They Obviously Do Not Want My Business

"I ordered a dress for my daughter. The dress was Ok- it did not look the price and weirdly had no tags on it. My daughter did not like how it looked on her so I requested a return form and was sent a return # by email. I followed all their instructions and returned the dress promptly. My tracking shows it was delivered to them on Oct 16. Today is Nov 2 and I still have not received a refund. I made a claim with Pay Pal but delias told me they could not give me the refund unless I cancelled my claim. So I cancelled it- still no money back. I am about to get very angry. If they ever wanted my business again, they totally lost that chance. They treat customers horribly. "

Might As Well Become A Scam

"Never order from this store! I ordered two pairs of sandals which never came. They falsely advertise on their website that they reply to emails within 48 hours and I emailed them about my package that never arrived and to this day I still did not get a reply. I called the first day and was on hold for over an hour so I just hung up. The next day I called I got a customer service representative Molly and she had absolutely no customer service skills, she was unbelievably rude, and completely unhelpful. Besides tracking your package there is literally nothing else their reps can do for you. There is never a manager or supervisor available to speak to (I called multiple times about the same issue). They interrupt you as you speak and speak down to you as though you are a child or some kind of ignorant animal. I got so fed up that I just wanted a refund which they refused to give me because they wanted to wait to get the package back from the post office, which makes no sense because I never received the package to begin with so whether they get it back or not has nothing to do with me; you cannot withhold my money from me no matter the amount. That makes no sense. I paid for a service so I did my due diligence, they lacked on their end; you should not keep the funds for a service you did not deliver good on. They were completely unwilling to help in anyway and were full of blatant ignorance and disrespect. All the customer service reps have the same nasty attitude, clearly their training is non existent or they are taught to not care about their customers which is the core of what keeps them in business. Never again will I deal with them unless it is a lawsuit for false advertisement and unrifhtful holding of funds. "

"3 weeks ago I ordered 2 pairs of jeans. I am very tall and this was the only company for teens to make them long enough for me. A week ago, we were wondering where our package was. We called the company over 10 times over a few days and no response. we called the UPS, USPS, and my local post office. They hadn't received the package either. I have called the company and the company's shipment number so many times and no one is ever there. I had to have my dad call his credit card company and make a dispute about the purchase. Hopefully I will receive my over 50 dollars back. I hear this company is going out of business, but they have to send their orders still. My dad works in loss prevention for retail and he deals with a lot of this problem. he told me it is delias responsibility to get my order to me, no matter what. This is not okay. "

"DO NOT ORDER FROM DELIA'S ONLINE. I PLACED AN ORDER FOR CHRISTMAS. 3 WEEKS LATER -- NO PACKAGE. YES - THEY HAVE MY MONEY.

I HAVE CALLED ALMOST DAILY, A "SUPERVISOR" WILL CALL ME BACK - THEY NEVER DO.

NOW THE BOOTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SIZE FOR THE HOLIDAY GIFT I PURCHASED.

I TOLD THEM....FIND THEM IN A STORE - MAKE IT YOUR BUSINESS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT AND QUIT APOLOGIZING...DO SOMETHING!!! NOW WAITING FOR ANOTHER SUPERVISOR TO CALL.

THE FACT IS THEY NEVER SHIPPED THE PRODUCT....NO TRACKING NUMBER - NOTHING...

I CANNOT GIVE THE ZERO STARS OR I WOULD....

THEY ARE HORRIBLE - DON'T BOTHER UNLESS YOU FIND IT IN A STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: 12/12: I called AGAIN - 30 minutes this time. Decided to exchange the boot since it was 6 weeks and obviously not shipped. They wanted me to pay again and "refund me" for the other - NO WAY...would you?

So, they went ahead and ordered ANOTHER BOOT. I was told over night shipping and they were in stock. I CHECKED TODAY AND IT SAYS "CANCEL IS OUT OF STOCK" WHAT THE HELL!!!! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL - IT'S STEALING MONEY.
NO WONDER THEY ARE GOING BANKRUPT.

Their "big sale" now? DON"T be tempted to order - they will take your money and you will not get a package. If you have a store in the area go for it.....

"I ordered two pairs of leggings and one had a small hole in it near the tag. I emailed and called about an exchange. I was told that the item was no longer available, and the person I talked to was not willing to substitute another pair. Very unhappy with this store and would not ever purchase here again. Very poor customer service. "

"Delia's has the absolute worst customer service!! I have contacted their customer service in regards to a quality issue with a top I purchased and have yet to receive a call back. The first time I contacted them by telephone, the representative was extremely rude!! The second time I contacted them was via email and they never responded. This was our first and last time dealing with their store!! I will never buy ANYTHING from them being they don't stand by their merchandise."

"I ordered from dELiA*s online store (store.delias.com) for the first time. After I placed my order, I decided it was probably a good idea to look at some reviews. Almost every review (except a few) was terrible. Customer's complained about the customer service, mainly.

I was having a hard time tracking my package a few days after my order and I started to worry that maybe all of the reviews were right! But they weren't.

I called dELiA*s to have my package tracked and the woman on the phone was very kind and helpful.

The day before my package was supposed to arrive there was an error on the label of my package (showing my e-mail instead of my address) so I was told it was sent back from my local post office back to dELiA*s.

I called in with my concern and told dELiA*s what the problem was. Immediately she told me she would ship the dress back express (1-day shipping) as soon as they received it again. But then instead she told me she was just going to send me a new order of the same item with express at no charge to me and that they would just restock the package that was supposed to come back to me. Which means my package will still be here within the next few business days!

So long story short, dELiA*s was very kind, helpful, and understanding. And even though my package will be a few days later than expected, dELiA*s did everything in their power to get it to me as soon as they could.

I am very satisfied with their customer service.

"Delia's is the WORST online experience I have ever had. My daughter got a gift card from her grandmother for her birthday. We order online and take advantage of the free shipping. We receive 2 separate packages a week apart. Everything is there EXCEPT the one item we need the most , her backpack. Packing slip says its on backorder. We wait and it never appears. Magically I receive a letter with a credit for 20.12 (backpack was $30) and its says thanks for your RETURN! After calling customer service they say, sorry that is for the backpack minus shipping because they don't have the backpack anymore. ? How does that make sense. Customer Service says we will ship you another backpack and expedite it-be here Wed. It's Wed, and order still has not shipped. Call CS back and she says that the order has not been shipped because I have not PAID for it! Still on hold because Rep can not figure out why all this happened !! Do NOT shop here. "

"The worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I placed my order and paid for rush shipping and expected the swimsuit to arrive in the 3-5 days as promised. Well, two weeks later, nothing, no swimsuit, no confirmation email, no shipping updates, nada. Not even a statement from my bank telling me that they took the payment. I just figured the transaction didnt go through and took it as a sign to stay away from the company. Well, 3 1/2 weeks later I see that my bank is holding funds for the item. I called up customer service, I ask what's the deal? They tell me they're not sure why it didn't get processed right away, might have been a few reasons. The worst part is, I didn't get to wear the swimsuit I paid double for with shipping to my vacation. Because almost 4 weeks later is when they shipped it out. Really???? C'mon folks... You can do better than to order from this slimy retail establishment."

"Jesus Christ. Really, Delias? You have a "tracking number" that can't be tracked, but directs you to a different page saying, "We're sorry. Please wait 7-10 business days to receive your order." Um, duh? I got that the first 15 times. Crooked service.

This is the first and last time I order from you guys. The 7-10 days part isn't the problem. I called the day after I placed my order to see if I could just cancel it so I could go to my local delias store and see if they have it in stock (they said OF COURSE, neglecting to tell me that I would THEN just have double of something that I can't return). I thought to myself, I'll just track it instead.

Wrong. No, you won't. They'll give you a bogus tracking number on the delias site after you enter in your order number and zip code. When you speak to Customer Service, they'll tell you it's through USPS, but it reads online as shipped via RMX Shipping Services (good luck tracking THAT)!

Update your processes and policies! I've spoken with many people who've had the same problem. I will be sure to spread the word!

Obviously, the return policies and tracking are a big problem for many people!

"After reading all of the awful reviews for Delias.com I almost cancelled our order. I did not, and all items arrived in a timely manner (6 swim pieces). We kept two items that fit perfectly and returned the rest with their ups printout label. I received a refund (minus the shipping cost which you know about from their paper work) within 10 days of shipping back the items. Very easy process! "

"Horrible. I ordered a watch for my niece for Christmas. I received an email confirmation of the order, then nothing for three weeks. I finally checked the order status on line only to see "order cancelled". When I called, they said that they wont be getting any watches, but I wasn't charged. I asked why I didn't get any emails notifying me of this, and the rep had no answer. If you buy something from Delia's online, it may or may not be available, and you won't know unless you keep checking. Now it is January, and I'm shopping for a new Christmas gift.

I did send an email to Delia's online customer service and other than an automatic reply, no one has responded.

"DO NOT order online from this site. If you don't end up sending the clothes back due to incorrect sizing or their complete dissimilitude from the site's description and/or picture (which has happened fairly frequently in my experience), they will likely be "backorder cancelled" for you. I have ordered from this site on three separate occasions in the past two months, and each time, at least one item was "backorder cancelled," which I did not find out until my partial package was delivered to my door with said message printed on my receipt. Items are slow to ship and unless you have an account with this new "shoprunner" site, it is extremely expensive. My last order consisted of 4 items (one of which was backorder cancelled) and shipping would have been close to $25 had I not given in and signed up for the shoprunner trial. That was nearly 25% of what I paid for the clothes themselves! Clothing from this site is often VERY highly priced as well, given the quality, and sizes are often not accurate according to the site's own sizing chart. Very disappointed and frustrated with this site!"

"Honestly, I think most of these reviews are unreasonable. When something on this site is back ordered, basically it will always get cancelled, which is frustrating but I don't think it warrants the hate I am reading. My first order, I had to call and verify over the phone(I'm in texas) so I mean, that wasn't a problem. I never have an issue with wanting further info to verify my identity.

I get my items in a timely fashion. I have a shoprunner account so I never pay for shipping and always have two day shipping. If you're having shipping rates that are $14 plus, it would probably be in your best monetary interest to get a shoprunner trial just to order your stuff. The only problem I have with this site is that when an order ships, they send you an email that doesn't specify the items that are being shipped. It took me a while to notice that. Overall, I think this site is ok. I shop here often, things are reasonably priced with easy access to clearance items and codes.
