Scammers

"Ordered item for bathroom remodel, says delivery time 7-10 days then several days later we received an email stating that it would be an additional 3 weeks or longer. Now they will not let us cancel the order without a $150 restocking fee. We will be adding to their MANY BBB reports. Do what we should have done, and avoid this company at all costs. "

Scammers!

"Scammers! I ordered a couch through Wayfair. They went past the date of delivery and hadn't even begun processing my item yet. So I called and canceled my order. I received an email saying I couldn't cancel the order but they would call the warehouse and get my item moving. I said no just cancel it! I want a refund. She said I would have to wait until I receive the couch then follow the return policy by paying Exponential amount of money in shipping costs to return it! I told her I wanted to see that in writing! She didn't respond then today I received an email stating my item has finally shipped. So now I'm going to be out shipping costs because I don't want it. And the return policy states that they don't have to give my money back, that they can give it back as store credit! I'm beyond angry! And want this resolved! They are the ones that dropped the ball in the first place and I shouldn't have to be out this money! I will never ever ever use them again!"

Horrible customer service, and thugs that will not refund your hard-earned money paid for items not received!

"placed order on March 18, 2021, estimated delivery March 26,2021. Wayfair email postponed delivery, delivery never came, April 6, 2021 another postponement, so I cancelled order. On April 23, 2021 email came that order was delivered by FedEx (FALSE !) so Wayfair said it could still take 6 days even if it said "Delivered" ! Wayfair would not put a stop on the order, they would refund me the money paid! They were going to force me to get the delivery then return it! The delivery NEVER came in! Two months later they are still NOT refunding my hardearned money, these people are crooks and I will write posts everywhere I can !! Do Not Buy From Wayfair, Buy from Amazon or Walmart and many others, Wayfair is Way-Unfair !!!!!!!! Crooks !!!!!"

Waiting 7 months, still no delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I ordered a Sauna from Wayfair in December of 2020. It was supposed to be delivered in 6 weeks. It's now June or 2021 and they still have not delivered it! When I call they just keep moving the delivery date out a few more weeks. This company is a scam!!!!! Save your money!!!!! I paid THOUSANDS of dollars and I have received NOTHING!!!"

First and last time buying from Wayfair

"Ordered a wooden dog/cat crate in January come to find out item was not in stock after showing available finally arrived end of April. When I open the box it looked like they had dropped it from a building. After fighting over the phone the agreed to pick it up and order a replacement. Delivery for replacement scheduled for May 21st take the day off of work and it was scheduled for delivery between 7am and 11am I call around 1pm and they told me that I needed to reschedule because item didn’t fit in the truck rescheduled for June 2 when the deliver item item is damaged and wrong color. Not to include I’m still waiting for customer service manager to reply to my email. Save yourself the headache and don’t buy from them. "

Bad delivery and customer service experience

"People should stop doing business with this company and then they will learn how to treat customers.

We have ordered a marble vanity weighing more than 300 lb. We have added the option to be delivered on the floor of our choosing (3rd one).
On the day of the delivery a driver and a helper came, barely managed to put the vanity in the foyer and said they cannot bring it to the 3rd floor. They called their supervisor and she told the to put it back in the truck. They told us it would be easier to leave it in the house and reschedule it later when they were going to bring a third person to help. We rescheduled for two days later. As nobody came in the delivery window of 7-11am I called them and the rep told me they cannot reach the driver, but she will call me back in 20 min. She didn't.
We called again two days later and got the false promise again. As nobody came we called and asked for a manager. The manager lied to us as well and didn't call as promised.

Finally, my wife called to get the $40 back and she didn't want me to escalate with my back to put a charge back for the money we would spend to bring up the item.

Awful first time purchase experience

"First purchase ever from Wayfair and it has been BY FAR the worst overall experience I have ever had with any purchase, anywhere. It started when I purchased a $2100 gazebo. First problem was the shipping, it was scheduled to arrive about 2 weeks after purchase. When it arrived it was one 250lb box which seemed weird for a 13x15 gazebo that according to the order had a shipping weight of 550lb. When I pointed this out to the delivery team they said "nope, order only showed 1 box". So I contacted customer service to verify and got the same response, all the wood, metal hardware, and roofing panels were somehow magically stuffed into this one box. Oooook. Scheduled some friends to come by and help with the installation for the next weekend when I get a call from Wayfair right before they were going to come down. Apparently there was another giant box in their warehouse that belonged to me, they were sorry and would send that out but it would take another week or so to get. Friends couldn't reschedule so I decided to just eat the cost and pay the extra 600 to Wayfair for assembly. Apparently Wayfair contracts their assemblies through Handy.com. Handy gives me a date and schedules 2 guys for installation. I took all the parts out of the boxes and had everything waiting outside as instructed. Guys arrive and seem like good guys so I left them to work and ran to the store. Get a call shortly after from one of the guys saying that some vital hardware was missing or incorrect and that they wouldn't be able to assemble the gazebo without them. He tells me that due to the part being a special part and the product being out of stock at Wayfair they have no clue when the replacement part could come. But if I left it to him he would contact Wayfair, get the part from a contractor supply place he works with and I could either request a refund through Handy and pay him to come back and install or reschedule through Handy but that may take longer. I told him I appreciated the help and I would let him handle it. Felt bad they came out for nothing, tipped them both and left it at that. 5 minutes later the second installer comes back and tries to give me my tip back saying he felt bad for excepting because he believed the first guy (they are both independent contractors that Handy scheduled together) runs a scam. He said this is something apparently this other guy is known for in handy contractor circles. It's something he has done multiple times and he showed me messages between contractors to prove it. Apparently (from what they believe, I have no proof of this) the guy shows up, takes vital parts out of the hardware kit when no one is looking and then claims the product was shipped without the parts. He then offers to help get a refund for the incomplete item and set up a different installation directly through him so that he gets paid twice. I applauded the second installers honestly, told him to keep the tip he deserved, and that I would think on what to do. After thinking about it for about an hour I became madder and madder that the gazebo I purchased and was excited to have installed before memorial day weekend because it was my daughter's birthday and we had a family cookout planned, was not going to be put up because of what sounded like a man's lack of integrity. I called Wayfair and voiced my frustration at the entire experience from shipping to the trainwreck drama filled installation. Wayfairs response? "Sorry bout all that, we will reorder the hardware pack, may take another week or so for you to get. We understand you not wanting to reschedule through Handy for installation. We will request a refund and recommend you pay a different installer of your choice. If the request is approved it will take 3-4 weeks to issue you the 600 dollar refund for the installation, have a good day." Their lack of empathy was shocking but it's 2021 and this sort of response is par for the course. Overall terrible experience, would love to completely wipe my hands of it all, return the product and never deal with any of these companies again but gazebos are seasonal and sold out just about everywhere so I am forced to continue with this nightmare. So instead of enjoying my purchase over the holiday weekend I will be cutting and pasting this review all over the internet to help others avoid this type of headache, if you can."

Never buy from there

"Wayfair is an infection that we should kick out of Canada. Everything they sell is overpriced poor quality items. They probably do thousands of % of margin on their sells. They have 0 customer service, that can range from not answering you to being complete a-holes.

You can't see anything you're getting, and yet they make it impossible for you to return anything, even if it wasn't as advertised. They make you pay shipping to return it, which can to go up to 100$ for furniture. And you can be certain that your item will at the very least be not in perfect condition even if new.

Also, I bought something, and the next day they lowered the price to 120$ less. That is a crazy difference, and I would understand any store not refunding the difference if it was days later, but the next day of the order, they absolutely refused to do anything about this. They told me if I want this price I should pay the shipping to return it to them the day it arrives, then buy it again.

Also, they left the box in front of my door, didn’t bother ringing to say it had arrived (I work from home to I know), and left. It could have easily been stolen or drenched if it was raining.

You should absolutely do anything to not buy from there. Even if you can't seem to find the item you want elsewhere, it's probably just because they changed the name so that you don't find it. Right click on the item image, and do "Search Google for image". You should see at least a couple of other stores that has it, that probably has way better policies, better price, customer service, or is more local.

Buyers beware

"On Jan 19 we ordered a bathtub on Wayfair.com. We were told we would receive the tub in 3 weeks. The tub finally was shipped in March and a delivery date was scheduled. At that time we completed the demolition of our only bathroom with a tub in our home. When the tub arrived, it was damaged in several areas and VERY poorly packaged. We were told to dispose of the tub (which we had to pay to have done). Another tub was ordered to replace the damaged one and I requested additional packaging to avoid any damage. We were told it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. We rescheduled contractors to begin working on our bathroom based on the estimated shipping date provided. We finally received the second tub a month later, damaged, despite the extra packaging. Once again, we paid for the disposal of the tub. Since then, I have been working with an advisor for wayfair to ensure the delivery of a third tub, not damaged, in a timely manner since both our family and our contractors have been greatly inconvenienced. A third tub was scheduled for delivery 2 weeks later and has already had a shipping delay. The only compensation received was 15% off the price of the tub. This does not nearly make up for the trouble we have been put through. I would highly recommend avoiding wayfair for any large purchases as they are incapable of ensuring these large parcel products are available, not damaged and shipped in a timely manner. "

terrible company, be aware!!

"ordered a couched that listed for $599 on 2-16-2021 and got an estimate deliver about 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed by, item got push back till 2nd week of March. That's cool, i can totally wait for it! when time come, it got pushed back again and when i call WayFair, the rep totally promised me it would be deliver to me by first week of April. Fast forward, the item got pushed back again and when i call, the 3rd rep promised me they will totally send me my merchandise by May-2nd. I got so frustrated because their rep continuing promising to follow up with me but i never get one(not even an email). Well, i didnt get my item by May-2nd either so i called Wayfair again and this time they told me that i need to pay an additional of $500 for the couch since they now listed for $1099 on their website! Totally frustrated i asked them to refund me and i would go ahead to buy a new couch at Ikea. It is now May-21st and i still not received my refund nor any email from them. I am basically speechless now!!! that's not how you run your business and i would not recommend this company! please take your money and do business somewhere else, when they take your money, it will be immediately but when it come to refund, it will be dragging with a bunch of excuse and promises!!! It will be the first and last time i would do business with this garbage company!!!!!!!

p/s: spoke to total of 2 managers, 5 reps and they all lied to my face( terrible way to managing your company)

Delivery was left in the driveway

"The vanity, sinks, and countertop WERE ALL LEFT IN THE DRIVEWAY. ---- We received no call or text prior to delivery as was promised. Someone WAS home at the time of delivery but NO ONE RANG THE DOORBELL or otherwise let us know the delivery was being made. In-home/entry delivery was included in the order but that did not happen even though someone was here at the home to receive the delivery. WE WILL NOW HAVE TO MAKE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS to have the heavy vanity and countertop moved into the house. "

Worst scam I have ever encountered!!!
What you see is not what you get!!
Wayfair charges incredibly high prices, so you assume you are getting what is described and pictured as well as quality.
No!!!!
Garbage absolute garbage!!!
Plastic coated “wood”, parts missing, cheap knock offs that look like they came from a dirty alley!!
When you try and return they try and charge you 30% of the purchase price. That is how they make there money, not by selling quality merchandise!!
Do not order from Wayfair!!! Save your hard earned money ;(

Misleading Prices

"I was looking at the Breville Barista Express on Wayfair and was intrigued by an add that said it was normally $999 and being sold for $699. I get tired of these fraudulent pricing schemes that attempt to make you think you are getting a deal with in fact the item has never in the history of being sold at Wayfair or any other retailer been sold at the higher price they’ve listed as their “normal price” before the “major discount”. Even high end stores such as William Sonoma, Sur la Table, et al sell this product for $699. So just be aware that Wayfair commonly sells items for the same price as everyone else and tries to manipulate you by advertising that they are giving some major deal. "

Wayfair apparently doesn't want my business

"I ordered a couch on wayfair and it said it'd ship in 4-6 weeks. Long time, but fine. I check back in about 5 weeks later and wayfair had cancelled my order and never told me about it. I go to check the couch thinking maybe it's out of stock, but no - it's in stock and the price is now over $300 more than the price I ordered it at. I sent an inquiry through customer service on the website a few weeks ago and nothing but crickets."

Terrible Experience

"I read many bad reviews about the Wayfair shipping experience but against my better judgement I took my chances and ordered an office desk which I needed urgently. After waiting 6 weeks for my desk which was supposed to arrive in 4-5 weeks, I was informed that one of the boxes was lost in transit and that I only had the options to order another one and wait another “4-5 weeks” or be refunded. They refused to offer any type of discount or expedited shipping and basically said not our problem despite the fact their shipping is done through their own in house network (according the customer service rep) This is terrible customer service for a company of this size. I will not be a return customer and I would encourage others to stay clear. Read the bad reviews and you will find countless experiences like this as well. "
