website tells a completely different story. Regardless, I wanted to let others know that I had a very positive experience. I even called customer service to confirm my order and they answered and said it was on its way. "
Stay AWAY from these scammers!
"These people advertise one thing and send you another. Don't waste your time and money with these people. The internet is full of good, honest vendors It's only a matter of time before they run out of people to scam. "
Always take forever to receive their response. Of course the item I bought (2-day extra shipping fee) came very late.
"I should have searched and got warning for this seller before making the buying decision.I ordered a macbook from 6Ave through Newegg on June 20th and paid almost $40 for 2-day shipping since I need it for my trip. There was no sign of processing until June 22nd. Item arrived very lately on June 26th. In the meantime, I had to buy another laptop for my trip with big disappointment from 6Ave.On 26th I contacted 6Ave that I wanted to return with a prepaid shipping and a full refund. They did not reply until 28th. I replied instantly (morning June 28th) but they did not response at the end of June 29th. I could be considered as 2 days of working the did not reply. So I file a claim to Newegg. June 30th they replied with a short message saying that all orders takes 24 hours to process. Thank you, and they should have shipped by June 21st.It was their fault and they should provide pre-paid shipping label and process full-refund.I invested time and money to get bad services in return. This seller has been dealing with the issue unprofessionally."

"I ordered a couple Manfrotto tripods from Sixth Avenue Electronics. They conveniently left out the legs and the bags that were supposed to come with them. Now after over a month with phone calls and withstanding many runarounds and time wasted. I have two tripod heads that are sitting on a shelf. Talked to Sixth Avenue Electronics customer service rep who said that it was not their fault but their supplier. She was indifferent on the matter and simply did not care that her company stole from me. If I can influence anyone at all to not shop with these thieves this short paragraph is well worth it. "

"I bought a camera via Newegg which came from 6th Ave Cameras. When the camera came, it was missing several essential accessories. The company is very difficult to contact. They use a message app embedded in a webpage to communicate. They did not respond to my messages about missing items. Very poor to non existent customer service. Bait and switch merchants. "

"My Nikon camera came very fast. I contacted support to ask when my camera would arrive and they were spot on. Simple and fast, how any purchase should be."

Grey Market Scamming at a higher price than most others...
"***WATCH OUT*** This is a SCAM**** When you go to purchase this USED lens, as a U.S. Version (meaning, the lens came to America through official Tamron USA means - aka NOT through Grey Market means), you will actually receive a Grey Market Lens. I purchased this lens, thinking it was a great deal for a "like new" used U.S. Version lens, but it was grey market. Total scam, so disappointing.Also, the customer support knows they are doing this and they TRY to charge you a restocking fee when you return it. DON"T LET THEM!! I purchased through amazon and KNEW they would protect me and they eventually agreed to not charge any fees to return it. "
Don't Do It! Not worth the stress
"Ill try to make my long story short for you. I purchased a camera, $266. Under warranty it broke, I sent it in, They tried to charge me $60 for repair or not give my camera back. I didn't pay that because I had a one year warranty guarantee. After much agony on the phone they decided to mail "my" camera back, which ended up having a different serial number and was broken. I still don't have my camera, they stole it in my opinion. Very rude on the phone, not a professional business. Now I have police involved for stolen property. "

WHEN THE NEXT DAY PAST, I LOOKED IN MY EBAY ACCOUNT AND SAW NO ACTION HAS BEEN MADE. 24 HRS HAS PAST AND STILL NO UPDATE! I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIS GUY TELLS ME THAT THE PRODUCT IS UNAVAILABLE IN STOCK AND THEY ARE WAITING FOR MORE PRODUCT LATER IN THE WEEK. I EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT AS WE SPOKE, IT IS SHOWING THAT THE ITEM IS AVAILABLE ON EBAY. THERE IS NOTHING STATING THAT THE ITEM IS BACKORDERED. I HUNG UP AND BEGAN TO WRITE THEM A LATER VIA EBAY. NOT TWO HOURS LATER, I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT A LABEL WAS MADE AND ITEM WAS SHIPPED OUT. UPDATE.. ITS BEEN TWO DAYS AND ITS STILL SHOWING ON UPS THAT NO ITEM HAS YET BEEN DROPPED OFF TO THEM TO BE SHIPPED. I CALLED THE COMPANY AGAIN, WAS TRANSFERRED TO THERE "MANAGER" WHICH TOOK ABOUT 10MIN ON HOLD. HER RESPONSE WAS CLASSIC.. APPARENTLY, THE CAMERA IS IN STOCK.. HOWEVER, THE PRODUCT THEY GOT IS IN JAPANESE LANGUAGE. HOW A COMPANY OF THAT SIZE CAN MESS UP AN ORDER AND GET JAPANESE LANGUAGE IS BEYOND ME. NEVERTHELESS, WHY NOT LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW THAT SOMETHING WAS SCREWED UP. WHICH HER RESPONSE WAS, "WELL YOU THAT BEFORE YOU MADE THE ORDER, YOU HAD A 3 DAY TO 14 DAY WINDOW" WHICH I RESPONDED BACK, WELL MA'AM WHILE YOU ARE CORRECT, LETS SAY FOR HUMOR SAKE IF THE ITEM "WASN'T" JAPANESE LANGUAGE WHEN WILL MY SHIPMENT BE SENT OUT, SHE SAID IMMEDIATELY.. SO IF THE COMPANY MESSES UP, WE AS A CONSUMER SUFFERS.... AFTER THAT I HUNG UP.I'VE ORDERED FROM PLACES IN CALIFORNIA USING GROUND, IT DIDN'T TAKE MORE THAN 3 DAYS. WHY A COMPANY THAT KEEPS STATING THEY HAVE WAREHOUSE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, WILL SHIP AN ITEM AND IT WILL TAKE PROBABLY 2 WEEKS IS BEYOND ME.
