"I too was not aware of the $12 monthly membership fee. My dissatisfaction was from being unable to redeem my movie ticket codes. Every time I tried to redeem at movie tickets .com I would get an error message. Twice I ended up having to purchase tickets at the theatre for full price, even though I was supposed to have 5 tickets through cinema deals. It ended up costing me three times as much in the end to see a movie. I requested a refund of the purchased tickets from them as well as cancelation of my membership and they replied that they would. I was quite disappointed that they did not even apologize for the inconvenience or all the problems I had trying to redeem their codes. I would have stayed with them if they would fix the problem, as we are a family of 5 that enjoy the movies and it's very expensive for us to go without discount tickets. There only concern was that I not use the codes I already had or they would charge my account $17 per code! Would not recommend this site, stay away!"

"This website is a SCAM. Go read their terms and conditions and tell me if you thought that there will be 12$ monthly fees. They deceive you and once you realise their deception, they wont refund you the money either and abuse you.

I am filing a complaing agains BBB for them. Do yourself a favor and buy tickets from costco for 1$ expensive but you have peace of mind.

If there was -1000 rating, cinemadeals deserve that.

"Initial deal is good but doesn't clearly explain the "subscription" part of the deal. They charge you $12 PER MONTH - no matter if you buy tickets from them or not in the future. This quickly begins to become very expensive, very quickly. I ended up paying a total of $60 for two tickets over five months of "subscription"!

I never received a single email confirming my subscription to the service not notifying me of the recurring $12 charged each month. In this day and age - this is unacceptable.

They don't appear to be selling their customer list. However, as soon as you cancel, all bets are off. I started receiving marketing spam. This was strange since they never emailed me when I was their customer. The Unscubscribe link in the email lead me back to their website. I found this to be extremely shady practice.
