POOR SERVICE - unresponsive to tracking request
"A 2 ounce part was ordered with a S&H charge of $7.99. Seven days later the part hasn't arrived. Attempts to track the order are responded to with a statement that "Your order has shipped and a tracking number will be posted shortly. We thank you for your order. " is the only response with no further information! My attempt to contact them via phone is met with a recording directing the caller to their website. "

"I searched amazon and eBay, no results, then bought the part from laptop king.com, but never received it. Called phone #, says use contact us...email goes to offshore call center. BS response. Just a few more days, I will initiate VISA charge back. Just goes to show ya...ONLY use amazon and eBay!"
"Don't know if this company is really located in America. Maybe in Sri Lanka or Philippines. Web site says they are in Southern California. I ordered a part from them and it was shipped from Pennslyvania. The part lasted about 40 days. Had a 1 year warranty I emailed for an RMA. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. I read a lot of bad reviews about this company online lately and the BBB has several complaints from unhappy customers. They never answer the phone and will ignore you if you file for a RMA. They change their Email address and website info. Trying to avoid unhappy customers. They have several alias. Laptop Service King, Laptop King, etc.. BEWARE of THEM. Hope you read this before you order. "

"Ordered a "New" heat sink fan for my laptop. It arrived in about a week via USPS. At first blush, it seemed okay, until I removed it from its cellophane packaging. This was not a sealed cello pack, but rather a self-seal cello envelop. The "New" fan housing had considerable dust distributed across it - like the well-used one I was removing from my laptop. But I proceeded to install it. Turned out the wiring block wasn't the same in size or shape to the part I was replacing, AND the holes in wiring block were WAY smaller than required to accept the male connector pins on the motherboard. In short, "close, but no cigar!"At first I used the site's RMA request form, explaining what the problem was. Two days later I got a reply asking what the problem was (the email included my written explanation of the problem in the thread), so I pointed it out AGAIN to the sender, reiterated it, and attached photos comparing the 2 connectors. Now, any fool could tell what the problem was. Then....no reply. I've sent 3 follow up email messages and called their listed phone number. No response. Wish I read these reviews before doing business with these thieves!"
"I ordered a Power button board from LaptopKing, and from the jump something was fishy about this place....I found the part but it was unusually expensive, but since I really needed it and could not find it anywhere else, I ordered it from them. The very same day, I received an email saying that my debit card information and the shipping information did not match up (I was intending to send the part to my fiance's address. I corrected the information and finally the next day i was given information that my order was processed. Two days pass, and I sent an email asking if it was shipped and in a very short response of "No" from some guy named Bob I was very irritated. Two more days pass and finally I get another response from "Bob" stating that it had been shipped and that I would receive a tracking number "soon". 3 days later I receive a tracking number but it is not clear who was shipping so I email with the question as to whom was shipping and here's Bob again with an answer "USPS". So I wait a few more days and finally the part comes in, I attempt to install it only to discover that it is the wrong part. I tried to call several times, but no answer ever. Do yourself a favor, and save your money. Never EVER order from LaptopKing!!!! Ever!"
"Ordered a heatsink & fan, which they claim to have in stock. I received a confirmation of order with an illegible invoice indicating tracking information. When I email them asking them for tracking info, they said that the fan was sent, but they might have to send it again. I believe they did not have part in stock. I canceled the order and requested a refund. Order was canceled by Laptopking, but I still have not received refund. Very poor business practice: seldom respond to email, misleading website info (I.e. In stock items, same day delivery, illegible invoice with tracking implication). After two email attempts requesting the status of my refund to which Laptopking did not respond, I had to submit a claim dispute with my bank. This caused my debit card to be canceled and a ten day wait for a new one. All of this could have been avoided with better communication. "
"I have a missing key on my keyboard. Ordered a new one from them. I received it timely. Before I started to install it, I inspected the keyboard they sent me. The cable was ripped and something had been spilled on the keyboard. I immediately email them for an RMA. I knew it was a used keyboard and I just figured someone got confused. No big deal. But after sending them pictures they accused me of trying to RMA the old keyboard. I took pictures of the keyboard side by side showing the missing keys on one and the torn cable on the other. Now they are ignoring my emails. Now I'm out $51.95. Do not order from these people. "

"i ordered a DC jack for my laptop after matching their advertised part number fitting my device. i received the wrong part and tried to return it for the correct part. they told me i was s.o.l because i should have looked at the "picture" they had of the part to make sure it was the correct one. i've never dealt with a professional company who asked the customer to rely on a pic of a part instead of the advertised part numbers. they listed the part number as the correct part for my device. WTF.sounds like they don't know what they're doing. cartoon company."

"Tried on two separate occasions to make a purchase for an HP Pavilion DV7 drive caddy. Both times I received a message shortly afterward stating that my billing information was incorrect.After the second purchase order was rejected I contacted the bank to get some insight as to why the information was incorrect. The bank representative said that in both cases, the information transmitted from laptopking.com was indeed incorrect. Furthermore, the information they supplied to my financial institution didn't match the information I, myself, had provided. So it would appear that, for whatever reason, they were unwilling or unable to complete the order-using the very same information that I had successfully used once prior.Debit card users will find their payment system rather inconvenient. A hold for the order amount is placed initially. Then, once the order is satisfied, they release the hold and initiate the charge. While not entirely unique to this merchant, it does make ordering difficult because of daily purchase limits that are imposed by most financial institutions.In the end, however, they actually did me a favor as I ended up ordering the part directly from the manufacturer for $20USD cheaper. Additionally, shipping charges were $5USD less than those charged by laptopking.com. $25USD in savings is nothing to scoff at.This would have been my second purchase with laptopking.com, and I should have taken my dissatisfaction with them the first time around as a sign. Rest assured, however, that I'll buy elsewhere from this point forward."

Shipped and arrived quickly enough, but actual inverter in the unit ended up being a different part number.Vendor does not accept any exchanges on unopened product whatsoever, which is a business practice we've never encountered in over 20 years of operation before. The fact that we were treated this way as a returning customer was particularly distressing. "Tough luck" is not how a decent business does customer service.We've actively avoided doing business with this company since -- be aware that they operate under a number of different domain names including LaptopKing.com and ExcelComputerInc.com. This has often meant using a more expensive vendor, but we'd rather do business with a company that actually treats its customers like customers, even if it costs a little more."
