"Unicomp is knowingly selling us defective keyboards. I received a new Ultra Classic USB 104 keyboard that was so badly bowed it wouldn't sit flush on a desk. The upper and lower frames are also so poorly misaligned that the case clicks every time any pressure is applied to it. I was shocked to find out Unicomp considers these normal and indicated that they are using very old tooling that is producing warped and severely misaligned case/frames. What a lousy company! They only offered a partial refund and want to charge a $5 re-inspection fee, charge me for return shipping and not refund original shipping costs -- all the while knowing they are manufacturing garbage with their worn out tooling. Stay far away from this "Made in U.S.A garbage". "

"Customer Service kind of depends on who you talk to, and, although the website is a bit lacking, the product is a good one. They produce a tried and true (and customizable!) product. The company specializes in producing buckling spring keyboards (of which there are a number of YouTube reviews of). I purchased 2 of the less popular "rubberdome" style, and they work great."

"Ordered Wednesday afternoon, had my new keyboard Thursday morning! That's fast shipping. Arrived well packed with an 18 month warranty.

Their website interface isn't very good, but if you can get past that, their keyboards are top notch and still made in the USA!

"While they make great products, they need help with customer service.

They list no stock information on their website and allow orders to be placed even if the item is not in stock. Then, they do not inform you that the item you ordered is not in stock or on backorder unless you contact them wonder where your order is.

Emails to them take a long time to get responded to and you are not able to reach anyone live on the phone (only voicemail).

"Super-fast order processing and shipment.

I ordered the Customizer 104 late one evening and received shipping/tracking information from the PcKeyboard.com folks the very next day indicating that my order had shipped. Just two days later, I was typing on this fantastic keyboard!

This was pretty much the perfect deal all the way around, so I'll definitely buy from the again, and do recommend them and their keyboards to others.

Thanks, Unicomp!

* Edit: I've just purchased my 2nd keyboard from Unicomp, and this deal went as smoothly as the first. They processed and shipped my order the very next day, package tracking information was emailed to me, the order packaging was very good, and the keyboards themselves are excellent.

I ordered another Customizer 104 because of the quality that I found in the first one. Computer components made in the USA are becoming difficult to find, but try one of these and you'll immediately see and feel the difference. I do own a few of the older IBM Model M keyboards from the 1980's as well, but the advantage with these is that they come with a black finish, and have a USB connection.

Thanks once again, Unicomp!

"Ordered an Endurapro 104 keyboard via pckeyboard.com on Dec. 30, received today. Good build quality, it feels solid. Heavy too, the thing weighs at least a few pounds. And clicky :) Happy with the purchase. Thanks."
