It doesn't block the remote sensor and is barely noticeable placed in front of the TV. Sound quality is great for movies with lots of special effects. It's ok for music. You can add a subwoofer but the bass is just fine without it. If I do decide to add the subwoofer, I will get it from World Wide Stereo. "
