"Like all the other reviews I was also defrauded by this company swearing my item shipped last time I called the 800 number and it never did ship and then the 800 number was called I notified the FTC who just puts the information in the data bank and am in the process of notifying consumer protection. Further when I just today December 4, 2004 clicked on their link on the online invoice I saved it came up to a company called i herb so I believe they are now operation under a different name.

"IT IS A FRAUD!!

How stupid I am after almost 2 months to find out Herbal Advisor online company is a fraud.
8/26/04 ordered a product at herbaladvisor.com and my credit card has been charged.
9/10/04 checked their website and my order has not been shipped, so called them and they said my order has been damaged in shipping and they will ship the order again.
9/22/04 still have not got my order so call their 800 number and spoke with a woman name "Mary" with an Indian Accent. She said the manufacturer has stopped producing this product and I can get my money back in 3-4 days.
10/03/04 still have not got my money back, so called again and their 800 number is always busy.
10/20/04 called their 800 number again and the line is still busy. So I search this company on the website and read the customer comments and just found out this is a website scams. called my credit card company and got my money back.
I learned a lesson for ordering a product on line. Either ordering from a famous or popular company or do more search before ordering. And I have to pay attention to my credit card statement to make sure the Herbal Advisor company won't charge me again in the future because they already know my credit card number.
I will report this fraud to Federal Law Enforcement Authorities.

"The following were comments I made to a health listserver a couple weeks ago. Everything turned out okay - the chargeback was processed and I received the refund!

www.herbaladvisor.com was one of the cheapest places to shop online for supplements. However, I rarely ordered from them since it would take two to three weeks or more to get the products. I had not purchased anything from them in a long while and decided in August to give them another try to see if they had improved.

I placed the order 8/12 and two weeks later checked on it and it had not shipped. I emailed customer service and was ignored. A few days later I called their toll free call center (staffed by people who spoke little english) and was told the order was damaged in shipping and would be sent within a week. It was not. I emailed and was told that the order was on the way even though it showed up on their tracking system that it had not yet been filled.

I called back and was then told items were on backorder and waited another week before calling - got the same story. After a week I asked for a refund and never received it. I spoke to my credit card company about doing a chargeback and they said I should try to get them to issue a refund once more before doing so.

Just now I have called both their US number and toll free call center and both have been disconnected. I will do a chargeback first thing Monday morning but it may be too late.

"I placed an order 7/14/2004 and received it in full about 10 days later. I have been ordering from them for about 2 years and have not had any problems. So, today (10/12/04)I try to access their website and I can't. What happened? Did they shut down? Then I noticed this website in the search engine and read some of the comments about Herbal Advisor.OH BOY-Big Red Flag #1. Now and always I have shopped from more than one internet store when buying supplements and each time I compare prices. When trying to place an order from herbaladvisor.com sometime in September of 2004 I noticed that their prices had risen extremely high and decided to purchase elsewhere. Good thing I did! This was actually Big Red Flag #1. It looks like they may be going out of business. Maybe BANKRUPTCY. Good luck trying to get your money back. This is the risk all people take when ordering from small companies on the internet. A LESSON LEARNED. Be happy your order was not in the thousand(s) dollar range. It could be worse."

"How dare these people keep their website up and running! I paid for an order on September 10th, and still have not received my products, nor have I been reimbursed! I e-mailed herbaladvisor's customer support e-mail for days, then called the 1-800 number for days on end, and finally spoke to "Mary" with an Indian Accent. "Mary" told me the reason I could not track my order was because the website wasn't updated! Well, I called back a few days later - only to find that the 1-800 number had been disconnected!!! However, the order form is still operational, operational for those unknowing victims. HOW DARE THESE PEOPLE STILL ALLOW PEOPLE TO ORDER!!! They are rip off artists and Herbal Advisor's website is a scam. I have not been reimbursed for my order nor have they delivered my products. I will be notifying Federal Law Enforcement Authorities...and since I am a TV News Personality for FOX in California - I will make sure to use Herbal Advisor as an example of Website Scams in a specific televised news story.

"As of today, 10-8-04, I have not received the order. According to my credit card company, the payment was processed 9-19-04. All E-Mails, requesting status of the order and shipping date, have gone unanswered. Likewise, their 800# and their ***-***-**** have "been disconnected, or are no longer in service". My credit card company says that cannot resolve any dispute until after 30 days have expired."

They do not send anything out.

They do not refund your order.

My orders totalling $70 are now in dispute with Visa.

I am in contact with the California Attorney General's office.

Their prices are low because they never actually send anything out!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

"I still have not received my order. I have sent e-mails (no response) and called on several occasions. They told me when I would call that the order was shipped but that they would ship another order shortly and to check back. Now when I call (several times) all I get is a busy signal. The only conclusion that I can draw is that they are no longer in business and I am out my $80. I will be contacting the California attorney general; somehow there website needs to be taken out of commission so that they can't continue to collect payments."

"THIS COMPANY IS LOUSY!!! STEER CLEAR OF HERBALADVISOR.COM!!!!!!!!

I placed an order for eyedrops on 9/2/04, and my debit card was charged on 9/7/04. I called the company on 9/13 to find out where my order was. They told me I should receive it in a few days. I called again on 9/17 to follow up again. They told me that I would receive my order on 9/20. I called on 9/27 to find out why I STILL hadn't received my order. Their 800 number is now out of service, and when I called their local number numerous times, I got a message saying that the mailbox was full. I was able to get ahold of someone at that local number twice, and both times, the person answered by saying "yes", and when I asked if I could find out the status of my herbaladvisor.com order, they said "wrong number" and hung up. I have been trying to call for the last 4 days and haven't been able to get ahold of anyone. I also sent 4 emails and have never received a response.

I reported them to the Better Business Bureau on 9/28 and called my bank to report a dispute of the amount they charged me. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS CORRUPT COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

"My purchase was placed on backorder and I was never notified. Almost a month has passed. When I tried to call their home office to inquire as to any shipment date I was told they were not answering and another of their numbers stated that the phone has been disconnected. Therefore I could not cancel. In the meantime they had charged my credit account. I called my credit card company to contest the payment. Under these adverse conditions I would not recommend this company."

"I placed an order for Kava, in the amount of over $130. They debited my VISA card immediately, but today, eight days later, they have done nothing about shipping the merchandise. In response to my first email to "Customer Support," they sent a reply, minus names or punctuation, explaining that a "glitch" has caused them to lose my shipping information. (Note that they did not take the initiative to email me first after their "glitch".) Since then, they ignore both my emails and my messages to the so-called "live" company representative. I am afraid they may be a fraud."
