"I have conclusive proof that Margaret DeLotto of Vida-gold is fraudulently misrepresenting her gold items.

Margaret grossly misrepresents the amount of gold in all her items for sale. The seller states (on ebid.net and ioffer.com) that all items are heavy gold-filled to 50 mils (0.050 inch). I had purchased a 14K gold chain from Margaret DeLotto on iOffer.com; invoice #72824846. The density of this 14K gold chain is 8.7 grams per cubic centimetre. The density of brass is 8.4 grams per cubic centimetre.

density = weight/volume
chain weight = 95.8 grams
chain volume = 11 cubic centimetres
chain density = 8.7 grams per cubic centimetre

density of solid 14K gold = 6.885 troy ounces per cubic inch
density of solid 14K gold = 13.07 grams per cubic centimetre

If the chain were 14K gold-filled to 50 mils, the density of this chain should be 9.6 grams per cubic centimetre. Mathematical calculations are available.

There is a flaw in this chain that shows a bare spot. I can easily see that the thickness of the 14K gold-fill is not 50 mils; but approximately 1 mil.
