"I was looking for a costume that was not available in the stores and only online at Zoogster and one other store that wanted $30 more for it. I ordered my costume on a Saturday and paid $15 extra for 3-4 business day shipping. It arrived on Thursday (just within the 3-4 days). When I removed the costume from the packaged it was damaged in two ways. The headpiece had been packaged bent and it stuck out in an unnatural manner. There also was what looked like an ink stain on the off-white top of the costume. I immediately took pictures and sent them along with all the details of my order to their service e-mail. Receiving the costume on the 27th and not actually needing it until the 28th would've allowed them to remedy my situation by shipping another costume overnight which is what I requested in my e-mail. It is now the 31st (Halloween) and my daughter has had to wear the costume with the flaws twice and will have to wear it again today/tonight with the flaws. And I have not even received an automated e-mail that they received my complaint much less a personal e-mail or call (I gave them my phone number) from them. If the costume had not been damaged I would've been satisfied with everything except the shipping (which I think was excessive). But a non-response after 4 days when I sent two e-mails is inexcusable. If you order from them, hope you don't have any problems because the response from service is thus far non-existent."

"I have to say, I need to return an item because I never ended up wearing it and don't think I ever would, but they responded quickly to my return request through Amazon, have good prices, and the item did arrive quickly. I am not affiliated with this merchant, but reviews seem to be mixed, so I don't think people should be scared off. Although I am not too pleased with having to pay a %20 restocking fee :(

"I would not reccomend this company at all! I ordered the "evil jester costume" for my grandson. I recieved the costume and it was damaged. It was defective in not one but 4 places. The shirt was not completely sewn nor were 2 places on the hat, the stuffing was hanging out and the mask looks like it was melted. He could barely see through the eyeholes. Now i have to put out money for a whole new order just to exchange it. That's totally ridiclous."

"I ordered my costume and was so excited to be ahead of schedule, then I received it. It was turquoise (not white, as shown in the picture) and it was TINY. It's supposed to be a dress, however it fits like a shirt and according to the sizing it should be a little big. Now I'm stuck with it because I'm weary of doing an exchange by sending it back with "a note indicating that you have placed your separate exchange order.""

"I was very hesitant on purchasing from this company because of the bad reviews, but decides to take a chance. Total opposite of the bad reviews. Costumes were at least 25% cheaper than anywhere else. Shipping was unbelievable, I ordered on Oct 6th and rec'd Oct 9th. Costumes were beautiful. Customer service was great. Not one problem at all. Very impressed and glad I didn't listen to other reviews. "

"Ordered on a Sunday and my costume was here Wednesday, so fast shipping. However, I ordered a yellow southern belle dress. They sent a white one. And it had a few holes in the fabric.. a few stitches will fix them, but should I really have to mend a brand new $40 costume? Not even going to bother exchanging it after reading these bad customer service reviews.


Update: Ended up exchanging bc it was for a costume wedding at which I discovered no guest may wear white... so I had to return the white dress that should have been yellow in the first place! Called the company and they picked up on the second ring. They were very friendly, helpful, and apologetic and refunded me in full within a reasonable amount of time. Great customer service.

"I ordered on 10/18 for my 3 year old. When the costume had not arrived by the 29th and it was impossible to get anything but a busy signal when calling customer service that week I drove around for four hours to get a back up so my little boy would not be disappointed at his school party the next day.
Oh, and thanks for charging my credit card too.

"I an extremely satisfied Zoogster Customer! I purchased my costume on Sunday October 25th, 6 days before halloween. I received my costume on Wednesday October 28th, earlier than expected! I ordered a legavenue goldilocks dress and that is exactly what I received, there was no deceiving. And I paid less money including shipping then I would have if I purchased the costume in our local halloween store. I will be ordering from zoogster next year!"

"Ordered two costumes on the 18th. Was charged in full within two days. Just found out today, the day before our halloween party that they were not shipping either costume. Mine was out of stock and they decided not so ship my wifes because it appeared to be couples' costumes. I wouldn't have found this out if I didn't call their 1800 number over 10 times as it was busy all day. They also didn't return an email from earlier today and didn't notify me they were not shipping my order. I will never do business with them again and recommend you don't either."

"I ordered my daughters costume 10/14, it was shipped 10/15, I have still yet to see it. Their phone lines are constantly busy, and nobody replies to the emails, I reported them to Amazon, which is who I ordered it through, and will be reporting them to BBB. I am also getting my bank to reverse charges"

"Ordered on 10/21. Site clearly says "SAME DAY SHIPPING" and "WILL NOT CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD UNTIL ORDER SHIPS". My credit card was charged that day. A week later, three days before I needed my costume, I was notified by email that they were out of stock and that my credit card would be refunded. I have yet to see that refund.

"AVOID this merchant at all costs. I have to echo the opinions of most other reviewers. I placed an order on 10/13, realized they charged my card on 10/14, called to check status on 10/23 only to be told they were out of stock for 2/3 of my order. Turns out I didn't get an email (per Stuart M, "Oh, yeah, we've been getting a bunch of those bounced back blank so we don't know who got them and who didn't."). When I asked why they didn't ship the other part, he said would ship it out 2-day air, but couldn't refund my original shipping cost. I called yesterday to check status and he assured me he personally handed it off on Friday for shipping. So, here I am on 10/27 and just received an email from him indicating that since it didn't go out after all, he has "intercepted the package so it will not be delivered" and is refunding my original cost. This kind of service isn't solely incompetence. It takes a special brand of asinine arrogance to jerk someone around like this. Don't waste your time with them. "

"I looked at a bunch of different sites for a Tinkerbell costume and finally found one I liked. Zoogster had the best price, so I ordered it on 10/16 and received a confirmation. I received an email TODAY (10/25) informing me the costume was out of stock and they canceled my order. It took NINE days for them to notify me. Now Halloween is less than a week away and I have to scramble, and probably pay another company for overnight shipping to ensure I will have a costume for our Halloween party. Had Zoogster notified me earlier, I would have had time to order from somewhere else. Never will I order from Zoogster again. I wish I'd read all these reviews before ordering."

"Order costume for Halloween on 10/18. Received order confirmation, but no shipping. When I did not hear anything about shipping after 4 days, I decided to call. Apparently both costumes I ordered were not available. Zoogster did NOT contact me to tell me, and now I am scrambling for a costume. Terrible service and recommend that everyone shop elsewhere. Inexcusable!"
