"I bought a 250 gallon onion-tank from Tank-Depot to hold grey water for my house. An onion tank is a collapsible tank made of a rubberized canvas or similar (I'm not sure of the exact manf. process). I needed the collapsible functionality so I could get it though a tight opening in my house's crawl space. I had called before hand and they advised that it could hold grey water and be used for the intended purpose. I got the tank, built a level platform/bed for it and installed all the pipes etc to dump the grey water from my house into this tank. Just one problem: the tank doesn't hold water. It leaked immediately from the seam creating a huge mess. I called and the company indicated it was most likely a manufacturing defect. They offered to fix it for free but I have to pay for the return shipping. It's a rather large cumbersome item and shipping will not be cheap. I am not agreeing with this because: 1) they obviously don't test their tanks and 2) I feel I am paying a price premium so they can cut corners in their manufacturing process. In the end, I'll end up paying more money than a competitive product and I'll still have a defective tank. I tried to play nice but they have not budged on their demand that I pay return shipping. I have brought it to the attention of my credit card company. Beware."
