They bring damaged, dented appliances to your home

"The delivery was done through AM Transportation Logistics or aka AM HOME delivery. My delivery was scheduled on April 11, 2024 from 6-10 a.m. However, the driver, Jimmy from AM Transportation Logistics called me on April 10, 2024 to see if I was available from 7-8 p.m. I told him I would be, and they delivered the three appliances.
What transpired during and after has been a nightmare. They unboxed each appliance in front of my home. They dropped my range causing a huge dent on the right side. They refused to install the range too. Both installers Jimmy and Adrian from AM Transportation Logistics failed to inform me they dropped my range as they were coming to my front door. They carried the range with their hands versus placing it on a dolly.
The refrigerator was also heavily damaged on both sides, and they forgot to send me the bottom panel to the refrigerator to cover the bottom of the refrigerator. Nor did they connect the water line to my refrigerator. Furthermore, the dishwasher was also heavily damaged. There are marks on the front panel and a big chip on the top right-hand corner of the dishwasher.
The installation was poorly done with a Capital P. Every item I paid for was supposed to be brand new not damaged. Each item came so damaged. The range was so heavily dented it wobbled and could be installed straight because it had a huge dent on the right side.
Furthermore, April 12, 2024, I had a plumber out here to install the range. There was a gas leak. The range not only came damaged, but Jimmy installed the flex pipe to the range and did not tighten it. I had to call ATMOS GAS for a gas leak emergency.
ATMOS GAS came out here on April 12, 2024. They found a small gas leak due to the fact Jimmy did not properly install the flex pipe to the adapter correctly.
Everything that was done on April 10, 2024, had caused me to spend more money and time. The plumber was $1200. ATMOS GAS spent over 3 hours at the home checking to make sure everything was properly installed and there were not any more gas leaks.
This order for AJ Madison was damaged, defective and not what I paid for. I am asking for at least $5410.88 in damages to cover what has happened and what was delivered. I ordered brand new appliances not used or damaged or defective.
Part of the order is AJ Madison’s fault, and the other is the AM Transportation Logistics part. Both failed on each level to bring brand new appliances professionally installed in my home.
Lastly, Jimmy forged initials on a receipt he emailed to me on April 10, 2024. He emailed me the receipt and I noticed the receipt asked if the appliances were new, if the appliances came in undamaged boxes. To each question was an answer ‘Yes’
I was never told of this, nor did any one of the installers speak to me about these questions. They signed an initial on the receipt and emailed me. It is quite bizarre and very unprofessional and criminal to do such a thing.
I have uploaded photos, and the letter from ATMOS GAS noting the gas leak here at the home on April 12, 2024.
DO NOT ORDER ANY APPLIANCES VIA AJ MADISON. Each and every appliance will come to you in a damaged, defected, dented , chipped form. They could care less about helping you as long as the sale was accomplished.

Would never purchase from them again

"Purchased a refrigerator and was told delivery would be November 30th, well the 30th came & gone and no fridge. So I called and they said someone forgot to load it on the truck & it would be delivered on December 1st. Well December 1st, 2pm no word so I called & was told whomever told me that was incorrect and now it was being derived on December 4th. I advised them I would be out of town & not back till the 8th and they advise they do not work on weekend so the next delivery would be the 11th 9am. I said that is find but it has to be early morning because I am going out of town for work in the afternoon, they guaranteed me 1st delivery. Well I get a phone call December 6th that they are at my house trying to deliver the fridge and I am 1200 miles away for work. After back & fort with a supervisor they said no problem we will get you back on for the 11th in the morning. Well here we are the 8th and I get a message the delivery will not be until between 11am & 2:30, wow so much for the morning when I have to leave town on a flight for work and be at the airport by 4ish. Do your self a favor and stay far away from this company. They are no cheaper than other more reliable places."

Nightmare going on 2 months

"Ordered a $12000 GE Mononogram side by side on 11/21/2022. I paid extra delivery charges for a 3rd person to bring the unit up a flight of stairs. I was told 2 weeks. On 12/9/23. They sent a delivery (AM) with 2 people to deliver and install the refrigerator. They looked and said it needed more people. They left it in the garage and told me to call them to get a crew of 4 people to install. After a week of calling (AM) they finally told me they were working with AJ MAdison that the delivery will cost $600 to get it upstairs and $600 to get the old one down. $1200 dollars in total on top of what I paid $850. I called AJ MAdison. It took AJ MAdison a week to come back and say AM is refusing to install the refrigerator. They offered a kickback of the delivery and install fees and an extra $500 and I could find my own installers. Or they could arrange to get it picked up. After 2+ weeks of looking I found a moving company to install it on 1/9/23. That day after refrigerator in place we found out they sent the wrong handle kit. I called immediately and they required me to send back the handle kit in order for them to send me the proper kit. This is now 1/5 months since ordered and a month after they dropped off. I ordered a second set of handles and had them expedite the shipment. It took 4 day to expedite and get it at site on 1/12/23 and it was again the wrong handle set. I called and they said that I had to send it back n order to get them to send me what I ordered. Are you kidding? 2 wrong handle sets and they still won't send me the proper handle unless i order it again. So a third order was placed and was to be expedited as well. A week later No handle has shown and no tracking information. I called them and they have no odea where it is and the tracking information had no status except processed. They said it was shipped back on the thirteenth. A day later they sent an update with tracking and the product as of 1/18/2023 it is finally on is way. Oh it is shipping ground and not via air. It is expected to take 4 days to get here. Did I tell you this was a rental property and I do not live here? I am leaving 2 days before the handles are to arrive. Oh did I mention I sent back the second handle set and they did not process the refund as stated until I called? These guys are horrible if you have an issue beware."

"Nothing good from this company. Salesmen will tell you what you want and dont worry about it. Customer service will never refund or accept return on anything. They delivery a broken dishwasher to us and scammed us for $1100+. "

Appliance Purchase

"I purchased a commercial dryer for one of my customers it was delivered by an outside vendor and it was installed in non working order. The delivery team left the building without leaving any paperwork and forged a signature on their delivery ticket. by doing this they didn't have to bring the unit back with them and instead of a direct replacement it would become a warranty issue I have called repeatedly emailed repeatedly and have gotten on resolution and little to no communication

Don't expect anything past the point of sale!

Bet you can't bet this terrible service story

"AJ Madison provided the worse service experience I have ever encountered. I’m 80, so they had a major mountain to climb, but climb to the top they did. This is the sequence of blunders in delivering and installing a washer dryer to a condo in Manhattan.

1. No show and no communication that they hadn’t shown up.
2. Showed up but just left the washer/dryer on the floor. They claimed there wasn’t enough space to install it. (There was, I measured). No communication, again.
3. Installed the washer dryer but didn’t install the drip pan – just left it on the floor.
4. Agreed to reduce installation fee by 50%, which was fair. Also said they would send a UPS label to return the drip pan. Didn’t send UPS label.
5. After another call, which was terminated twice after a long wait with the message “the person hasn’t set up voice mail,” they sent UPS label. The representative said I would get a refund once they received the package. I told her that I bet I would have to call back to get the refund.
6. I waited a week and won the bet. I called back and was told the refund would be immediately posted.
7. I waited another week and called back as the refund had not posted. This time, four days later, it did.

Also, AJ Madison asked me to fill out their customer satisfaction form. I did with a write up very similar to above, minus points 6 & 7. They said they wouldn’t post it because it didn’t meet their standards.

Can you beat this with a worse customer service story?

DO NOT BUY FROM AJ MADISON

"Under no circumstances should you buy from AJ Madison! Go to ABT, or Best Buy or PC Richards or Lowe's or ANYWHERE ELSE. They sold me an Electrolux washing machine and installation service... but they neglected to tell me that the installers would not be able to complete the installation of all the features of the machine, such as the reversible door. (Washing machines come with a hinge on the left side, but in my tiny space, I need the hinge on the right side.) So now I need to hire ANOTHER installation company (a REAL one) to reverse the door, and it will cost over $300. Call me crazy, but I think that if you sell a machine on with a reversible door on your website, and you sell professional installations, YOU MUST INDICATE THAT THE INSTALLERS ARE UNABLE TO HANDLE ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION.

And that's not all. I wish I could post photos here to show you the state they left my apartment in. They left dirt and garbage all over the floor. Dirt was ground dirt into the carpet in such a way that it will have to be professionally cleaned or replaced. And they dumped the trash, old hoses and dirty hardware in our (full) clothing hamper. As an added bonus, they broke the drain pan under the washer!

The Electrolux machine is great. I just wish I had bought it ANYWHERE ELSE.

Very Disappointing

"I ordered a dishwasher that is "panel ready" from AJ Madison. The order was processed promptly and installed in a reasonable timeframe. Unfortunately i need a small kit with four screws and two brackets to install my panel onto the dishwasher and it is nowhere to be found. I called customer service and after being transferred three times and waiting over 60 minutes no one is able to help me.. Such a small ask. I am very disappointed, but it certainly makes it easier to buy from another company when i need a new appliance. Very poor. Avoid if possible. "

Two times - shame on me

"I have ordered from AJ Madison twice and both times have received dropped appliances. The second time I purchased a washer and dryer just after Thanksgiving and they were ‘in stock’. The were delivered, supposedly, to the delivery company, AM Trucking, the next day. I did not get my appliances until after the first of the year. The first delivery they said parts were missing for the dryer stacking unit, which turned out to be a total lie. Mid-March when the appliances were finally installed, the dryer was broken. Turns out it was dropped. They did send an appliance repair man who told us the appliance was dropped. Just stay away from AJ Madison!! They took forever to resolve this situation. Not worth all the time and effort it took me to make them follow through (contacting them is no simple task)."

BAIT & SWITCH Scam Artists...non-existent customer service

"Ordered 4 Bosch appliances on June 24, 2021 for a kitchen renovation. Received a call from a sales rep who convinced me to switch to "in stock" options, a Lieber fridge and a larger Bosch cooktop than I needed. He told me he would "borrow" a dishwasher from another order to assure I received it. I received the substitute "in stock" appliances with no issue. Then things went south.

I understand there are supply chain issues; however, I continued to receive marketing promo emails encouraging me to order one of the remaining items right away because they were "in stock and ready to ship". When I inquired about the status of my order with customer service, I was told that I "just missed" my allocation and I was [second, third, or fourth] in line for the next shipment. Then I'd get another email promoting the item I'd ordered. I'd forward the promotional email to customer service with my order number asking why they are promoting these items. The replies typically read, "hopefully you'll get yours in the next allocation."

This is a BAIT & SWITCH SCAM. Over 8 months later, I finally send emails suggesting the BAIT & SWITCH SCAM and I receive an email saying my wall oven (advertised as "in stock and ready to ship") will ship and I'll receive a call in 2 business days to schedule delivery. My credit card is charged and I receive no call. I email customer service to inquire when my oven will ship and I'm informed the unit allocated to me was "damaged" so my shipment was "cancelled" and I'll receive an oven in the next allocation. No refund to my credit card.

I go to the AJ Madison website and use "live chat" to ask a sales agent if I order today, when might I expect to receive the wall oven and dishwasher. He says up to three months. I ask if it could ever take up to six. He responds, "possibly, but very unlikely." I ask why I ordered these items over 8 months ago and haven't received them yet. He gives me the email and phone for customer service and disconnects the chat. I take screenshots and send these to AJ Madison. They suggest I buy a lesser quality Bosch dishwasher because a shipment is arriving soon. I decline. I call another appliance company who tells me exactly where my place in line will be if I order the items from them. Ultimately, I cancelled my order for the remaining items and requested refund for "damaged" oven that was allocated to me and never shipped. I ordered from a competitor.

"#AjMadison Do not purchase with AJ Madison! They have poor customer service. The only time you can get in touch with them is when you are purchasing. If there are any issues with a purchase you are placed on hold for over half an hour before hanging up and leave messages to have them not returned. Poor customer service experience! I didn't initially purchase full service delivery was called and talked into it, along with a different more expensive hose/connection set. Then did not get what we paid for, received standard delivery. Still waiting to be contacted, going to file dispute with credit card company next. Very disappointed!"

Horrible

"I regret not reading their review. I purchase a few items in June received delivery in August one the product was the sharp drawer microwave. WOW that experience was horrible on the phone for 1 hr. when she answer the phone the only way she could help is to send e-mail to sharp never the less my microwave was less then 30 days. They never contact me on the update i have to contact sharp. HORRIBLE HORROBLE HORRIBLE THEY DON'T CARE MANAGER PLEASE GET INVOLVE WITH YOUR PEOPLE. I am in the middle of renovating my house and this experience is just disastrous, this was a nightmare for me. I expected more from the company but the agents are just unprofessional and just HORRIBLE!!"
