I got suckered into purchasing a replacement battery (thinking I was dealing with a UK firm) for my laptop. What was delivered was not what I ordered and appears to be a refurbished unit or a fake - certainly very poor quality. The battery does not work correctly. I also got hit with a FedEx bill for £25:00+ Import Duty and all told, the total cost of this rubbish has been nigh on £100!!!.
Trying to get a refund and currently subject to a complaint claim registered with paypal.

"I looked at purchasing a replacement charger for my Samsung netbook. I went through the ordering process, putting in all my details but stopping short at the payment page as it was so badly worded that it made alarm bells ring. Apparently it is a Hong Kong based company but it comes across as unsafe and a scam, so I didn't fill in payment details, exited the site and got my charger elsewhere. 2 days later I receive two emails from this company, one confirming my order, the other asking that they be paid through PayPal.this is like going into a shop, picking up an item, thinking about buying it, asking the merchant about it then changing your mind and putting it back on the shelf. I do not expect to be chased down the street by the merchant, asking for money, it's dodgy. Avoid this company with a barge pole."

I bought a battery on June, the item was stopped at Italian custom in Milan in July (one month after payment) for extra-costs due to import from Hong Kong. I sent the item back and till now no refund. Beware of buy-laptop-battery.co.uk. It is not Uk and it is not safe at all.
