Unprofessional I expected so much more!
"I ordered a hair dryer a month ago and it still hasn't arrived yet. Somehow I also was charged twice for the hair dryer as it showed up in two duplicate charges on my credit card. I haven't been able to contact them because their website has been down, or "under construction" for a week. I would highly advise purchasing your products ELSEWHERE!!"

"I placed an order online on Folica.com March 10 and received an email saying they received my order same day and haven't received anything since. I ordered from them about 5 years ago now with no issues. I My husband tried calling and only gets a busy signal and has sent a few emails with no response. I went on their Facebook page and it looks like the company closed abruptly, according to some of the comments. The website is also down and their phone line is busy (for a week). They took money out of my account for the order on March 12. I personally have attempted to call them, email them, Facebook message them and Tweet to them with NO response. I am currently disputing this with my bank to get my money back. I have screen shots of all the Facebook comments as well as a Tweet from Twitter stating that I need to file a complaint and that they took her money as well."

"I have been shopping on folica since 2010. i bought a sedu flat iron,then a sedu hairdryer,then another flat iron for a friend. My last order was last year and they all were perfect...never an issue.So,last week,i wanted to buy another hair tool and immediately went to folica. I placed the order and it just kept saying order not found. So,i called customer service...busy all week. Posted to their facebook page and they blocked me.Two days ago,they refunded me with no explanation,no reason for why it happened. Never again."
"LITERALLY THE WORST COMPANY TO ORDER ANYTHING FROM, I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN, THEY HAVE TRULY RUINED MY VIEW ON ORDERING ONLINE FROM THEM. I HAVE HAD TWO ORDERS IN THE PAST FROM THEM THAT WENT THROUGH SMOOTHLY. BUT THEY HAVE BEEN A HUGE ISSUE FOR ME DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS. THE AGENTS HERE ARE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL, THEY ACT AS IF THEY DONT WANT TO WORK AT ALL, AND ARE NOT INTERESTED IN HELPING RESOLVE ISSUES. I WAS CALLING TO HAVE MY ORDERED REFUNDED AFTER IT HAD BEEN CANCELLED AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK NOR ANYONE PICKING UP THE PHONE TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS. THE SERVICE IS SO INCONSISTENT, IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF AND THEY HAVE A RECORDING THAT DOES NOTHING BUT MAKES A BUYER ANGRIER TO HEAR THAN THE TIME BEFORE. ONCE AGAIN THEY NEED TO WORK ON A BETTER POLICY FOR RETURNING AND REFUNDS. AND HIRE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO HELP AND BE AT WORK. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THEM NOR MAKE ANOTHER PURCHASE FROM FOLICA. "
"DO NOT ORDER from this company! You can get the SAME products at the SAME price on Amazon and avoid their terrible customer service and return policy. I got a Chi hair dryer as a gift and by the time I received it, it was already past the 30 day return/exchange window. I understand a 30 day limit to receive a refund but only 30 days to exchange is completely ridiculous. I’ve have never seen any other company with a policy like this. Additionally, when I tried to speak with a customer service rep they refused to talk to me because I was not the original purchaser because again, this was a gift. They required that the gift-giver email or call to give permission for them to speak with me. Again, I have never heard of a policy like this. It’s embarrassing, and a waste of time, to ask my friend to get involved. The hair dryer is still in its original box, never opened, never used. They offered me no solution except to call the manufacturer. I will NEVER order anything from this company and encourage everyone to think twice before ordering!"
"Folica has great products and truly abides by their warranty policy. The process to get a replacement flat iron for mine that broke was very quick and efficient, with a nominal replacement fee."
"Don't order from Folica. They do have good prices, but it's not worth the hassle ordering from this place. They let you order items they don't have in stock, charge your credit card, and then email you to advise the item is back ordered and won't ship for 30 days, if at all! This is the second time this has happened to me with this place. I know - I'm an idiot to come back to order from Folica! Finally learned my lesson. I will stick with Amazon."

"BEWARE: WARRANTY NOT HONORED! Folica's customer service has taken a nose-dive!My SEDU 1-1/2" FLAT IRON stopped heating up. I returned it via Priority Mail within the 2-year warranty period to Folica's Return Dept. along with a copy of my original receipt, the Folica return form found on this website, and a check to cover costs--all as instructed by Folica. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT! Within a week the package containing all of the items was returned to me UNOPENED and marked REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER! I called Folica immediately, and the customer service rep falsely claimed they sent my broken flat iron back because "it was a 2007 model," when in fact THEY DID NOT EVEN OPEN MY PACKAGE to discover that the item I returned was purchased less than two years ago in 2011. It's a great iron, but it does not last long at all, and one cannot count on Folica to honor the warranty. I switched to a BAYBYLISS PRO NANO TITANIUM for nearly half the price and a 4-year warranty and love it even more than the Sedu. Folica: You've lost a longtime repeat customer for good. Shame on you."
"I checked the status of an order after 6 days (by the email option on their website), and they replied the next day that it had been cancelled due to "inability to verify address". On checking the order confirmation email, there was indeed an error of one digit in the street number. But the fact that they did not send me an inquiry, and in fact said nothing until I inquired, is clearly not acceptable. I do not consider that to meet the bar of minimum customer service (never mind outstanding). "
"I ordered a Pink chi air flat iron from folica about a month ago. The shipping was really fast and the price was right. When i unboxed it, i wasnt happy with the cosmetic condition of the iron. There were a couple of chips in the ceramic plates and there was a thick blob of yellow paint (small amount) on the handle of the iron. It looked sloppy and cheap. With that being said i questioned its authenticity. I also noticed that this iron did not come with a breaker box plug. It was a 2 pronged plug that u would find on a lamp. I phoned folica to ask about the plug, and they told me they "changed" the plug to a regular plug because the breaker box was "no longer necissary". So i phoned Farouk systems afterwards and was told its possible they changed the plug since the CHI AIR is a CHI HOME product not a CHI product. I was asked for the serial # on the iron and it turns out to be a real chi. However, i was told to return it anyways because if i ever had a problem with iron, my warranty would be VOID. This is because Folica is not an authorized retailer for CHI HOME or CHI products. Even though they say that they are. I returned the iron and the cost of return shipping was at MY expense!! They gave me a PARTIAL refund for the item less shipping and handling charges and it took 2 and a half weeks to process my return. This has been the worst online shopping experience ever and i wish i would have read the reviews before purchasing anything for this site. Its a complete rip off."
"I ordered a pink Sedu Revolution from them back in September (it is now November) and I got the standard free shipping. My first order was held b/c there was an error with my billing address. However, that was my banks fault. I cancelled that one and placed it again and it came within a few days. The order promised a gift with purchase and I thought it was the travel heat pouch. What prompted me to write this review is that I came home (to another state) for the holidays and found that there was an additional gift with purchase which was W magazine. I got pretty excited about that. Although, they did send it to the wrong address I easily had that changed. One more thing I should mention is that they had a recycle program where I was able to get a $40 off coupon for my order by sending in my old flat iron (which was really cheap and cost less than $20)."
