"Was looking to purchase an HDR-PJ790 Camcorder from this company. They had a great price on the item at $1389.00 where other locations had them listed for $1599. Called the company to verify the item was retail boxed and in stock. Was confirmed they where in stock and in retail box. I ordered the item off the website on April 1st 2013. The item had free shipping and stated on the website it came with a bunch of other things like an 8gb memory card, Camcorder bag, Tripod. etc. Everything looked like a great deal. Website said it would usually ship within 24 to 48hrs and to allow for 8 to 12 days for processing. Well 13 days went buy and nothing. No update accept still in processing. Trying calling the company 3 different times and was on hold for over 30 minutes each time with no answer. Finally I got a hold of someone in the sales department. They told me my order hadn't shipped yet because they needed to verify some information. They asked me my address. I told them which they had already had. Then the Sales person asked me if I knew that the item I had order needed a charger and battery. That the item was a wholesale item. I told him I had called before hand and was told it was retail boxed which would have everything needed to operate. He then said well this one doesn't and that I would need to spend an additional $179.99 for a standard charger or $229.99 for a battery only charger and that the battery would be an additional charge. I told him that was not listed on the site that was and that people buying should be informed of this off the website. He then proceeded to try and sell me the camcorder with the full kit which included everything at $1799. I then told him I was just on ebay and saw that a charger which included the battery was selling for $14.99. He then stopped arguing with me got very rude and said I will process you order tomorrow and hung up. Needless to say my order was never processed so I cancelled it 2 days later. This company uses a "Bait and Switch". They advertise an extremely low price to get your order, Never process your order until you call so they can get you to spend more money. They try and sell you extra stuff at extremely high prices and if you don't bite they don't even process your order. They lie and have terrible customer service. Beware if you attempt to purchase anything from them. They even have stuff listed on there site like the HDR-PJ760V which they don't even stock anymore. This is so you will order it, never receive it and have to call them so they can up sell you and get you to spend more money and if you don't spend more money they just won't process the order. Terrible Terrible company"

"My experience with AtlaSoftware was deeply frustrating. I used them because it came up first on Google when I typed in the camera I wanted to buy. They had the cheapest price by nearly 20% and free shipping. Nothing about the site gave me any concern. It looked and navigated like an authentic retail website. Checkout was a breeze, and it used very familiar shopping cart and checkout software. It listed a toll-free customer service number prominently, and said all items in stock shipped within 24-48 hours, and it promptly sent me an invoice by email when I hit "Order." Because I chose free shipping, it said my order would be delivered within 8-12 days.

SOMEHOW MY REVIEW WAS ALTERED, AND LEFT OUT THE DETAILS OF MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ATLASOFTWARE!!!
