Poor, infexible return policy

"One must read the entire return policy before purchasing. Even though I bought a pair of shoes in my size, the design was too narrow at the toe. Well, too bad. No refund on this because, at the very end of the return policy, it says anything on sale cannot be refunded. I didn't bother to look when finding the shoes I wanted, I never ran into that rigid of return policy, ever. I found another pair a size up for a better price somewhere else and bought those. But moreover, I didn't follow Shop601 return policy: I sent the undamaged shoes back in original box with copy of invoice and was denied a refund because I violated return policy by not going online and filling out a return approval form before returning the shoes. They offered an exchange, but only if I purchase another pair, then will they refund the first order. I don't want an exchange. I found a size up cheaper somewhere else. End result is they're shipping the shoes back to me, keeping my $108. I guess I'll sell them on eBay. This is the impression they wantto leave on people? When shopping for clothes/shoes online, where we don't have the luxury of trying them on first, customer-friendly returns should be a no-brainer. Their return policy needs a major over-haul if they want to thrive. I'm never shopping there again."
