Cheap but not worth it . Pay a little more with another company

"This company has given me the run around with a ticket I booked. They lie, each rep has a different story and the supervisors are rude and yell at customers. I was informed by the airline that they refunded all tickets to Japan due to the country sign closed during the pandemic. When I called explore trip to inquire about the refund they are giving me the run around . Despite my own knowledge they even got me to pay an extra $200 to keep the ticket to get a credit despite the country being closed.

Today I spoke with a “ supervisor” Santiago who yelled at me , interrupted me when I was speaking and would not let me voice my disappointment in the company ( which as a supervisor he is supposed to take complaints and hopefully make corrections ). This is very disheartening and I will never use this company again. I will also be issuing my social media platforms to express my grievances with this company in hopes to warn others.

never go for this cheap company

"Cancelled my trips without any notice, did not have the amount of refund, never issued the refund. The amount that they were supposed to refund did not reflect the millage or expenses that I had to buy new tickets. Customer service could not connect with their supervisor, could not provide the phone number, email or work schedule of his supervisors. Customer service told me he will answer No to all my question, that he is removing his headsets and I can continue talking to myself! And I can assure you I am not a bla bla bla person, I am a person of few words!"

Buyer beware! Bait and switch.

"They take your money and then change the terms of the deal. We had a large unpaid balance (surprise!) on the tickets when we arrived at the ticketing gate, even though we'd paid in full to Exploretrip. "

"Explore" you!

"1 star is toooo much!! Don’t trust your money with them! Buy directly from the AirCompany!

We are a family of four. I work in healthcare. Unfortunately, a week before the trip, I caught COVID. In the following days, my husband and the kids got infected too. So, travelling became impossible/illegal. We promptly let ExploreTrip know of our situation. Did the same with the AirCompany. The cie then changed the ticket to an “open ticket”, to avoid paying no-show fees. All seemed ok.

We then contacted the AirCompany to know how to proceed to re-book the ticket. After providing the proofs of the COVID tests, we were told that the ticket could be re-booked at no cost in our case. We didn’t need to pay for fare differences as well. We had this in writing from the AirCompany. We then contacted Exploretrip, because the ticket was issued by them. That’s when the nightmare started.

We called them on January 21st, and was told we would need to pay the difference. We had to argue with the agent, who even after seeing the e-mail by the AirCompany would provide all sorts of excuses. From “you should rebook with the AirCompany”, to you have to pay the price difference according to the “fare rules” (though again, this was not what the AirCompany said in writing to our personal e-mail). We spent a week calling ExploreTrip multiple times, and getting stalled. We have been told multiple times that supervisors or agents would call to solve the issue, but they haven’t so far. They should be paying us for hours of time spent over the phone with them! Such a big time consuming... stress piling up... We are already going to such difficult time and they are making everything worse!

Our trip is to Thailand. They have very strict COVID rules. It takes 7 days to get the documents ready to visit the country. But to get it done, we need plane tickets, and thus ExploreTrip “goodwill”. We are now risking getting our trip further ruined by ExploreTrip.

Bottom line: The AirCompany was very reasonable with us, but ExploreTrip is just thinking about making the extra cash out of people’s hardship.

Why buy a ticket from ExploreTrip if they use the opportunity to “explore” you when they can?

"they will offer your 50$ discount and later on that unpub guys will start sending you emails for sending them your credit card for verification process, which is very fishy on first stage, why a company need your card copy front side and back side. and your govt id card as well.
they mention the US or Canada number for customer service but actually your line goes to India straight away and a indian accent girl or boy will talk to you and will scam you.

Did not refund what's promised

"I received email confirmation that they will refund my ticket. They refunded partial. But they never refunded the remainder which amount to $2060. I called them at least 10 times. Everytime I called, they keep saying it takes 2-3 billing cycle for the refund. We're 16 months in now and still no refund. Last time I called, they said they will not be refunding the remainder even though there is a written confirmation that they will. I'm thinking contacting a lawyer. Enough with the BS."

Scam company

"This is a scam company. I booked through them, landed in Barcelona, went to check in , airlines said the flight doesn’t exist. Then they said time was changed no flight today to JFK. They said to contact exploretrip to find why this happened. I never got any email or communication about the flight change. Exploretrip lied for 9 hours saying and promising to get me another flight. 9 hours later they told me they would ask for a refund. I stayed in a hotel, wasted my time and booked with a different airline because this company is a scam"

Total SCAM and FRAUD

a Total SCAM! Please be away from this agency.
I called them several times regarding the cancellation of my ticket, but they always tell me to talk to the airline, and the airline is the only one that can help.
But when I called the airline, the airline told me that they cannot see any information because the agency avoids it. The airline cannot even check the price of my ticket.

Scam and Awful company

"
Already talk with my lawyer for this fraudulent people and scam company and is going to be taken care of. All you tell are lies and more lies. Already talk to the airline Air Europa various times and they assure me that you as a travel agency should refund me since we’re in a Pandemic and You know how to do it. And I’ve been waiting since May 2020. still no answer I just want this to be resolved as soon as possible. Awful Customer Service you never left me a message and if you call me maybe it was a private number or a spam number like this company, one of their Agents was very rude and won’t listened me. He don’t care about helping out or at least trying, his name I think is Bret or Brad then he was mocking me talking very slowly on purpose very unprofessional also request him to communicate with his supervisor and he denied it very rude and zero communication and customer service skills. Regarding the refund I’ve been working it out since May and haven’t been able to solve anything understanding the Pandemic and the difficult times we’re living in. Is frustrating already try the airline and the told me to call the travel agency and you should refund me, definitely the worst experience ever, the last agent I call at least was trying and in very professional manners told me that he sent an email requesting the airline to sent the refund. I’m very frustrated with this experience I know it could be better and expect my refund. Don’t know in what world you’re living.

"My flight was canceled and no one informed me about it, while I was packing my stuff I called the Exploretrip to find out about the status of my flight before leaving to the airport and they told me it is cancelled."

A group of scammer, strongly recommended avoiding any deals with them

"I had my worst experience with them ever!

In February 2020, due to the coronavirus issue, the airline offered me to cancel my flight and had a full refund, my flight was supposed to be on March 16th, 2020. After that, I contacted +1000 times with the agency to cancel the flight, however, they refused to do that and forcing me to let them charge my credit card 360$ for 3 tickets after that the tickets would be canceled and a full refund would be issued! I contacted the airline again to question the cancelation fee and I was told it is illegal and it would not be any cancelation fee and even if there is such a thing, it should be deducted from the ticket price, not through another transaction!!!
After +1000 times back and forth, the agency did not cancel the flight, and finally, I asked the airline to remove the flight and the airline's agent told me the flight was removed and the agency is fully responsible to issue a full refund!
On March 7th, 2020, I sent an email and let the agency know that flight was removed by the airline and they had to issue a full refund. On March 13th, 2020, they responded to my email and they said that a full refund issued and it would take 3-4 weeks to be reflected in my credit card which never happened
After more than 5 weeks, I have not seen any refund in my credit card, I emailed the agency back and they said because of the coronavirus issue the airline does not authorize any refunds!!!!
I contacted the airline; they said that there has been no attempt by the agency to request a refund for my tickets!!!
This agency gave me a hard time and put me in trouble just because I did not let them charge me for no reason and no service!!
Every single time I called them, I asked them to talk to a manager or a supervisor, but I was told everybody in the agency was on the same level, no manager, no supervisor!!!!!
I told them to deduct the cancelation fee as much as they wanted from the ticket price and refund the rest but they did not do that!!! they said I had to authorize them to charge my credit card separately
I wish I let them charge my credit card and after that, I was able to report the transaction as a fraud!
Disgusting people, awful customer service....

Just avoid dealing with them...

"I booked a flight with them, airline cancelled, they did not notify of cancelation, called them and they sent me to airline, airline sent me back to them. Nightmare to get hold of them, ask for supervisor, refused to do that, ask for refund, refused to do that. Overall, very unprofessional, dishonest, never do business again."

The absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with

"THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They are liars, they just want to steal your money, never ever ever book with them. My flights with porter that I booked through explore trip were cancelled because of COVID-19, spoke to porter 3 times and they told me every time yes they will issue you a refund they just need to call us on your behalf because we don’t have your credit card number. Denzel who I was speaking to from explore trip said he would try to call porter, came back and LIED to me told me that porter said only credits but when I called porter back they said no we have notes in our system saying we spoke to Denzel and gave him the waiver code to give the refund but he blatantly lied and said it wasn’t possible. I’ve spent multiple days and hours trying to call, not to mention takes about an hour to speak to someone. I was told Denzel would call me back, never got a call back. They also hung up on me multiple times during my calls. They are liars and just want to rob you of your money. I warn you to never ever book with this awful company that has terrible customer service. I wish I could give them less than one star, they deserve zero."
