Sellers beware, high fees and hold your money for 30 days

"Sold 5 graphic cards. 3 cards sold to 3 different people and funds where released upon delivery. The other 2 was bought together making the value over 1500 bucks. Buyer left positive feedback saying items work great, but ebay is holding those funds for 30 days. So don't sell anything worth over 1000 or your setting yourself up to deal with a 30 day hold. Also in my case, fees was 12.9% of the sale value but they also add shipping cost to the value, so they also charge 12.9% on the shipping cost, which took an extra 15ish dollars I should of gotten. I do not recommend ebay and will no longer use ebay after they release my funds they put on hold for 30 days, for my protection says the customer support. "

EBay permanently close my 15 year account

"EBay permanently close my 15 year old account with 1866 purchase because I returned some items that was counterfeit. One seller claimed it was real when I had reasonable proof it was fake and made an appeal and eBay took his side. They said I was taking advantage of the return policy as I returned an item that was stated “not as describe” which seller claims it was “as describe”. First of all, I have a authentication certificate from Legit Grails that state the item is FAKE. Second, EBay prohibite counterfeit items and they took blindly the sellers side without even looking at my proof of counterfeit. I purchased Chanel purses for around 1000$ to 4000$ and I’ve received 4 times counterfeit WITH proof of authentication of counterfeit. I called maybe 10 times and no one resolved anything and each tell me a different story. With the amount of items I purchased in 15 years, I can't believe Ebay terminated their relationship with me because I did return BROKEN, COUNTERFEIT OR NEVER RECEIVED items and see my business none profitable when its totally their responsibility through the Money back guarantee program to make sure the item is as describe and properly received instead of blaming this on me and permanently close my 15 year account."

Terrible customer service.

"Ebay does nothing to protect sellers from return fraud. Support phone calls all go through phillipines now, so good luck with that. Expect to spend an hour getting lied to. They'll promise they have your back to get you to accept returns, then do jack crap to help when scammers send back empty packages or damaged items."

Crap for sellers

"There is no such thing as SELLER PROTECTION. All there is are things you can do on your end. Nothing on their end. When something goes wrong, they don't listen to sellers and top of that they still charge you fees. You'll end up with a negative balance. "

"I had a 15-year plus seller account got hacked eBay closed it and opened a new seller account for me my first sale on the 30th of April paid on the 30th of April shipped on that Sunday the 2nd delivered by the 4th to the seller positive feedback and tracking proof yet a week and a half has gone by and they won't release my money crooks Steve's liars you do not care about the welfare of people all you care about is money hungry greed"

RUN, READ BEFORE USING

"These people will ruin your credit on their account and could care less about their customers. It is April and I’ve been trying to pay my $14 balance (which was incurred from family children posting and myself deleting them because they were not real) since December. I’ve heard every excuse in the book: wait for two weeks, it’s a technical issue that is being fixed so give it two weeks, we’ve escalated it, we’ve escalated it higher up the ladder, we will send you a special email to pay (never got sent), try this link to pay, and then finally (after spending hours with customer service) they tell me to call Global Collections. I’ve tried to add my card and bank account, my mothers card and bank account, my fathers card and bank account, and my brothers card and bank account. I’ve tried on Apple products, Samsung products, laptops, iPads, surfaces, and desktop computers. Customer service is the most useless thing I have ever dealt with. eBay cares less about their customers (been using them 20 years, 4 years on this account). If you want a headache for half a year ending in them telling you to call a collection agency after you’ve spent all this time trying to pay them, then I would definitely recommend eBay. What a nightmare."

Damn eBay and NEVERY use eBay - Abusive to customer

"I have to select 1 star in order to wrote this review.

Damn eBay - i experienced worst frustration in life. For no reason they charged me $37.43 on my account, and upon contacted eBay, and after twice of the lengthy wasting of time with custoker rep, they promised to remove the mis-charges. Then after 3 months it turned out the charge was not removed with my account suspended and worst of all - i received the Debt Collection company letter. Damn eBay - this is not affecting my credit scoring.

The i contaxred another two time and the customer reps told and promised the same thing to remove the charge. But until today nothing is resolved.

Damn eBay! I remind everyone to stay away from eBay

The paradise for scammers

"I am so disgusted with ebay that I have started the account closure procedure. Absolutely crazy to keep selling on such a site. The commissions are very high and as a seller you have no protection. I leave aside all the cases of people who tried to scam me with the excuse of the object not received (when the tracking shows the opposite) or object not according to description. Scammers are everywhere: what is not acceptable is that ebay doesn`t do anything against scam attempts or verbal assaults despite lots of evidence are provided. The straw that broke the camel's back was the case of an American, who bought a football shirt from me, and already the day after the shipment, started to send an avalanche of messages about the status of the shipment, becoming message after message violent and intimidating. At some point I stopped responding and in response I received negative feedback (with insane language even there) basically 2 days after I sold the item. I reported the customer to ebay and asked them to remove the negative feedback and take action against this user. They did nothing. I saw on the page of this person (who is also a seller) two negative feedbacks within a week (one also complained about the aggressive / intimidating tone of the user). So this is repetitive, not a single episode. Ebay will definitely do something I thought. Result? After a week the person in question no longer had negative feedback and was with 100% positive feedback. Ridiculous... Ebay has no standards, as long as you pay your commissions you can be the worst scammer, you won't suffer any consequences. I am attaching photos with some nice free offenses and threats received and for which ebay has not done (and will not do) anything"

abysmal customer service

"They can't tell right from wrong and shamelessly help scammers against honest customers. I bought an item, which was supposed to be unused, fully functional and in excellent condition. But it was actually in poor condition with damaged and missing part, and stains. I left a negative feedback. This guy begged me for a revision and I wanted to get some partial credit back instead since he denied the return initially and I didn't even have a printer to print out the return label even if I got one from him this time, plus too much time would be wasted for a low value item even if I manage to get a physical return label. I wanted him to refund me first then I would change the feedback as he lied about the item condition first. It was nothing wrong, I just want to get compensated for an item which didn't live up to the description and save my time and protected me from getting scammed the second time. He then refused to refund me, just like I suspected. This lowlife then reported me for asking for partial credit and ebay was on his side and banned me. If it was inacceptable, why even have that option to settle a return request by offering partial credit in seller's hub? He got his negative feedback removed, along with every feedback I left in my account. This is totally absurd! Ebay just indulged his scamming and hurt loyal customers lime me by allowing false condition statement and removing true feedback maliciously. Don't ever do business with them. "

Terminated My Account Without Explanation

"I've bought a handful of items over the years, but never sold anything. I listed an item for sale, took care to describe it as best as possible and within a week, Ebay sent an automated email informing me that my account had been permanently suspended for "potential activity that puts their community at risk." The automated help is useless, the article explaining how to dispute a restriction says to reply to the message from Ebay (even though the message says Do Not Reply), and live support is never available. Certainly not the Ebay I remember."

Stay away from eBay-they hold your money 30 days or more

"I recently sold an item on eBay. The buyer paid right away, I shipped it FedEx right away, the buyer received the item in 2 days. No issues. eBay is holding my payment for a minimum of 30 days. Ebay customer support is awful and they can't help you. They can barely speak English and are unbelievably hard to understand. Customer service has no power to help you. It has become so difficult to get help from eBay. You can't call them any longer. I have been a member with eBay for 18 years. It seems they are just there a virtual company with no humans involved, no common sense. eBay is also charging 12.55% on not only what you sell but on the sales tax and the shipping charges as well. Be aware that you are paying them a sellers fee on sales tax! If you continue to use eBay, you are at their mercy. Unfortunately, you won't know if they changed policy until it's too late. "

Absolutely no help!

"Purchased off website a home telephone. Product arrived open box and a old broken phone replaced the new phone in box. Contacted Seller with absolutely no help from Ebay. Seller said this never happens but showed Seller pictures and agreed there was a mistake . He notified Ebay within hours also was nice enough to not require to sending the phone back saw the pictures and did not want phone back. Ebay does not listen to anybody do yourself stay away they are helpless. By phone forget it, by email stupid blow off replies to send phone back Seller does not want phone. I hate Ebay lost my money they are the worse customer service company in the world. "

Worst company I ever seen, bad customer service and zero protection for seller

"Update:
After they banned my account, they suspended my mothers account now
My mothers account has 0 connection with my account except we are living in the same apartment.
We have different bank account, different email and we also created our accounts with different device.
Her account was created a few years ago and basically has 0 relation to my account. She's just my mother and we living together...
Its absolutely the most horrible website I visited in my life. The worst customer service and worst company I have seen. Very impressed how they treat their customers, they dont care about you at all. They are so big and you are just a nobody. You dont get any protect and help. Their customer service is just unhelpful, you only get reply by a bot and no one of their team wants to help you. They dont even give you the reason why you got banned. They just banned you so randomly without any notice or warning. AND they banned you for your whole life, you are unable to create a new account or selling / buying thing (which I'm not going to do anyway) on their platform without any information.
The only luck thing is that I didn't sell anything here yet. Its totally a waste of time to prepare setup a shop on eBay

Just today I created an eBay account and got immediately suspended after upload my first product made with Printful. What I have done --> 1. Create a prinful & eBay account --> 2. Connected my eBay account with my printful account --> 3. Upload my first product --> 4. Got suspended
Then I wrote an email to them and they just say "Your account was restricted because it exhibits a risk to eBay and to its community. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment. " Which I dont understand what I did at all and this is what they also wrote " We don't provide specific information on what behaviors we have found to be a risk to our site. " So I will never know what I have done... and I have written an email with my wohle morning, and they only used 10 minuted to reply me. It just makes me feel like they didn't read my email at all. They just send me an automatic reply without looking into the case. Really disappointed. Totally a waste of time. What I can say to you if you are planning to sell thing on eBay, just DON'T, STOP. Their customer support is just so horrible. You dont get any help at all if you need
