Golfsmith - No wonder they are going out of business
"Many of their in store employees have abysmal attitudes. Justice is served. These have to be the single worst employees (bad attitudes) I have ever encountered in any retail store in my lifetime."

"I will never order from them again. They are disgusting! At least if your going to give someone a used item then at least use new packaging! Have not tried item yet to see if it works. This was a gift for someone! This was not a cheap item! I just took it out of the UPS box to find a beat up golf box! I Am furious. I trusted this golf store and thought ordering online would be fine! I was wrong! You just lost a customer that use to drop a lot of money at your stores! "

" When i started going online to shop for golf gear i checked every possible site for pricing and availability. It always seemed I would end back at Golfsmith, Clubs , shoes, bag recently Tees and balls. I am probably part of the reason Sports Authority is gone. Recently when purchasing items i thought i was shorted a box of balls on my order. it was a buy one get one. I heard back from a customer service rep whose name was Alexis V. she explained that i had made an error in my ordering but she would send me the missing item. I checked and she was correct it was my error. I am in wholesale sales so I appreciated her going the extra yard. I wish my customers would compliment as well as complain,so I am paying it forward, Great Job Alexis V. whoever you are and the rest of your team"
Ruined my vacation
"I placed an order for a set of clubs on August 5, plenty of time to get my new clubs for my golf vacation starting Sept. 2. Or so you would think - first I was told the item was "backordered" and would ship Aug. 24. Then today, Aug. 31, I get notice that they "oversold" the item and that my order was cancelled. They offered to "help" me find a replacement item and said they would give me an additional 10% off, but I declined. Screw me over once and we're done, especially when you kept me on the hook for so long. I will NEVER use Golfsmith again, and will advise anyone I know what an unreliable company they are."
"Ordered a tank putter from their website. Found it the next day cheaper at both Golf Galaxy and Dicks sporting goods. According to the website for Golfsmith these are 2 of the only companies they do offer a price match with. Would not match the price because the description on each website didn't match word for word with Golfsmith although the model numbers were exactly the same. I will never do business with this business again!Horrible customer service and I will be refusing to accept this package so they can pay the shipping to go back!!! "
"Ordered 2 shirts and one was on back-order. Golfsmith honored the sale, shipped the first shirt, then after a few weeks, offered me a discount as the 2nd shirt was not going to be available. Shipping was fast and shirts were great. "
"I purchased Ping G30 cubs from the Timonium, Maryland location. I should have walked away after it took over an hour to be acknowledged. I my purchase exceeded $3,000 and I was told that my cubs were special ordered and delivered to my home address in Pennsylvania. Two weeks later I received an email stating that I would have to drive to the store to pick-up my paid for cubs in person. When I spoke to the store manager Earl, I was told that I was going to be charged an additional $7 dollars per cub to have to cubs delivered to my home. I wouldn't have had a problem paying the additional fees had I not been told about the additional cost during the purchase. Earl was less than helpful and extremely rude. When I asked for a full refund I was told that this could not happen immediately because I paid cash. I could except a refund from corporate within 30-45 days after the refund is approved. Stay away!!!"
"This is obviously not an unbiased site for online reviews. I would suspect that they bad mouth non-merchant member companies in order to bully them into paying for good reviews. I personally had no problems with my Golfsmith online order. Received two sets of Lynx irons for $79.97 each. They shipped to me in 1 week and they did honored their sale price with out any complications. "

"Well total disappointment to say the least. I ordered a set of clubs that were on sale. The clubs were ordered so I went home and decided to search a bit further and found the same club set for 25% less which totaled $249. I called golfsmith the following day and cancelled my order which they did without any issues. But after two weeks of back and forth and various calls and cheap promises nothing has happened. I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company in order to get my money back. I can say that I will never ever buy anything from this store. So beware, check other merchants, they are more expensive and shaddy to say the least. "
"Golfsmith don't honor sale prices, they just email saying your order is cancelled. What was worse is they still posted the other item in my order without consulting me. They cancelled my clubs and posted a bag of tees... My mailbox cost to receive an item is greater than the cost of the tees. They just lost a lot of business from me. That was one of many orders I was making to keep customs costs down."

"I have spent a lot of money with this company, and with my last experience, I'll never shop there again. I purchased a pair of golf shoes "on sale", and was told they would be shipping in a couple of days. The shoes never came and when I called to inquire about them, the guy said, oh well, we're out of that size now. Even though he could see my order, he just didn't give a damn that I was now out a pair of shoes. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again! This is the worst company I've ever dealt with."
