"I ordered two (2) 256MB SODIMM memory modules for a laptop computer along with several DB-9 cables.
The cables arrived via UPS five days later (timely shipping). The two memory modules I ordered were not in the box.
However, the same day, the US Postal Service delivered a package from "OEMPCWorld.com" which contained a single 256MB memory module which was not electrically compatible with the modules I had ordered. The "Bill To" portion of the invoice noted that the memory module was being billed to World of Cables.
I'm not impressed so far. I have requested an RMA to return the mis-shipped memory module. I also asked them to cancel my order for the two memory modules they didn't bother to ship. I don't have any faith in the company to deliver what they advertise.

"Was told cables were in stock and could ship same day. I paid overnight shipping charges and 2 weeks later the order still has not shipped but "should ship today" according to sales rep who would never return my calls.
Believe this company is a fraud and advise everyone to spend an extra couple dollars to deal with a legitimate company."
"A classic BAIT AND SWITCH.
I ordered a 1000 foot spool of Belden "Media Twist" Ethernet cable along with some "Media Twist" patch cables. The next day I got a call asking me to call back about the order and that their hours were in California 8-5 (PST). An attempt to call back got an answering machine saying their hours were 8-5 EST. The next morning I tried to call back again at 7:00 am PST (10:00 EST) and got the same answering machine. I left a message and pushed "5" to forward to a pager.
Later in the day I received a call from Pam saying that they did not have the Media Twist in stock but they would fill the order with the same quality product from a different manufacturer. I said I wanted the Belden Media Twist that I had ordered. She said that they have that on back order and when it is in they could send it but it would cost an additional $80.00 (over the price listed on their web site that I based my order on).
This sounds like a classic BAIT AND SWITCH.
I cancelled the order.
Now I find that on 12/5/06 the order was posted as a charge to my credit card account.
I'll update this report if I have problems with the charges not being reversed in a timely fashion.

Update...my credit card account had the charge reverse posted on December 8th. That is pretty good! They get a plus from me for promptness with the credit back for a cancelled order. However, I'd much rather they do like most businesses and NOT charge the credit card until they are shipping the order!"
