"Over the past year I have placed 15+ orders from Alice.com for cleaning supplies. While the prices are good, the delivery is always a nightmare. Over 10 of my orders were damaged in shipment. Having never received notification that my orders would be late or were damaged, I always had to login to my account or call only to find out the order was damaged and needed to be reshipped. After numerous phone calls, $5-$15 credits on orders averaging $60-80, and promises that they were "looking into" the warehouse packaging process, AGAIN I had another order damaged in shipment last week. Same process - no phone call or email from the company, order over a week late, etc. This time I was told that Alice.com was not equipped to handle my type of orders (10 bottles of shower cleaner), and that cleaners are "hard to package." I was apologized to that over 10 of my orders were damaged and was again offered a $15 credit. I made it clear that $15 credit was not sufficient for the history of my account and was told there was nothing else they could do for me. The benefits (good prices) do not outweigh the negatives (lack of customer service, late orders, etc.). BUYER BEWARE."

"I got a few items from this site and got is 7 days later. Exactly 1 week. Everything was fine but the candy I ordered was stale and the soup items were bagged (dried mixes) so I can't comment on the freshness.
I took a list of every day grocery items I usually buy to my local grocery store with Alice.coms prices for comparison. 90% of the items were either the same price or much higher on the website compared to what my local stores charged for the same or equal type items. I visited a few blogs/sites that did reviews on Alice.com and all gave rave reviews of the simplicity of the site and how low the prices were. I am not sure where these reviewers got their prices but my own comparisons found Alice.com too over priced, even with free shipping. Not anywhere I would ever visit and buy from again. It is more cost effective to get these items locally even before weekly sale prices."

Customer service is not only better than most online retailers but equal to or better than most high-end brick-and-mortar retailers.
