"Initial impression: Spent two weeks looking all over for either of two high quality, latest release lcd monitors: the Iiyama PLE431S-B, and the Samsung Synchmaster 172x. Neither was yet listed on the site, but called and was told product was in fact in stock. After so much searching, felt very skeptical. Nevertheless, I ordered the Iiyama from a knowledgable, polite rep and was told order would arrive 4 days later. After not finding much info about Widgets.com other than what is here (thanks to resellerratings), I decided to take a chance, even though good/bad reviews were mixed and last one was almost a year ago. To finalize, product arrived exactly as specified, in excellent condition. Price was also excellent. Will continue this review once I've had a chance to fully test the monitor, awaiting new hardware from another company.
Follow up Review: Iiyama Monitor from this vendor set up and functioned poorly at first. Set up with analog cable that comes boxed with the shipment to ATI's latest video card, while waited for a DVI cable purchase to arrive by mail. Computer runs XP Pro and display is supposed to be top notch even via analog, but the monitor only supported a 60mhz refresh rate without making things extremely blurry. Was very disappointed with the analog connection, and began to worry about this purchase. Never have I seen analog performance so poor. Fortunately, both video card and monitor supported DVI, so once the DVI cable came, monitor's performance became flawless. Hard to tell if the monitor's analog connection, the cable itself, or the video card's analog connection was to blame for the earlier problems. All in all, happy purchase from Widgets worked out in the end."
