"I've spend a bejillion $$ with Summit over the years. Last week purchased 2 items I wanted right away and paid the upgrade delivery "fee"....net result, 5 days to ship to OR from their NV warehouse.
I also recently had dialog with Summit's tech people about a Comp Vacuum Booster that won't start unless tapped with a hammer handle. Their solution: tear it apart and clean it with contact cleaner. Comp's tech
people weren't much better although I could reach them by phone. At Summit, after days of busy signals I sent my query by email - received a response 3 days after that. Good thing .... if I had received that response during a telephone conversation, I'd have told the guy to remove his head and spray it with contact cleaner,
laughed at his suggestion and hung up."
"Ordered wheels and tpms sensors. Sensors showed up right away but wheels never came. Customer service on phone was down right rude, and people wouldn't even give their names. It's a culture of zero accountability because service is so bad). Sent an email and got a response 5 days later that the wheels had not shipped ... totally unhelpful. After 3 weeks I cancelled the order. No refund issued so I disputed with Paypal. Summit Racing then lied to Paypal using tracking from the TPMS sensors claiming that the wheels were shipped.
Total scammers. Avoid."

"Ordered 2 ac delco fuel injectors as their site stated they had in stock. 1 fuel injector arrived first and showed signs of having been previously opened and tampered around with. When I called and complained customer service a replacement was a month away at least so I cancelled order. So trying to unload a previously returned part on me just **** me off and don't trust them anymore."

"Was about to drop 300 on PLASTIC louvers for my 84 z28 Camaro. They bragged free shipping, then wanted to charge me 60 for "prossesing" over sized package. A 15 lb plastic item. I'll never order jack from these people again.

"I ordered a throttle body spacer for a 2004 gmc envoy and the part was wrong they said right box wrong part stupid me I believed them so I called the tech support and they said same thing so they sent me another on the same damn part. "Ordered a 350 chev crate motor. 1st one came in a wooden crate that was perfect but the top of engine inside had a crushed valve cover. Sent it back and received one with the wrong fuel pump rod installed. It disintegrated inside the engine. I had to be towed to the repair shop. They saved the engine by flushing it with oil multiple times. Replaced the internal fuel pump with an electric one. Now it runs but has no power. Can't believe the poor quality from a company in business so long. A lot of money spent for nothing."
"I ordered a pair of replacement upper door trims for my 87 Vette on 1/23/19. I was told prior to my purchase that the product wouldn’t ship until 2/8/19. Well 2/8/19 came and went with NO COMMUNICATION or notification from Summit. I had to call them on 2/14/19 just to find out that the product I ordered is on back order until the second week in March. Unacceptable customer service. I’m currently awaiting a full refund and I don’t plan on ever ordering from Summit again."
"I ordered and received a steering gear box. I then tried to find online how and where to return the core. The customer service person kept referring to the paperwork inside the box. I kept mentioning there wasn't any except recommendations for installation. I finally get led through what was the most confusing and poorly coordinated core return procedure ever offered. AT NO POINT did the instructions or links say or state anything about core returns! It was then when I had the information I went about removing the old gear box and installing the one sent to me from Summit. I discovered and later verified with the remanufacturer that they had used the wrong input shafts and it would not, in any fashion, fit the application. I have fought with Summit for three weeks to return the item. It has now gone from Denver to Indiana to Nevada over the last two plus weeks with no delivery yet. Summit uses a disastrous return service and will only accept returns through them. This dog will not get the chance to bite twice!"
