I said that would work sent the difference in price and still no rug! I called said he would check with warehouse and call me back. Now he won't answer the phone or my email. "I found this review site after I purchased our rug. My experience with Rugsville is that they’re not frauds. They’re a legitimate company. We ordered our rug, and they didn’t charge us until the rug shipped. They weren’t great with initiating communication regarding status of shipping. But, as they hadn’t charged us yet, we weren’t concerned. It took about 2 weeks to ship. I had to ask for shipper info and tracking number. It arrived a day before they said it would. Now to the rug itself. The design of the rug is amazing. Classic art nouveau/ arts and crafts. I’ve been looking for a rug like this for years, and found similar styles starting at $3000.00, so to me, this was a great find. However..... the listing for the rug just says “ hand made wool”. It is wool, but it’s hand “tufted”, not hand knotted. I didn’t even know what that meant before receiving this rug. It means that the back of the rug is completely coated in latex, and the wool fibers are pushed through the latex , which holds the pattern in place and holds the rug together. We unrolled the rug, and within 3-4 hours, the whole house was filled with the over whelming chemical smell of latex. I thought what we were smelling was mold, and I was surprised to read here that someone else had the same problem. I had a serious reaction to the latex fumes. I had a headache, my eyes were swollen and burning and my throat burned. I emailed Rugsville, and they got back to me pretty fast. They told me I’d have to “air the rug out for 5-7 days”. At this point, what were our options? We’re not going to pay to have this huge rug returned (how do you even ship a rug this size)? So, for 7 days my husband and I had to move this heavy, bulky 9 x12’ rug in and out of the house, and hang it over our deck railing. It did work, the fumes are gone. I have to be honest, I love this rug. It’s gorgeous, and it was very reasonably priced. "
"This company is a fraud. Please be very careful while dealing with them. I bought a Rug from their website and had my credit card charged the same day but never received any confirmation about this from Rugsville. Over the course of week, I sent them multiple emails and spoke with them on phone. None of my emails were responded to and each time I would speak with someone, they would tell me someone would reach out to me in 24 hours but no one ever would.
I have opened a dispute with Paypal about this and still following up with them to get my money back."
"I purchased a rug from Rugsville using pay pal as the payment method. My account was debited but I never got any confirmation from rugsville and the payment info from Paypal stated the debit went to Rugstan. I tried to contact both of these people and seemingly got disconnected 3 times or they hung up he phone? I tried writing to them via e-mail to both Rugville and Rugstan and got absolutely no response from them. I think this whole company consists of one or two people and they have no ability to deal with unexpected issues. I must say the price for the rug was very good but as most people say if it sounds to good to be true it is probably isn't. I would buy from a known reputable source in the future. This is an amateur operation in my view, with very bad customer support and follow up capabilities."
