Wants to charge you to return something?
"Well it's more then that. My mother died! We found 2 packages unopened at her house. Do we know when she ordered the items, No. Do we even know what is in the boxes, No. Do we need whatever is in the box NO. I thought we could just return them and call it a day. NO, Can is speak to a supervisor, NO. But you can pay to return the items if you like. My reply NO! After asking 5 times to speak to a supervisor I was told let me see... on hold then he came back Sorry they are busy. (I wonder why maybe the products are bad?)Also I wanted to speak to a Supervisor since I have NO idea what this company sells but I wanted to know what I need to do to make sure her account if any was closed. If she subscribed to anything with this company that it was stopped and cancelled. I can see why they would not want to be helpful in this matter everyone wants a dollar. They will not get it from my dead mother!!! or my family!!!Get a customer service person the can hear what people say when you call. I'm call because my MOHTER IS DEAD!!!!!!!! The response should not be what is your phone number. When asked to speak to a supervisor just get one. If you are to cheap to have supervisors for your customers to talk to then train your agent to deal with EVERYTHING!!! not just take simple orders"
"I received a catalog that I didn't order (and am curious how they got my info). What kind of creeps send a catalog that appears to be geared toward elderly people but has **** items in the middle of the ads? If anyone else has had this problem, I'd recommend getting a form ps1500 from your local post office. You will have legal recourse if these morons send more of their tacky junk mail after 30 days and it also gives the option of blocking all sexually explicit or inappropriate mailings in the future (from all companies) if you have children under 19 (which I do). "
Bad customer service now.
"I shopped with them years ago but now you get the Phillipines and they do not send a confirm order number by email anymore. The Rep. lied to me today when I called. Never sent the email. I hope I receive my order. You wait 20 min.or longer on the phone and on chat on the site. I am done with them. Just like Fingerhut who is now in India."
Confusing and deceiving advertising and being lied to when placing order.
"I ordered over the phone what was advertised as "Classic Cotton Combo as low as $12.99". However, when I called, I was talking to someone who I believe was in India. Prior to this, when I ordered, I would speak to an employee who knew the products, could answer questions, and could give insight into what I was ordering. I asked at least twice, "Am I ordering three complete sets (combos) in white, turquoise, and coral? The answer was that indeed I was and would be getting the complete order in 7 - 10 business days. Today when the order arrived, I received only the capris, sans tops. I am returning the capris pants and will not be calling them again. The helpful service when you place an order and need questions answered honestly is no longer available."
"I am super dissatisfied with the, I bought 3 items. They came 3 different days. I am sure the combined shipping went out the window. I bought 2 men's belts. They were mis-sized..too small. And 2 shirts. Same thing..too small. And I bought a dress 2 sizes too big and it fit. They are also slow to ship and dont keep any tracking information on their site. They charge postage and then add another 2 buck for priority I just dont trust them any more. My mom shopped there for 30 years.FORGET IT. "
"They sent a catalog to my door that had kids toys and plush toys on the cover. My 7 year old daughter was going through the catalog and says "Daddy I don;t understand this page"...it was 2 pages of Dildos and vibrators and erection rings! This scumbag company somehow thinks these are compatible items in the same catalog???!!! I don't have an issue with adult toys but they should be their own sealed catalog or something .....not sent to a family. This is an overall display of horrible judgement by a company that does not deserve my business or the business of any person trying to raise a family. The world is crazy enough without having to scan what is in my mailbox for porn!"
"Placed an order on the 8th of June for the first time on this site. Found a coupon I could use. The order form and confirmation email had the discount from the order applied. Carol Wright Gifts charged my card without the discount. When I called about it I am told its only for member. I asked for a supervisor who wouldn't even take the call instead sent a message through a young girl who became very flippant upon talking with her supervisor. So the coupon wasn't honored. I ask e d so why your website and the order aren't the same? No one knows. How do you know if the coupon is accepted? You don't until you are charged. I will never shop with them again. Irritated"
"placed an order on feb. 17, they said it would ship on feb. 20. On feb 20 i got an email saying it would ship on feb. 27. On feb 25 got an email saying it would ship in 4 to 6 weeks from date of purchase. On feb 26 they put the money for my order back on my credit card. : ("

"I received a catalogue without requesting one and on pages 16/17 and 40/41 there were ads for sex toys, in there with the old lady muu muus and ruffled bedspreads and glow in the dark garden fairies. I have kids in my house and I am disgusted that these things were sneakily inserted in a catalogue that used to be just gadgets and home goods. This is sleazy advertising! "
"Order was slower to ship than other companies I deal with. Went to pay online - system would not let me get past page where I entered information - tried to send a email through their options to contact - their system would not submit this either - so overall - company rates a negative 10 stars"
"I ordered 2 small items almost a month ago and still have not received them. I did look online and found where they were finally shipped. Close to 2 weeks later I still haven't seen the items. I do realize it says allow up to 2 weeks from the ship date, but my goodness.... that's kind of a ridiculous time frame with most companies now having things to you within just a couple of days. It doesn't make any sense the amount of time it even takes for them to get the items out the door much less to your home."
"This is the worst company ever! I ordered an item and decided when I got it that I didn't like it and it was not as described on the website. So the very next day I returned it using the return kit they "THEY" supplied. Two weeks later they say they havn't received and to check with my local post office. Wow! What a rip off! These people are nothing but a bunch of scammers lookin to take advantage of people and their money! of course, I did the shop now pay later deal so they will probably turn me into collections for non payment. I say go for it! I took three pictures of the return package before I mailed it and in combination with thir glowing reviews **sarcam**, and a letter to the credit reporting agencies, I'm pretty sure I can get it wiped out. "Today I received a credit card statement with an unexplained charge for something called freeshipping.com -- when I inquired about the charge I found that they claimed I had signed up for their "service" while making a purchase from Carol Wright Gifts seven months ago and that the free trial period had expired and now I was being charged for their service. Looking further, I quickly found that freeshipping.com is a well-known scam that rips off unsuspecting people. I contacted Carol Wright Gifts asking why they had given my personal information and credit card details to this scam company and I received an immediate form letter reply admitting that freeshipping.com is a "partner" of Carol Wright Gifts but denying having given them any information and claiming that _I_ must have given this company all the information. Carol Wright Gifts also claimed that freeshipping.com sends out a welcome email to every new customer who signs up (I never got any such email). From the form letter reply it is clear that Carol Wright Gifts receives many complaints about this scam and knows the company is cheating their customers. Since Carol Wright Gifts chooses to "partner" with this scam, I have to put them in the same class of internet slime companies."
