"I just want to point out that the company itself says: "Products are designed , assembled
& Quality Controlled in USA". My only gripe with them is that they ship out of near the Richmond, California port and I wish I could pick up locally, as I'm just down the highway. Otherwise, their batteries have lasted as long or longer with good service as any other brand. The deals are always good.

"This is a product review for a D-size battery purchased from www.batteryspace.com. Product URL's is: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=709

I never paid attention to the importance of batteries until my baby girl was born. One of the first things I had to buy was a baby monitor and then we started receiving gifts from friends and family like a bouncer and all sort of toys. Do you know what all these things have in common? They run on batteries.
After spending about fifty dollars in the first month with disposables I started wondering if I shouldn’t switch to rechargeable batteries. The initial investment can seem a little high because one rechargeable battery is more expensive than an alkaline plus you also need a charger, but it all pays for itself after about a couple of months. Of course, if all you need batteries for is the TV remote control or for a flashlight when you go hiking for the weekend then one-time batteries should do fine. Otherwise you need to think better.
Also, I had only heard of top brand companies like Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac, or Varta. Well, it turns out that if you need a D-size battery it’s not easy to get what you want even if you buy a brand product. To compare the same type of batteries you need to know how much energy it’s stored in them. That’s determined by their capacity measured in mAh – the higher the better. Also, the higher the energy, the heavier the battery is. Thinks are pretty clear for AA or AAA batteries. AA’s are nowadays at around 2700 mAh and AA at around 1000 mAh. So one would obviously think that larger batteries like C and D would come with more storage. I bought some Rayovacs D cells from Amazon and they seemed like a pretty good deal. When I received the package I was a little surprised, actually disappointed. The batteries were not cheap, and were very light. After I took a better look their capacity was 2900 mAh, they were actually an AA battery in a D shell. I took at closer look at other brands, Duracell doesn’t have rechargeable D cells and Energizer’s version is only 2500 mAh. It turns out that having an AA battery in a bigger cell is not so uncommon. Some sell them like this, for instance the famous LA CROSSE BC-900 Battery Charger comes with special adapters from AA to C and D to make it work. This is not a good choice because if you have an electronic item such as a toy that requires D-size batteries and you put an AA in it, if would die after two or three days. Well, at least that’s what happened to mines. Obviously I needed something else, so when I did some more research on the web I discovered that specialized battery stores and they sell pretty cool stuff.
So this is how I discovered Powerizer. All brands manufacture their batteries in plants located in Asian countries, so Powerizer is a brand that is sold by the same manufacturers, so it should just as good. I was also surprised to see that their battery has 10000 mAh capacity and it’s also cheap. I order six batteries right away eager to test them. Shipping was after two days and by the end of the week I had the package delivered. Everything came in good condition and I started using the batteries. Well, they last, they last, they last long, and they are definitely worth the money.

"This is a review of my purchasing experience with BatterySpace.Com with the following product:
(24 pack) AA 2300mAh high capacity NiMH Powerizer rechargeable batteries with 6 free battery holders

I recently ordered this product from BatterySpace.Com with a nice deal. The price was low only $29.95 at that time (I believe it is even cheaper now) for 24-count 2300mAh Powerizer batteries with 6 free holders. And there is a 5% coupon which cut the price to $28.45. With the free shipping promotion (by 12/25/05), that is about $1.2 each battery which by far is the best value I’ve found anywhere online or elsewhere for batteries about the same capacity. I did some research and read some online reviews about batteryspace.com. All seem to be positive, so I decided to give them a try and placed my order. The package arrived very soon in a nicely padded package.

I use a LA Crosse smart battery charger that can display the capacity of batteries on its LCD in the test mode. I immediately put my new batteries into the charger and run the test mode. To my surprise, all powerizer batteries read beyond 2300mAh after fully changed. They seem to be better than the advertised specifications. I am very pleased. I used a lot of AA batteries in toys for my baby son, which is the reason I buy a lot of rechargeable batteries. I think the investment in rechargeable batteries will eventually pay off compared with using Alkaline batteries. Alkaline batteries cost about 40 cents each, so three charges or little more of this Powerizer battery will pay for itself. I used to buy Energizer batteries. They cost about 2.5 dollars each. Although they work very well, it is too pricy to buy hundreds of them. I compared the 2300mAh Powerizer battery with the 2500mAh Energizer battery with some toys and portable mp3 players. I have to say that both batteries work very well. There is really not much difference to notice.
These Powerizer batteries also work well with fast charging. I tried 500mA current charging, it took only about 4 hours to be fully charged. I have not seen any side effects. I have not tried even large current charging, but I think in general fast charging would damage battery life. With some spare batteries, I can afford slow charging now.

One thing I need to mention is that I especially like the free battery holders that came with the order. Previously I often randomly put batteries somewhere on my desk. It was very difficult for me to keep track of my batteries since there are too many of them, and I can not tell which are charged, and which are not. With the battery holder, it is much easier for me to organize them. Each hold also has a small lock tab which keeps it safe from baby. They are very nice freebies to have.

Overall, I think my first experience with batterspace.com is very happy. I am satisfied with my purchase especially considering the low price and the quality. I will buy more from them in the future. I highly recommend it.

"First of all, you have to do your research in batteries, and you realize that there is a huge fluxuation in battery price. (I am only talking about rechargeable batteries here.) The main reason is battery quality. And how long they last. (mAh this is like the gas tank of the battery, and the higher the number the better.) At this website you will find basically the highest quality (NiMH) and the longest lasting (mAh) batteries out there. Also you will get the best “smart” chargers, so you know they are getting the best charge. I just barley got married and when I grew up we always had dozens and dozens of batteries lying around like I’m sure everyone did. Some are rechargeable, most are not, more you don’t even know if they still have any juice in them, it was ridiculous. So when I got married, I vowed never to be like that. So I spent about $100, just to stockpile a good number of high quality identical rechargeable batteries that will last me for years and years to come. While one may think I’m crazy for buying about $100 in batteries, these will pay for themselves within the first year of use, especially if you have a digital camera that eats batteries. These batteries you can recharge up to 1000 times. They say they don’t last as long as alkaline batteries, but like I care. I can’t tell the difference, and when they run out, I just pop new fresh ones in, and recharge the old ones saving me a pocket pull of change every time. So all in all, this was a good buy. I like this company because they seem to ONLY stock good stuff. You will not have to look through their entire list of inventory looking for the best batteries that they stock. They don’t stock crap, they only stock one kind; the best. So you will not have to choose between 34 different kind of AA batteries. You’re not going to have to sit there and sort by mAh or by price to try and get the best match like you have to at other stores. All in all, I will definitely order with them again. You can’t go wrong with this company. REMEMBER to look on the internet for a promotional code, and get 5% off at least.

I ordered:
1. BC1HU Computer-Controlled Universal Battery Charger for all size Batteries
2. 24 Pcs AA 2250mAh
3. 12 Pcs 750mAh AAA High Capacity NiMH Rechargeable Batteries
4. Two 9V NiMH 170 mAh retangular NiMH Rechargeable Batteries
And this was sent for free: Ultra White LED Key Chain & Mini Flashlight w 3 Extra battery
