Bad bad customer service

"I visited JTC building to buy some sample stones from Navneet Gems today and I called them from the lobby as I asked to have an entry card. A man from naveet gem asked me what kind of stuff I am looking for and how much I will buy. He told me that he's busy and minimum purchase is $1000. I told him that I just wanna buy some sample stones and he told me to try other shop. How can I guarantee him to buy that much stuff before seeing what they have. I wasted my time and I think they are so arrogant. "

"I buy a lot of gemstones, and I'm always looking for vendors with good prices and high quality. The people a Navneet Gems are very knowledgeable, and courteous.

However, I did a small test order to see how the quality of the stones would be; and response time for the first order. The time to get an order was very good, and the consistence of stone quality was not good (per my buying experience).

The amount of money I've spend for this test order should have yielded a consistence quality gemstone. A portion of the order (12 Gemstones) I could not in good faith pass on to my customers. I brought this to the attention of the sales person, and provided photos of the gemstones. I was told I would received a 50% credit for poor quality stones, as long as I use that credit for a future order.

NO THANK YOU!! My time is to valuable and I don't have faith when you don't have high quality standards. There are other suppliers with higher quality standards and better prices!

They need better "QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS"... I took a lost, I would not buy from them again...

Dear everyone. This review is totally subjective and written in absolute anger. So Alicia came to visit us with her husband few months ago. We made the best quality stones possible but she seemed to be highly disappointed, with high expectations from the stones she many years ago bought from Tucson Arizona. Those were few pieces. She placed the first order of hundreds of stones. The customer is expecting identical stones and thinks these are opaque stones which will be exactly the same height, no tolerance AT ALL. I explained her that we will try to understand each other and the more business we do the better we will understand each others needs. Also explained to her that moonstones are not synthetic but natural stones and thus getting the "blue fire" on the surface so it shows on the face of the stone is very important and the orientation is important while cutting. Ignoring all these facts she went on and I explained she doesn't have to buy the stones if not comfortable. She bought the stones from us for the first order. Then months later, she got in touch with us and told us that she would want to place the second order. Since she was not trusting us already, I told her okay fine we will accept 50% payment this times you can trust our quality. I was this time in our head office in Bangkok where we cut our high end stones and these were cut in our factory in India. So having understood how important customer's satisfaction is, I flew for this order, along with a few other orders I had to QC, so I had this order as a priority. I send photos of every item personally, having to check the height and MM and shape for these 100's of small little stones of 3,4,5, was not a quick task. That is why it took us almost 5 days extra. We shipped right away after rejecting around 30% of the stones that I was like "Nah, lets make this order perfect" and she gets the stones with extremely high expectations. She sends an email in fury that she doesn't accept even 1 piece from this customised order. I thought wow that is really harsh because all the pieces were extremely low height, and I informed that we won't take back stones because this is a customised order. And to confirm I also personally called her in Australia when I was in India. I decided to accept the return, she shipped the stones without asking me how she would, and thailand customs and the JTC's office is not very naive when it comes to getting shipments without any information. According to her, the parcel arrived 10 days ago, and of course paypal couldn't track it, neither could I. I tried several times to track the shipment by the shipping information she sent. I also didn't get any emails whatsoever from her, no communication through email. Paypal decided the case in my favour because no one knew where the tracking was leading to. We have a perdiocal check of the Post every 1 week, so we had nothing. We still trusted her and checked with the staff, showed them random proof and pressurised them. They had hidden the parcel in their own places considering it "disowned". Then Alicia got all crazy and posted reviews everywhere saying we are spam. I sent her many emails to explain her to trust me that there was no parcel and post office is the worst way to send shipments. Now in conclusion, I told her that I am being really polite to checking where the parcel is, otherwise with no information why would I, if its not shipped correctly and to the correct address, without any email or any communication. Also, she posted comments that we are fraud and we didn't give her the money etc. Then after she sent us many emails in furious mood we sent her the money in paypal. Even after that she wrote reviews all over saying many things. For now we are happy to reply to every review she posts. The result of this whole deal was, we were called a fraud, lost our customised order, got stones that we can never use again, sent her all the refund, and still she posted these reviews.

"DO NOT ORDER STONES WITH NAVNEET GEMS - REPORTED FOR FRAUD

I am writing this review to warn people running a small business. I don't want ANYONE to have to go through the stress and blackmail I did dealing with Navneet Gems. Please spend your money elsewhere with honest suppliers that genuinely care for their customers and the product they sell.


I placed 2 custom orders with Navneet Gems and specifically flew to Bangkok to collect the first order. I was not given what I ordered in terms of calibrated shape/height, but I took what acceptable stones I could. Navneet promised if we continued to work with him, he would personally look after each order and make sure it was exactly to our specifications.

After many emails and discussions with Navneet about my concerns re: placing a 2nd order, he guaranteed that if I wasn't happy with the stones the 2nd time, he would refund the order in full. I was happy with that.

The 2nd order arrived and it was much, MUCH worse than the first order - I wasn't able to use one stone as the cut was so poor. Navneet never saw the stones, (he did not QC them as promised) as the order arrived direct from India.

When I contacted him with this information and images of the stones, he proceeded to tell me that I would not get anything better from anywhere else and that I would regret not taking them. He then proceeded to tell me that he believes in Karma and will always treat his customers with respect and honesty.

To avoid more back and forth, I advised Navneet I'd make a claim through Paypal. I sent the stones back via registered post from Australia, however Paypal rejected my claim because they couldn't track the package with Australia Post (Registered Post with Australia Post is not a trackable service - however once the parcel arrives to the destination country, the tracking number becomes visible on the destination country's national postal service, ie: USPS, Thailand Post).

Navneet told Paypal he hadn't received the returned package. I tracked the package with Thailand Post and found it had been received and signed for 12 days earlier.
Blown away by the deceitfulness of Navneet Gems. I'll be reporting them to Paypal for fraud.

Navneet will promise you EVERYTHING and deliver product you wont be able to use.




EDIT: Reported Navneet Gems for Fraud to Paypal. They refunded my purchase in full.

If you are not putting the review down, I am sorry. We really never received the package. I will not even check or bother to check where the package went if it did not come to our POBOX. The address on our PayPal is 100% correct, but post was not the right way to ship to Thailand.

"We ordered some Druzy gem stones from Navneet Gems and Minerals company, we ordered in bulk and their prices were very reasonable. Communication was excellent through out our transaction. The stones we received however was not perfect. They seemed to have some problems coasting it in the right colour but was very willing to help. They re-coated it for no extra fee and after a slight delay we received our package. I am leaving 4 stars because out of the 400 stones we received we needed to return 89 because they still didn't have the right colour and shine. Navneet was very accommodating, and his responses are very professional.
Over all I am satisfied with my purchase. I will be back for more.

"NavneetGems has been my supplier for cabochons since one year 2 months, my recent order was for 6mm round cabochons in moonstone, sapphire, lapis, agate, amethyst and peridot. As always, they guys sent me pictures before sending me goods and once I approved then they sent me, my ordered goods. I have never been unhappy a bit, their services, delivery are always satisfactory. "

"I placed an order with Navneet Gems for custom cut cabochons. After numerous emails back and forth with pictures, sizes, and descriptions, they began production on the cabochons. Over 5 weeks later, I received the gemstones. I was highly disappointed with them. The cutting was absolutely terrible. The edges were jagged and the shape and thickness were very inconsistent. Some stones even had chips and cracks on the surface. The stones were totally unusable for the jewelry pieces I was making with them. I immediately contacted Navneet Gems and was told they were busy with a gemstone fair and would get back to me in 10 days, but assured me they would fix the issue. I emailed them again after not hearing back for 17 days. I waited another 5 days with no response and sent yet another email. This time I received a short response stating they would not be able to take a return because it was a customized order, but to compensate, they would offer me a discount (of an unspecified amount) on my next order. When I wrote back expressing my dissatisfaction, I never received a reply. I then had to explain to my customer that after 2 months of waiting, I would not be able to make the jewelry she ordered. Navneet Gems put me in a very difficult situation and I am stuck with over $500 of unusable gemstones. "
