In love with the shop

"There are always some things that I'd like or would love to purchase every time I enter a Forever 21 store and look around. More often than not, though, I don't buy anything as I am fairly conscious of my budget and do my best to be smart and practical with my purchases. But on days when I have a little extra to treat myself, when it is available at the mall I want to frequent, it's one of the stores I go to."

Horrible Customer Service

"I ordered from Forever 21 recently and was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received after having a problem with my order. My order shipped from them on April 3, and arrived April 9th. I was extremely excited, being that I was waiting for new work clothes for once I am able to go back to work after this pandemic; and have always loved shopping with Forever 21 in the past. With that being said, once I opened the box, I realized a coat I ordered (that was on sale for the price of $23.99) was not in my package. After trying to contact Forever 21 through their online portal on their website MULTIPLE times, although I am sure none of the messages I sent went through because all their page does is refresh, I decided to send an email to them. I sent multiple emails, up until April 16th, when I finally got a response. The email more so felt as if they were blaming me, and suspecting me of not telling the truth with not having an item in my package. They proceeded to ask me to send them pictures of the box etc. as proof, which I did not have because it had been over a week at this point and like most people, you take your items out once you get a delivery and don't keep the box. On April 21st, they contacted me again after my recent response email back to them and now wanted me to fill out an Affidavit form, for them to even look in to why my coat I ordered was missing. I was really confused with this customer service approach because it not only came off rude, but is not solving the simple problem of replacing the item, or refunding me. I even said it could be 100% store credit, because I would just rather re-buy the coat, or buy something else if it is not in stock anymore. When the package arrived, everything was perfect. The box was not damaged, not tampered with, and everything I ordered was in there (and I ordered a lot) except the coat. I work in retail myself and have for years, and I know what it is like to just misplace something by accident or forget to put it in there, because mistakes DO happen. I do not think that the customer, like myself, should feel blamed for a mistake that I know had nothing to do with me, or even the mail delivery system. Sadly, going forward, I do not see myself supporting, recommending, or shopping with Forever 21 anymore after this, and now can understand partially why they may be going out of business as a company."

Poor online services

"I normally don't take the time to come and write reviews. But I am fed up with this company. I tried to still shop with them on behalf of my teenage daughter. But continuously, I stay dealing with issues from the online department. I returned one order in December and was told that their warehouse had received it and give it to some days to process my refund...I wait after a week of not even receiving the return acknowledgement email you get before a refund is completed. I call again and now the rep tells me it's in transit to the warehouse. I explained that It was already confirmed that they had it. The rep totally ignored me and told me to wait for an email. Next I went to inquire about a second order I placed on the same day that I did the return, and he says it appears to be lost. So I'm going to email you some paperwork to fill out and return... then allow up to 10 days for it to be processed and your money back. Like why must a customer go through so much on an order that the company verified as lost. This is the 4th incident where I've had to go through problems of not receiving my items or money back. I'm starting to see why some of their stores are closing and they're filing bankruptcy. It's a turnoff for customers to deal with so much hassle. And actual brick and mortar stores are no better...messy, unorganized, and long lines with one poor cashier trying to check everyone out."

Horrible

"I ordered a package, I track it and everyday I track it, it tells me it will arrive that same day. 3 weeks later still no package I call and they tell me my package got lost that In order to get it I have to fill out a paper, and I only have five days to do it, even to get my own money back! So the lady tells me she will email me the form, never received it, horrible horrible service, very frustrating and disappointing"

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE

"Ordered on Cyber Monday & still haven't received any kind of update on my order aside from a lame 20% off coupon. I'm not going to use a 20% off coupon knowing full well after this stunt that I'm never going to get my items. The customer chat online makes you wait in a queue of 200+ people and then when you're just about to be the next customer, the chat closes. I've spent hours on the phone trying to get a customer service rep, and all of my emails have gone unanswered. I don't even need the items I ordered anymore, the event that I ordered them for is over. The excuse about "overwhelming orders" for Black Friday is just that, an excuse. It's a big load of BS & I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER order anything from here again. I've been a true F21 customer for over ten years and I've never experienced a situation like this before. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else. In the meantime, F21 should do itself a favor and stop posting about upcoming collabs and other things on their social media. It's such a bad look and business model to completely disregard this huge issue and continue to ignore it while posting unrelated marketing campaigns on the internet. Embarrassing & I hope they never recover from bankruptcy & are put out of business forever."

Bad service

"I placed order $156 from F21. The next day they canceled my order with unclear reason. I called them to clarify and asked them to process my order again. Then they want me to reorder those items but the promotion is no longer available. So I have to pay more for same order. They do nothing to solve the problem. Very disappointed with their service. "

worst shipping ever!

"I ordered my clothes 2+ weeks ago. (don’t know the exact but I know it was 2+ weeks) and they keep changing the schedule with more days. it’s ridiculous, to be honest, their clothes is great, but some of them are so cheap it breaks apart. my sister rechieved it and her shirt was so wrinkly. just recommend to go in stores to buy instead online because it takes so long to arrive. it took my friend A MONTH to receive her package!"

LAZY, RUDE AND ILLOGICAL

"I have never had so many issues receiving assistance online. I was trying to utilize the APP15 promotion code for the first time, for over a week and it kept reading as an invalid code. I followed all necessary steps to try using it. I was applying it only to regular priced items, no discounted or sale products. I was only using it on the Canadian app as specified as well. I called and emailed many times and was told different things by three different representatives, none of which were logical or helpful.

First lady: The first lady asked for me to provide a product code. and she said that code could only be qualified to 5 items on the entire Canadian Forever 21 website. I told her there was no way that the promotion code, which specified general regular priced items, could only work for 51 items. She continued to mumble and "search" for something. She then told me to search the "sale" tab, and that the code could be applied for those items. I told her that could not be true, considering the code was reserved only for regular priced items. She continued to mumble, and said that if I search for items, there is a circle at the top right corner of the item showing if the code can be used for that item. I tried while on the phone, and said I could not find any circle. I asked her to provide me with an example. She said "let me take a look." Ten minutes later, the line went dead.

Second assistant: Began as what I thought was more helpful than the first. She clarified if I had in fact download the Canadian Forever 21 app, where I was seeing this promotion code displayed on the website, and a few other questions. When she could not answer those questions, she asked me to re download the app and clear the car, then sign back in or out to fresh the app. I did that, which did not help. She then asked me to take a photo [which i had already done] of the error message. I told her that I would prefer not to communicate further through email and that I required troubleshooting options over the phone, because I never hear back electronically.

I was then transferred to another representative.

Third assistant: asked for me to send him a screenshot while on the phone, which I did immediately. He could not find the email, though it was validated to send through to the provided email address.

They are unprofessional; they are rude, illogical and lazy. A solution was never provided.

Piece of advice: if a customer service agent from this company ever asks you to provide information via email, or that they will, ensure it is done RIGHT THEN AND THERE over the phone. Receive confirmation for everything you need before hanging up, or you will receive no assistance at all. Challenge them in the moment.

Black & Latino women stay away!

"Cheap, sizes run way too small and the quality is awful. I'm 5'3 and weight a measley 135-140 pounds. I wear a size 5/6 in pants. Let me tell you... the clothes are not made right at forever21. I don't even have hips or a ****; I'm very slender. Every pair of pants that I put on I had to struggle to get it past my hip area that I don't have. Who the heck are these clothes made for? The leg part of the pants were too big for my thigh area, but too small to go over my hip area. Others were too tight to button around my waist, but too loose in the leg area. STOP ORDERING CLOTHES FROM CHINA! Women in AMERICA are not shaped like they are. Flat butts, no or square hips etc. Our clothes need elasticity! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! I wouldn't even buy a pair of sox. Learn how to size properly or ship that crap back where it came from. It's sad when rainbows has better quality clothes than you do. I also purchased items for my sisters as a gift. Ha! They're shapely with hips and ****. They can't fit that crap! Will be returning. "

Robbery

"I wear large in every shirt (nautica, Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Oakley, J.Crew,Brooks, Banks etc.). I'm 5'9" with a 38" chest, and a 32" waist. Based on the info and the size of the model on the web site, and the looseness of the shirt, I thought, "ok a large should be perfect". However as much as I liked the shirts they were a size too small. Well I was charged $25.00 for an education on how crooked this company truly is. It did cost me 25 bucks but they will lose my business forever. It's amazing this company is willing to lose hundreds over a cheap brainfart policy. Oh well, look out Belks here I come.
I felt as if wiping my **** with the shirts my be putting them to good use, but wouldn't you know it, the cheap fabric gave me a rash.

Caveat Emptor! Forever21.com

"Buyer Beware:
My niece wanted a Forever 21 gift card for her birthday. From their online website, sent her a $50 gift card via snail mail, but was never confirmed sent. Days later, got email that there was a billing discrepancy not specified and so the gift card was never sent. Due to the pressure of being late for her birthday, I then sent an online e-gift card and but never sent despite my sister looking through email and junk mail filters, etc for weeks. I wrote Forever 21 at least 3 times without reply. I stayed on hold to get through customer service during their limited service time (I cannot call during work-hours at my work) and got through to a customer service representative who said they can only email again to the same email address, despite my complaints that it didn't work. Unable to get through to a supervisor, but someone may call back in 24 hours - still waiting all business-day and like other customers, am doubtful will ever call. They don't seem to care that you just lost $50 and alot of time and aggravation trying to use their services. If their system fails, they are not willing to give their customers their money back when it's their fault. I wrote the Better Business Bureau to complain, and writing here so others don't think they are alone in their negative experiences. Wondering if because their consumer base is mostly young and/or female that they have are able to get away with being consumer-unfriendly? Not worth the hassle to shop through them, when there are more customer-service friendly companies with which to do business.
