"The manufacturer took a long time to ship my order. When it finally arrived, one of the items was broken. I called Arcadian Lighting and the customer service representative was extremely courteous and helpful. She had me on hold while she contacted the manufacturer to fix the problem. She followed up with e-mails and a phone call. I've purchased from Arcadian Lighting in the past and this is the first time I've had to call customer service. I'm very impressed with their outstanding service and will continue to shop with this company for all my future lighting needs."
"I purchased some Nora lighting on the Arcadian Lighting web site. Although I could not enter a Canadian billing address, I was able to enter my credit card information. The next day they phoned me - apparently for "international" customers (not that I consider Canada to be international), there is a separate new credit card procedure. They had indicated they needed to send me a paper authorization form which I would need to sign, and fax back with a photocopy of my credit card. I waited for several automated emails from their system which never arrived, then the email was sent manually after contacting them again. I faxed in the information as requested and the order was processed. This took an additional two days which I did not expect. I have purchased from many US web sites and never had this kind of additional hassle. Despite the hassle, I still appreciate being able to purchase the desired product at a cheaper price than I could have purchased in a Canadian store.Update Dec 1/10. Thank you for the response. I check my spam/junk folder regularly and no emails went there. In fact, I provided several email addresses and neither email address received any emails. As I mentioned, I purchase from US web sites ALL the time, and NO other web site has the same complex manual credit card verification processes that you do."
"Arcadian Lighting has a wide selection of quality lighting fixtures. That's why I first shopped there. I had been looking in regular stores for years and couldn't find fixtures I liked. A few hours on their website and I found exactly what I'd been seeking. (The enlarge function makes it easy to view products in detail.) Their customer service staff are helpful and friendly and the product, when it arrives, looks as good as it did on their website. Delivery time is reasonable and super simple to track. The order arrived in a reasonable amount of time. But, the fixtures were NOT as advertised on the Arcadian Lighting website. Their product description says, "Grounded convenience outlet and on/off switch is included..."Well, neither the outlets nor the on/off switches were included. I went through the process to register for Arcadian's support desk, reported the problem, and asked for them to mail the missing outlets and switches to me. Nothing. No response of any kind.In addition, the Sea Gull lights were so loud as to be totally unusable. I could hear them buzzing merrily away all the way across the room. I had to throw them out and replace them with GE fluorescent fixtures from Home Depot. Then I had to find outlets from another online source to insert into the GE fixtures.All told, a terrible shopping experience. I would not recommend Arcadian to anyone."

They are prompt and ship immediately and seem to have a good in stock inventory so there is no wait. Their products are good quality and packaged well so they are not damaged. "Although I was told that the jumper cable I ordered would be back ordered, it shipped anyway. This is not a problem.The problem is that the leader cables that I was told came with the fixtures, did not ship at all (I need three). Also, even though my order did not include a "end to end" coupler, one was shipped anyway. In summary, I got stuff I did not order; stuff that was supposed to take longer, did not; and critical parts that are needed were not shipped at all.Not a good experience.And one more thing, it's been a week since I spoke with Andrea, who was supposedly looking into these problems.Andrea finally did respond and after much dialog it seems as if the real villain is Philips that is not doing an acceptable job in marketing their LED lighting systems. Arcadian's website does not improve the situation, in fact in some was it adds to the confusion factor.The lesson learned here is to rely on trained professionals. I would have been better off had I simply called an electrician to purchase and install these under counter LED fixtures. 5/28/2010I stand by my original review. Some mistakes were made by myself, however if Arcadian wants to market to the general public, they have a lot of work to do. Additionally, none of the emails were lost to some spam filter, so that part is just not true. And finally, the undisputed truth of the matter is that I ordered something, and got most of but I also got something I did not order at all."
