"Sent my favorite glasses for new lenses to this company. Received a box with a tiny screwdriver, a lens cleaning cloth, a receipt and a postcard but NO GLASSES. They said someone in the postal system must have tampered with the package and taken my glasses because there was no way they could have mistakenly forgotten to include my glasses in the box. "That just doesn't happen." they kept saying. Well, it happened. They would not even give me my money back. They said that if I'd ordered new glasses, they'd send some new ones to me, but since I didn't do that, I'm just stuck. Essentially, I paid $234 for a tiny screwdriver and lens cleaning cloth."

I asked if they could put a rush on the order to make up for this and they told me they can only upgrade my shipping. I guess when they mess up your glasses a few times that there is no need to give that order priority. Horrible service"

"I have an odd prescription where one eye is near sighted and one far sighted. I correctly entered this in the order but the lab decided to I must be wrong and sent me both near sighted. They gave me an RMA but seem to be in no hurry to get me replacement lenses. I have to return the ones they sent me, they will examine them and then get the lab to make the correct ones. Given that it took a week for my first order to come through, I assume this will be two weeks. Not impressed with customer service when I called into explain all this and ask what they can do -- they really can't do anything. I went the route of just starting a new order but they won't give me the discounts I had on the first order."

IF you use the try on page the glasses look nothing like what you are getting...and they didn't return all my money for the misleading try on pic.I have bought better quality at the dollar store. Destroyed frames, sent cheap uneven replacements, no refund
"I sent in frames I purchased abroad to be re-lensed. 3 weeks after sending them in, I received an email saying they destroyed my frames. The company refused to pay for these hard to find frames and instead send me replacement ones. The replacements arrived and wouldn't sit evenly on my face because they were clearly very cheap and unevenly molded. Needless to say I sent them back. Now the company has the audacity to not reimburse me for the original frames they destroyed. Their products are cheap and inferior and their customer service is horrible. I recommend you run far away from 39 dollar glasses."
Dreadful quality control and service
"I ordered four pairs of glasses. All were wrong, and I mean miles out. Had them checked and none of them were anywhere near the prescription provided.They offered to remake them but after that performance I wanted a refund. In order to do this I had to send the glasses back to them. That's fair enough but, as I live in the UK, not cheap. They received the glasses, and acknowledged they were not as per prescription. However, they would not refund either the postage costs for initial delivery, or for return of the glasses.Long discussion with them on this but they just don't get why I feel they should refund these costs. It's simple as far as I'm concerned - their lack of care meant the glasses were not fit for purpose. I therefore feel it's unreasonable that I should pay for the privilege of receiving what amounts to a load of useless plastic, and for returning it.They disagree. It's not their policy, and they have "accommodated" (their word) me by refunding the purchase price. Unbelievably bad take on customer service in my view.I've used this company for years, generally buying three pairs of glasses every couple of years. They won't go out of business because I won't use them again, but I'm clearly not the only one disillusioned with them. Quality control is evidently not a priority, and they are contemptuous of their customers. Materials used have also noticeably declined in quality over the past few years in my view, many frames being very flimsy. Their model was a good one but I'm not buying it anymore. Glasses that don't work, and a service ethic that is indifferent to customers, don't add up to a bargain."

When I received then I realized I had somehow typed in my script incorrectly. They sent me a return postage label, and fixed the issue without question or hassle and didn't charge anything to fix it. I love my new glasses and without vision insurance this company makes it affordable to get what I need. Thank you 39dollarglasses. "
