"I had a premium subscription with Wix since Jun 2020 and was satisfied with the service. However, starting in April 2022, I encountered several issues that made me question the integrity of this company. First, my premium subscription was removed without my consent, and it took several emails to get it reinstated. Then, when it was time for renewal, Wix falsely claimed that I had not paid, despite clear evidence to the contrary. After proving my payment, I was granted access to my account once again.

Unfortunately, the worst was yet to come. In October 2022, Wix accused me of using phishing scams and blocked my access to my account. This was based on a single fake report, and even when it became clear that I was not a scammer, Wix played another scammer's move by removing my subscription and increasing the price by 83%. This move hurt my business significantly.

Overall, my experience with Wix has been very disappointing. The company's actions seem to indicate that they are more interested in scamming their customers than providing quality service. If you are considering using Wix, I would caution you to be aware of these issues and to proceed with caution."

"I built a website with them, which I was really pleased with how user friendly it was. The site was very nice. During the course of using the site I made a few sales on the site and noticed that the site had my money on hold. I tried uploading my documents to the site but was unable to get the website to accept my documents. Along with my money being frozen on the website, my paypal account was frozen as well. I called customer service twice and they were not able to upload the documents to the site as well, and referred me to the advanced department who did not fix the account and never got in touch with me. On top of that they have a 30 day account setting were your account must be set up completely or any funds on your account will be REFUNDED back to the customers! So now I have to hope that the money in my accounts are not refunded back to my customers who have already received their products. "

"I've tried to use Wix.com for quite a while, having made a blog with it quite a while ago.

While Wix does offer its "ease of use" suite as it states, it is the slowest, buggiest, glitchiest, and worst website I've ever used in my life.

First off: It's so incredibly slow. You know when you right-click something on windows, and a dialogue-box with multiple options pops up? Well, try that in Wix on anything, and it will take - no joke - 15 seconds for a dialogue box to appear, just to try and change color. I initially thought this may have been my computer, but on multiple - very powerful - desktop and laptop computers, it is so atrociously slow that I have literally gone to the restroom and back before the dialogue box actually loaded after RIGHT CLICKING.

The speed is what causes most of the issues on the site. When typing, if your text box types behind the floating "options/control" panel, the panel will disappear, and you won't be able to edit text, color, or anything except move things around on the page until you save your work, close out of Wix, log out, log back in, and restart the process. This is just to be able to type text into a box.

When putting multiple elements together, there's a wonderful option to "send to back" or "bring to front" that would be great if it actually worked. The "Bring to Front" instead of bringing something to the front, actually doesn't do anything. Ever.

I could go on and on about the specific instances that Wix has caused a near stroke, but it would be a waste of time. If there is ANY alternative, such as Squarespace, WordPress, or any development that you can do instead of Wix, there is not enough recommendation from my side that I can give you. Please, save yourself the blood pressure, and don't use Wix.

"Wix is very easy to use! I don't need a spectacularly complicated website, I didn't want to learn code or tweak endlessly at my website. I found a template which satisfies my needs and I'm customizing it. It's easy to upload photos, to change texts, to make new pages and subpages. In the few months since I've been using it, they implemented the facility to upload your own fonts, so now I can use any curly font I want, with hearts and flowers and whatever I want.

One of the main reasons I chose Wix.com was that they say that even if you don't pay the yearly fee, your website isn't deleted or blocked, it's just downgraded to the unpaid version - meaning there will be the wix logo and stuff on it. "When you subscribe to their Yearly Unlimited Premium plan, their website says that you get 2 free premium apps which are Site Booster and Form Builder.

I only used the Site Booster and I was just charged a total of $9.90 for 2 months of service ($4.95 monthly service charge).

Nowhere in their advertisement says that there will be a monthly charge at all for the service and that is why it says you get it for free with your subscription.

This is clearly, false advertisement!

As of now I have cancelled my subscription for the Site Booster so I won't get charge again.

When I called customer service about this was told that you only get a credit for the first month of service. Again, nowhere that is mentioned.

They issued me a credit for this charge.

I wished that I haven't paid in full up front as is required for the year for the yearly subscription for their service.

As of now is "wasted" money since I can not get a refund for it and is paid until it expires for the yearly service.

As of now I am looking for another company to design my website with and won't be using Wix anymore.

I also haven't finished designing my website completely yet."
