"Discount Electronics has the best customer service people I have ever worked with. I bought a laptop from DE and I screwed it up because of my lack of knowledge. I called DE, they sent me a UPS return label, fixed the things I screwed up and returned it to me. I quickly admit I only know on and off when it comes to computers, but the professionalism displayed by DE is amazing. I can highly recommend them to anyone that wants to purchase a computer for an unbelievably low price but be able to work with a customer service department the is the best in the industry. Honestly their customer service is heads above any other customer service department in any industry. "

"I bought 2 Dell 15" Ultrasharp monitors for $35 each-- they shipped well packed (no damage on arrival); when we noticed only 1 set of cords I called D/E and they immediately shipped the other power & VGA cords. The 2nd set arrived within 2 days. The agent who took my call was friendly and professional. Based on some prior negative feedback, I suspect they took that info to heart and made a change. I have been recommending them to friends and family-- my experience with D/E was SPECTACULAR!!! "
Bought 2 laptops on 2 diffferent occasions and disappointed twice.
" My first lap top took almost 2 weeks to arrive. There was a mix up in delivery address not matching the billing address. That was corrected but they had cancelled the order and I had to re-order. Back and forth but finally received the computer. My second lap top shipped right away but arrived with two dents in the top on the computer and it would not charge up. The shipping department must have an ape packing the boxes. The computer had zero packing material inside the box and it rattled around during shipping and got damaged. There was about an inch of bubble wrap around the computer but nothing to hold it in a secured protected position. I complained so they had me return it. The replacement came back rattling around in the box but there appears to be no damage. It just does not make sense how they package shipments."
"Website indicated that my item was in stock so I ordered it using 3 day priority delivery. After several days - nothing. I contacted them and they said it was back-ordered and would ship in a few days. Nothing! It has been more than a week now - nothing. Getting ready to cancel the order. Avoid this merchant!!!!"

"I am very disappointed the way Discount Electronics conducts business In a very deceiving manner.I bought a computer cord for fourty eight dollars my computer still didn't work,I took it back and they told me they could not refund my money I am a 71 year old man I cant see very well,They told me that was company policy.Christmas Eve day and they cant make an exception for a Senior Citzen,Bad Business If U ask me.The salesman never told me that the item was refurbished n that there was no refunds.I would never buy anything from Discount Electronics Buyer be Ware."
"LOGAN AT 2206 NW LOOP 410 SAN ANTONIO TX 78230 WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ME 0N 9/13. HE SPENT OVER 2 HOURS WORKING ON MY LAPTOP. WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHY. "Wouldn't accept a defective part - parts have not been refurbished I ordered a refurbished power supply for a Dell computer that failed immediately ouf ot the box. The power supply would boot the computer but click off after a few minutes or a couple of hours. It was clearly unreliable and defective. I returned it with a clear explanation attached to the unit of the problem. I even stated that it will appear to work since the power light remains on. I confirmed for myself that it was the power supply by replacing it one that I knew worked and the machine ran fine. When I returned the unit, Discount Electronics said they tested the unit and found it to be in good working order (like I would take the time to return a functioning unit). They charged me for the return and refunded about 50% of my cost. I would also like to point out that the unit they sent was NOT refurbished as claimed. It was dirty on arrival with dust on the exterior and fan blades full of dust. The unit had not been touched - let alone refurbished - since it was pulled from its last computer. Based on this experience, I would NOT recommend Discount Electronics."

"Today's visit to the Discount Electronics store in South Austin was my first but will not be my last. Shelby provided excellent service as well as being very knowledgeable. The store is well-organized with a pleasant atmosphere. I have mentally added the wireless printer he showed me to a Wish List for my next visit. Great price and just what we need here at home. "We got a power supply from Discount Electronics on their website and it was backed by the BBB, so we thought nothing of the fact that all you could get was a store credit for a return--backed by the BBB! I've delt with website sellers for years and never ran into a store credit policy ever! We had a problem with our computer and "Dell" told us it was the power supply--they were wrong! It ended up being the mother board which Discount Electronics wanted over a hundred dollars for--they say the board is reconditioned--which is just a fancy way of saying it is dusted off and tested to work(no one repairs printed circut boards)--I found one on ebay for $40 including shipping--problem fixed! But after telling Discount Electronics that "Dell" made a mistake they would not give us our money back, I'm disabled and have a newborn and on a limited income, I let them know this but I still had to eat $38 plus $12 shipping. The best part is that you have 90 days to spend the store credit minus 15% restocking fee or you lose it--go fig?! There are so many sites on the net that are respcectable and look out for the customer--this is not one of them. Store credit was astablished to protect sellers from theives--I have a valid receipt--Discount Electronics is the only thief I see here."
"Do not shop at DiscountElectronics.com. I used a prepaid debit card to purchase a keyboard from them. 2 weeks later the card was fraudulently used in a transaction at a Matteson, IL Toys R Us to clean out the balance on the card.This was the only purchase the card was ever used for, so Discount Electronics is the only entity besides myself to have the card number.Do not shop there; they are either stealing cards or have been hacked."
"I ordered a desktop replacement DVD. It is here;http://www.discountelectronics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=5212&gdftrk=gdfV21935_a_7c309_a_7c1015_a_7c5212What I got was a some sort of skinny, internal laptop hard drive that doesn't resemble, in any way, what I ordered.I ordered expedited shipping instead of the bare minimum to try and get it here before Christmas. I called them up and now I have to jump through a bunch of fiery hoops to get what I ordered. The guy on the phone IMMEDIATELY knew the process though so obviously this happens a lot. The process was also long and complicated and the guy on the phone had an attitude. I have to wait on them to send me paperwork, fill out the paperwork, get a shipping label, ship it back, wait for them to get it and then ship it back to me. I'm guessing I'm out the amount I paid for expedited shipping. It already took too long to get it. I'm guessing I should have it in February. First and last time I will ever order from this place. All the other RAVE (sarcasm) review and mine should hopefully warn others to steer away from this house of rude incompetence."
