"Locked out of my own website and all I get after 7 hours on hold is oops, sorry there is nothing we can do!
Apparently if you do something suspicious... like travel you can get locked out of your domain, and no they can't send a message to my phone...I'm out of the country!!! Now I'm forced to purchase another domain and to start over! I'll make sure it's with a capable company this time!!!

"Transferred two domains last year and yahoo still charged me, they do it again this year although is still not the renewal date... they don't offer a chance to get a refund, complete fraud!

Worst ever service, their account management site keeps you redirecting from different places making you login and giving constant errors.

"I had registered a domain with ATT Yahoo a few years ago. Last year I received an email that I should call a certain phone number regarding my domain maintenance. I did call , but the only option was to leave a message. Left a message, nobody called back.
A few days ago, I received an email that my domain name is expiring, and a Yahoo customer service to contact to resolve the issue. Contacted the Yahoo customer service. Nothing. Today I called them. After a painful communication (the person had a very hard time understanding what I was saying) she said that she will be very happy to help me if I just hold on for a second. Waited almost an hour on the phone, the person never returned. They never called the callback number they asked in the beginning.
This is extremely frustrating, because my domain is expiring and I cannot do anything about it. Nor does it seem like Yahoo cares.

"My Yahoo domain came up for renewal on 5/20, I never once received an email to notify me of this. I did check all inboxes including the junk files and never received anything!! Upon calling them I was told basically "too bad, we sent one and now you have to pay us". They automatically took my $34.95 and now refuse to refund as they stated "well now you own that domain for another year". I never wanted it for another year!! And if I had been able to stop it with the renewal letter that I never got this would not have happened. I love how they are working it so they win and we loose every time!!!! Yahoo can go F themselves! I will never use them again!"

"Yahoo Domains was to say the least, a nightmare. Easy to sign up and take your money, next to impossible to transfer to another registrar. Plan on spending hours to terminate your association with them. Their site will mysteriously not work when the time comes to transfer. Stay away from this joke of a company."

"I paid $34.95 on 8-17-2010 for a five–year renewal of an Internet domain. On 8-17-2011 I was automatically charged again for $34.95. I emailed Yahoo about this issue on 8-18-2011 and received a telephone call on 8-19-2011. I spoke first to Steve and then to his supervisor Heather. (The Yahoo case number is 12118324.) Though the 8-17-2010 invoice states “Service: Yahoo! Domains setup 5 years,” and though there is no other itemization on the invoice stating that I actually renewed for just one year, Heather now asserts that I really only renewed for one year in both 2010 and 2011. She further asserts that the terms of this one-year renewal are stated on a contract that, while at her instruction I was able find during our conversation, I am not able to find at all on the Yahoo site now. It is not accessible from either the invoice or (as far as a ten-minute search could ascertain) from my account. Further, when, during our conversation, I did go the site she mentioned, I found a document that, printed, would probably be between ten and fifteen pages long. I am guessing that the pertinent statement within the document is carefully embedded somewhere difficult to spot; I was not able to find it as I spoke to Heather. Further, when I asked for an itemization for my 2011 invoice (in other words an invoice directly stating how long my renewal period is for), she refused. Finally, and without permission, Yahoo canceled my account, so that I no longer own the domain but I am also not being refunded. Yahoo will renew for $111.00"

"horrible sites ...
charged $35 for just domain ... in this day & age, where you can go to godaddy.com for $9 ?

unlike godaddy, I can't let it expired beforehand, and I have to remember to cancel it when it almost expired

also, I let my credit card expired, but for some reason, they are using my paypal instead

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

" I bought my one year service with Yahoo!Domain last year (May 4 2007). On April 21 2008, I found that without noticing me Yahoo!Domain charged me for the second year service which I have not decided to keep or not. I canceled the service the next day (April 22 2008) and until now my money has not been credited back to my bank. I called "Yahoo!Domain" on April 28 and waited for more than half an hour without being connected to any human being. I called them again today and they told me that I didn't act quickly enough to get the refund even though I canceled the service 13 days before the expiration date. What a service! "
